I need to down load the newest version for a mac X and then make it work. I keep getting the message on my original Firefox that it is no longer protected against attacks. I've tried to download 4 but it tells me my computer is not compatable for it.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

ever since I downloaded the newest version of Firefox, my Dragon NaturallySpeaking hasn't been working very well. For example, I will say "click register" or "click contact us" to select links and buttons on websites. note carefully that the technique involves a registry edit. be sure to make a backup of any keys you edit. if you're unfamiliar with your registry or registry editing, head to your XP help and support, do a search on registry, and read through the articles that come up.

Until Evernote updates their add-on to mark it compatible with Firefox 6, you can use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ Add-on Compatibility Reporter] to try re-enabling it yourself.
You can also downgrade to a previous version of Firefox from [https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ this archive], but please be warned that some old versions of Firefox have known security bugs that are fixed in later versions. First, make sure hidden folders are viewable. You can do that using Windows Explorer or My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View tab. Look for the radio buttons to show or not to show hidden files and folders.
Now look for C:\Documents and Settings\''username''\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles or some part of that path, or your actual profile folder, which would have had a semi-random name, typically ending with default, or the bookmarkbackups folder, which is the ultimate prize.

To recover your old Firefox settings folder (profile folder), try using a utility like Piriform's Recuva:

That needs to run ASAP before deleted files are overwritten.
