I cannot get adobe premier elements 12 to work on windows 8.1

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and the initial window comes up...when i click on video editor then new project or even open existing project it just spins and spins and finally stops but never opens. worked fine at the end of last school year. this year i cannot do any projects on it...any one else? solutions?

a. Premiere Elements needs to be run on your computer from a User Account with Administrative Privileges. QuickTime (latest version) is
a requirement for Premiere Elements, and both require being used from a User Account with Administrative Privileges.
I do have administrative priveledges on that particular computer. I have also checked that QuickTime is installed.
b. Your school district computer probably has security means (antivirus, firewall(s), special protection programs) which are interfering
with Premiere Elements accessing needed files.
This could be an issue; however, Adobe Elements 12 ran just perfectly all last year. It was not until I started this year that it was giving me issues. Even before we upgraded to 8.1, it was not working at the beginning of this year. Again, though, it worked just fine on our system from January until May.
Do you have an IT specialist who maintains your school network? If so, would it be possible for you to consult with that person to
evaluate "a" and "b"?
I will have my IT guy continue to pursue the problems. I have spent hours and followed every little suggestion and link...sigh...all of the step by steps that were provided were excellently done, they just didn't solve any of the problems. thanks!

Adobe Premier Element 11 not working on Mavericks....

After upgrading Mavericks OS, my adobe premier element 11 purchased at Apple Store is not working and keep on crashing. Any solution?

Adobe Premier Elements 9 stopped working randomly, Please help!

Just recently when I try to open my Adobe Premier Elements 9 and an error message keeps popping up that says "We have detected an incompatible display driver, please update. HD Graphics 4400 3.0.0 - Build 10.18.10.3977." I went and updated the driver but every time I try to open Premier the pop up keeps popping up and when Premier does open, the video tracks on my timeline will not show on the play back screen so it makes editing impossible.
I have had this same Adobe Premier Elements 9 since 2011 and had no problems until about a few days ago.

If you are on Windows, it is VERY likely that a Windows update has changed something

K8n neo4 platinum, cannot get hitachi SATA 250Gig HD to work. pre windows stage

okay so i'm building a computer from scratch. and have everything put together, but for some reason cannot get, nomatter what i try, to get the hitachi 250gig SATA hard drives (2) to be detected. drives are correctly connected and are getting power. i can feel the drives spinning. All SATA ports are enabled. yet the hard drives dont show up at bios or post. doesnt work in ports SATA 1 through 4. only time i can get them to be recognized at all is if i plug them into the SATA 5 and 6 ports, which are the silicom image SATA ports. at this point they show up in the raid config menu, but not at bios or post. when i tried to do a low level format at this stage in the raid config menu, it just remained at 0%. did not let me do anything with them. put all the drivers from the two floppy disks included with the MSI mother board. still did not work. at wits end. if someone could help me i would appreciate it dearly. my specs are listed below. if someone can help me i shall hail you as PC master of the century.

As for the HD, try different SATA HD to see if you can duplicate the problem.

I cannot get Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 & Adobe Premier Elements 12 to download properly.

I have tried to use the Alkamai Dowload Manager and the Alternate Download method to downlown the 7z file. After what appears to be the end of the download (file 1 of 2), A new directory type screen appears with 2 files ....12, and Readme. The screen suggest I add , Extract , but when I extract, nothiing happens. I am very frustrated and am stuck on the very 1st download. I need some technical assistance to get my issues resolved. if you use a direct download (via prodesigntools.com), you will download an exe file and may (if it's a multi-file download like for windows) download a 7z file (which should NOT be extracted).
download the installation file(s) to a new directory and click (or double click) the exe. if you have windows and there is more than 1 install file, make sure both complete downloading before clicking the exe.

If you have IE 9 or IE 10, click on the Setting icon -> Safety -> make sure there is no check on ActiveX Filtering
If there is check, click on Active X Filtering and then close Internet Explorer.
Launch it again and check for Flash Content (Youtube.com)

Getting Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder work with Windows 8.1 on a GT72-2QD

Has anyone ever used Adobe Flash Media Encoder 3.1 or 3.2 to stream live under Windows 8.1? I can't get it detect an audio device with Windows 8.1 x64 on an MSI GT72-2QD laptop. I tried 2 different webcams but the result was the same. Both the internal mic and the ones going with the webcams work fine with other software but when I try FMLE it looks as follows:
It says that there's no audio device connected (although the mics work fine elsewhere), the source select dropout is blank and the audio parameters are grayed out and inactive even with the "audio" box checked. Both versions of FMLE work fine with the same cams on a desktop which has all the same tech specs but uses Win 7 x64. Running FMLE in Win7 compatibility mode or reinstalling with register cleaning doesn't help. I believe FMLE is getting in conflict either with the Windows 8.1 or with some of the preinstalled software (I haven't installed any programs yet other than the ones that came preinstalled with the laptop and uninstalled the Gamecaster prior to installing Adobe Encoder). What can be done about it other than downgrading to Win7?

