The only way you could get Lion for free was if you had purchased a new Mac within a certain number of days before Lion's release. Buyers could then get a free upgrade to Lion. That offer is long gone. Otherwise, it's never been free.

Can I copy a download from the App Store?
I have an iMac and a MacBook, so obviously I need to install any app on both computers. I know that I only have to pay once, but is there a way to transfer the new download (or updated app) from one computer to the other? The problem is bandwidth: for example, Lion will end up eating 7 GB if I have to do it twice.
If iPhoto appears in your Mac App Store purchase list, then, it should be downloadable again.
Do you have the most current version of the MBA that came with Lion pre-installed, if so, then you should be able to download iPhoto from the Mac App Store.
Stop in at the Genius Bar at the local Apple Store, and they should be able to fix this for you. -

Every time I try to launch the App Store on my iPhone 5s, it launches and quickly closes. I've reset, synced with iTunes, and turned the phone on and off. Nothing works.

There are a couple of things you can try. The first would be to reset all settings. Go toSettings > General > Reset > Reset all settings.
If the issue persists, try signing out of all services that require signing into your Apple ID and then signing back in.

Downloaded software from App Store crashes on launch
I downloaded a trial version of a sofware program (Pixelator). After installing and using it to make sure it met my needs, I purchased it from the App Store. App Store downloaded another copy of the software then tried to launch it. Now the software won't start; it crashes when launching. The App Store lists the software as "Installed". How do I get this software (and App Store) to work?

I did have spotify premium on my phone, it stopped working so I deleted it from my iphone 5, when I tried reinstalling the app the 'open' tab is no longer available instead there is a picture of a cloud with an arrow coming down from it. Can anyone suggest how I might reinstall the spotify app onto my iphone again?
The 'open' button only show after you've installed it on your phone, the cloud symbol imdicates that the app is only in the cloud - if you tap on the cloud icon it should download onto your phone.

Hello forums, I recently was given a macbook air, A1304. I have a problem on my hands. I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 and would like to upgrade to mavericks. Though, my apple product is not registered under my name. How can I register to download from the app store? Apple says theu are unable to register products right now. Is there another way to download the newest software?

When I try to open a spreadsheet on my Mac that I worked on with my iPhone, I get "You need a newer version of Numbers to open this spreadsheet." When I go to the App store, it says I already have it. I have v. 2.3 and can't seem to download newer version.
If you are running Mavericks, and the Mac App store says you are up to date, then you have Numbers 3.2 as well as Numbers 2.3. You are getting the "Need a newer version message because your Mac is trying to open the document using Numbers 2.3.
Launch Numbers 3, then open the document from within that app, or right click/control-click the document and choose Open with Numbers 3.x.

The apple store is so unhelpful. I have an iMac computer operating on Mac OSX 10.5.8. I want to upgrade to the latest Mountain Lion operating system so I can work with the iCloud on my computer and download my emails. I can't seem to purchase this on-line as it keeps telling me to go to the app store. I haven't got the app store on my computer as I am told I need iCloud for which I need the new operating system, which I can't download or purchase as I am sent back to an instruction telling mee to go to the app store icon.
How difficult can it be to simply purchase the software on-line have it shipped to you so you can install it, in the event it cannot be downloaded as it appears it can't be based on my curent operating systems being Mac OSX 10.5.8.Requirements for OS X 10.6 'Snow Leopard'

Whilst Apple have withdrawn Snow Leopard from download, you can still get it from Apple by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE (if you are in the USA) and they will supply the SL DVD for $30. You can also purchase the code to use to download Lion from the same number.

I downloaded the lateest update and I can't turn off my apps like I did on 6os. The 7os is different and I can't seem to find out if apps turn off now by just closing them. Can anyone explain this to me? Please
