I can't get FaceTime to work since maverick update

I can't get facetime to work since Maverick update just won't go past sing in and sometimes won't sing in ! Anyone got an answer please?

Try to turn your computer clear off and be sure you check Software Update again, and Always turn your computer clear OFF afterward and then RESTART and see how that works out for you.

• My ipad and iPhone have different email addresses in the FaceTime field but I can only get FaceTime to work on my iPhone, how can I get them both working on facebook

My ipad has a different email address than my iPhone, both are mine but I can only get FaceTime to work on my iPhone but seem unable to change the email address in that field

If the basics (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new) don't work, you'll need to bring the phone to Apple for evaluation

• I can't get FaceTime to work, yes I have wi-fi.

i can not get FaceTime to work, yes it's on, yes my account and e-mail match, wi-Fi is on and full strength.
HELP.
< Edited by Host >

Just because you have the wifi signal strength bars, doesn't guarantee you're actually on wifi. Can you open a website in Safari? Can you download an App from the App Store? If you can't, you're not on wifi.
Did you set up facetime using your Apple ID, not necessary your email address?

• I can't get Facetime to work

I cant get Facetime to work. When someone calls me it says call failed. I have used it in the past successfully.

Apple has released a document which is reported to address the recent FaceTime issue.

• Can't get FaceTime to work...any suggestions...it just keeps me in this loop of asking to sign in, then verifying, then asking to sign in again. I know the username and password are correct.

Can't get face time to work. Know the username and password are right. Asks me to sign in...verifying... And then goes back to sign in...

One thing that worked for me:
launched Message app which uses the same backend as Facetime. If it launches, click on the video. May display a Error Dialog. Call AppleCare and give them the number displayed. This will give them the needed info to check your AppleID account for the messaging servers
For some reason FaceTime did not display this error, yet once I gave the Support person the number it was fixed in just a minute.
YMMV

Goto settings>FaceTime register with your apple ID goto settings>general>restrictions check that FaceTime, camera switched on goto>settings>general>date&time make sure it is set to automatically on hope this helps FaceTime only works on wifi so the other person u wish to talk has 2b on wifi

• App store login - not working since Mavericks update

All,
Since I updated to Mavericks, I find I am unable to log into the App Store. I get the login pane OK, enter my credentials, then get a spinner that waits... and waits... And never works.
The Apple ID I am using is good - iTunes likes it fine, and I'm using it to post this. Just the App Store, and only since the Mavericks update; indeed I used the Apple ID to install Mavericks...
Google tells me I am not the only one seeing this - but the suggested fixes do not seem to work for me. Do we know if a "proper" actual official fix wil be forthcoming?
Indeed, do Apple acknowledge that some folks are having a problem with this?
Anyway, in case anyone else stumbles onto this one:
- There are many threads suggesting that deleting the network plist helps (though did not for me)
- For some, deleting /Users/ian/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist helps (though not for me...)
- and so on.
What "works" for me, albeit as a workaround, is to create a new user account on the machine, and use that to access the App Store - with the same ID etc., but this time it works. At least one time, so far!
I'd much rather my regular account Just Worked.
Any of the accounts (myself, wife, etc.) on the machine before the Mavericks upgrade however; they can not log into the App Store any more.
No Idea why not; presumably "something" changed in the updates and that broke the login in some way; though why iTunes et al appear unaffected is less clear!

Just an update to note that, after leaving it alone for a while, I tried the app store again today and it now works from my regular account once again.
Which is nice...
No idea what changed in the meantime, but at least it appears to be working.

• Can't access Mac over network since Mavericks update

Help! Since the update to Mavericks I can't access my iMac over my home network using my Nexus 7 tablet. I used to do it flawlessly right before I updated from Mountain Lion.
I was using ES File Explorer to browse my shared folders on my Mac from my Android Tablet right away and now I keep getting asked for a username and password to connect. I type it correctly but still not able to connect. I tried other file browing apps for my tablet (File Manger, AndSMB,...) but still unable to connect. The apps can scan my network and find the server address (iMac) but can't get access to it.
I must say that the Tablet can access the internet so it's not Tablet network settings related.
I tried the workaround found here http://cammodude.blogspot.ca/. Still not working. Any suggestions?

Try going back and checking the step 3 on the linked instructions for remote login where it mentions:
Step 3: Now enable “Remote Login” in the Sharing menu of System Preferences.
Read more: http://www.shoutpedia.com/transfer-files-mac-os-x-mavericks-android-phone-wifi-e asy-way/#ixzz30iEam8MC
That's the part that will allow it. I've got "Remote Login" checked there' and and then make sure you have whichever user(s)/groups added for the login you're using. I have that set to Administrators and on then on my phone I have it set up with computer IP, port 22, my computer username which is a First Last type format with the space...whatever it normally says on your login screen on your computer or when you get prompted to allow software installs etc. and then the password.