You cannot burn your high resolution video that you can view on your computer to an AVCHD on DVD disc
that will replay through a regular DVD player. But players are marketed under a variety of names with
different support opportunities. One manufacturer may call its product MultiMedia Player, media player, Blu-ray player,
etc.The bottom line is the specifications for each of the players that are candidates for the playback of
the AVCHD format on DVD disc or the format of interest.
If you upload your HD (1920 x 1080) video to YouTube, YouTube converts the video to flash format, but it goes up as the HD video.
But, beware. Look at the YouTube viewing setting when your uploaded video is playing back. The YouTube default is not
HD. It might be 360p, 480p. If you have a 1080p video, then before the YouTube playback, you should be looking
at the video with the YouTube 1080p HD setting for best viewing. That is a YouTube matter.
Best results depend on you
a. setting up the Premiere Elements project preset to match the properties of the source media. That means, if
you have 1080p source, you (manually) or the project (automatically) set the project preset at
NTSC
DSLR
1080p
DSLR [email protected]
or the PAL counterpart, depending on your region need.
b. if you upload your video to YouTube using the Premiere Elements feature, there is a HD preset, but you cannot
customize it.....if you need customization, then you can export your Timeline to a file...in this example

with Presets = MP4 H.264 1920 x 1080p30 or PAL counterpart
and then customize the preset under the Advanced Button/Video Tab of that preset. In increase quality, you might look to increase
the Bitrate under Advanced Button/Video Tab settings - without compromising the file size.
Then you would upload that file to YouTube at the YouTube web site.
All of the above are factors that need looking into in order to determine the why for what you wrote

I am planning on purchasing Premier Elements 13, would it be better if I bought a new program rather than download an upgrade, just in case the upgrade doesn't load properly due to the error with my existing program?
If I the deleted Premier Elements 9 on my PC would I lose all my existing videos that were produced using Premier Elements 9 or would they be saved so that they can still be worked on in Premier Elements 13?

In fact, I'd highly recommend you download the free trial and give it a test run.
Meantime, go to Windows Update and make sure you have all of the latest Windows updates, including those that don't install automatically. Then go to the nVidia or ATI site and ensure you have the latest driver for your graphics card, and go to Apple.com and ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime, per the program's requirements.

Adobe Premier Elements 7- crash-when burning says" Please insert a blank disk" and already a disk in

I have a Adobe Premier Elements 7. I have had a lot of problems with it of crashing and not burning.. I just had my computer wiped out and installed everything back on like windows xp service pack 3..etc. First I have Windows XP service pack 3 with an Intel Core 2CPU ,6400 @213GHz, 2.13 GHz, 1.98 GB of RAM. When I went into disk menus premier elements 7 crashes... why is that??? also I tried to burn a DVD and does the progress of burniing and almost done burning WHILE there is a dvd in the drive and says"Please insert a blank disk and click ok to burning" why doe sit do that also? I just had adobe reinstalled and my computer wiped out? Please respond and help.. I am using this program as a business of video editing and nee this solved.

Along with Steve's questions, let's talk about the process of Burning a DVD-Video.
From PrE, which is doing the authoring of the DVD-Video, the first thing that happens is a quick check of the Project and the Menu Set chosen. This happens in an instant. Next, the program must Transcode the Timeline to MPEG-2 that is fully DVD-compliant. This takes some time and is a very intensive process, stressing the computer, and also heating things up greatly. This process will often cause a poorly ventilated, or poorly cooled computer to crash with either a reboot, or a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death). Every component, save for the video card, will be stressed like few other programs can do. PrE uses a 2-pass Transcode, where it goes through the entire Timeline, and maps out sections with high motion, or great detail. It builds a "script" on how to proceed, and then goes back at the Timeline with that script, but also still looking for ways to improve things. This is about 90% of the entire Burn Disc process. Nothing has yet to be burned. Instead, files are created in the Scratch Disk folders. Now, the program takes those newly created MPEG-2 files, the Menus, and all navigation such as Markers, and assembles them into another working folder, in the full DVD structure of VIDEO_TS folder with the IFO, BUP and VOB's. When this is done, the actual physical Burn starts. This is quite a ways into the total process. It is at this point, that the program looks at the burner and the blank media, and not before.
When the program cannot get the necessary info from the burner, or the blank media, it will throw an error message, similar to yours. Also, "SenseCode Errors" usually indicate a problem with the burner, or the media.
Now, let's address this last bit. Is the firmware for your burner up to date? If not, update/flash the firmware. This will be available from your burner mfgr's. Web site. Next, what brand of blank media are you using? Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are the most recommended brands. Memorex, TDK, newer Ritek and all store brands should be avoided at all costs. Last, is your burner a fully-certified multi-drive? If so, it should be able to handle +R, or -R media. What type are you using, and are you sure that this is blank media, and not a disc that you have already burned, or even attempted to burn?
