  • Cannot get Magic Mouse to work in Windows 7 64-bit using Boot Camp

I recently purchased a Magic Mouse and installed it on the Mac OS X partition of my MacBook Pro. After successfully installing on the Mac side, I switched to Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit using Boot Camp to install on the Windows partition. When I try to "Discover" a new Bluetooth device, the Magic Mouse does not show up in the list of devices (the mouse is powered on and next to the computer).
I am using the most recent version of Boot Camp (3.0.2) and have updated Windows 7. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, is there a fix for it?
    I appreciate any help!

  • Getting wireless mouse to work on L300-13R

I recently purchased a wireless mouse and keyboard set for my L300-13R but unfortunately the mouse did not move the pointer on the screen.
I then bought another set by a different manufacturer and unfortunately encountered the same problem.
The keyboard in both sets connects and works fine and the mouse connects and transmits to the receiver, (I know this as every time you move the mouse or click the mouse the light on the receiver flashes) but the mouse does not move the pointer.
I have tried all the different USB ports, have ensured the batteries are OK and have tried disabling the onboard touchpad but still no joy.
Sometimes when I connect the receiver it has everything is installed and working correctly (but it's not) and sometimes it says that it could not install due to some incorrect programming or something.
I'm at my wits end, really could do with a wireless mouse so any advice would be appreciated.

You'll probably have better luck in the European Support Forums where they actually sell and support that model.  This is the USA Forum and we don't have that model here.
You should also consult the manufacturer of the mouse you purchased as they probably have some useful information about it and please do the Euro Forum Users a favor by telling them exactly what mouse you are trying to use.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

  • Apple wireless mouse not working in Windows 7

I have Windows 7 loaded in Boot Camp and, for the most part, it works perfectly.
However, neither my Magic Mouse nor my Super Drive work ... at least, not immediately.  My wireless Apple keyboard works perfectly and instantly, but my mouse only works after around a half hour after Windows opens and I haven't gotten the drive to work yet.
    Any suggestions?
    I'm flying a new iMac, 2.7 GHz Core i5, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, running Mountain Lion.

I had the exact same problem as you did (less the drive) Kybd ok mouse didn't work, after installing Updates for Win 7 (about 100+ lol) then my BT kybd stopped working
In the Bootcamp Discussions there is a post about that. The post I didn't bookmark (i will from now on) but I followed this instruction posted (I copied & pasted to Notes)
"Control Panel > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter (right click and choose "Properties". Under the "Advanced" tab, highlight the setting named "Bluetooth Collaboration", then change it to Enable. Then click OK."
After that wasn't working yet so, I went to start menu selected Devices & Printers...(if I recall), in the window selected "Magic Mouse icon (it was always showing but not working)  right click & selected "Properties"  for Magic Mouse, don't remember which tab it was but a driver was listed I checked it and clicked ok after a couple of minutes both the BT mouse and kybd worked and hasn't stopped since.
Sorry for lack of precise instruction, not exactly a techie, but can handle myself somewhat in front of a screen & kybd.
Hope this helps, it did for me, good luck

  • Help!  I cannot get the mouse to work on a pop up on my desk top offering access to imessaging.   Very annoying block to the screen saver.   How do I get rid of it?

My desktop has a sign offering access to messaging but the mouse does not work on any option.  I cannot log in or give password.   I just want to get rid of it from the desktop.   It is ruining my screensaver.  Please help.

Sync media using iTunes, not Bluetooth.
When the screen freezes on the iPhone, try "resetting".
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
And this link is for the iPhone 3GS user guide >  http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPhone_iOS3.1_User_Guide.pdf

Serously doubt this is a "new" iPhone 3GS. More likely refurbished.

  • Cannot get Remote Desktop to work on Windows 7

Ok. I am having issues trying to connect remotely using RDP. From what I know, the network was pre-configured from another IT group and was able to get it up and running. My company was commissioned to migrate his old PC (WINXP) to Windows 7. I have gone
through the steps of allowing remote desktop and following instructions:
To configure remote access, follow these steps:
    1. In Control Panel, click System And Security, and then click System.
    2. On the System page, click Remote Settings in the left pane. This opens the System Properties dialog box to the Remote tab.
    3. To disable Remote Desktop, select Don’t Allow Connections To This Com¬puter, and then click OK.Skip the remaining steps.
    4. To enable Remote Desktop, you have two options. You can:
Select Allow Connections From Computers Running Any Version Of Remote Desktop to allow connections from any version of Windows.
Select Allow Connections Only From Computers Running Remote Desktop With Network Level Authentication to allow connections only from Windows 7 or later computers (and computers with secure network authentication).
    5. Click Select Users. This displays the Remote Desktop Users dialog box.
    6. To grant Remote Desktop access to a user, click Add. This opens the Select Users dialog box. In the Select Users dialog box, click Locations to select the computer or domain in which the users you want to work with are located. Type the
name of a user you want to work with in the Enter The Object Names To Select field, and then click Check Names. If matches are found, select the account you want to use and then click OK. If no matches are found, update the name you entered and try searching
again. Repeat this step as necessary, and then click OK.
    7. To revoke remote access permissions for a user account, select the account and then click Remove.
    8. Click OK twice when you have finished.
One thing that I found odd when he launched Remote Desktop from his home laptop is the IP entry:
    Computer> [Public Router IP]:49250
    Login> Domain\Admin
    Password> *****
From the odd port number I would assume that was for port forwarding so I logged into his router and found exactly that. In port forwarding, he had the in/out as 49250 TCP to 192.168.30. I went into the firewall and enabled Remote Desktop in the inbound
    rules.
As of right now, I can use Remote Desktop to remote into the server, and withing their server, I cam use Remote Desktop to remote into the workstation. I just can't remote into the workstation directly using the port 49250. Any suggestions on this, something
    I have missing?
He has Norton Security installed on this computer and I tried adding Inbound/Outbound rules to its 'Smart Firewall' to allow remote desktop and the port.

    Thanks for the reply.
When I use Remote Desktop and use the Public IP of the router without the port number (49250), I am able to get into the server. However, when I try to use RDP with the [Public IP]:49250, it will not connect to the 192.168.0.30 workstation.
Right now the router is program to forward port 49250 requests to the 0.30 workstation.
I am going to work on the Inbound/Outbound Firewall settings today and see if this will resolve the issue.

  • Can't get wireless keyboard to work in Windows 7 under boot camp

I have removed the keyboard in OS X, and when I try to get it to pair it will show up and ask me to enter a string of numbers and hit enter, and when I do, it says it is working, but the keyboard itself stays in discovery mode (blinking light) and doesn't work.
I have followed every guide I can find with no success. Is there anything I have to do after it is 'paired' to be able to actually get the keyboard to realize that it is paired and not automatically go into discovery mode?

This problem is not a problem with Windows or Apple. It has to do with when the updates are applied to Windows boot camp. The way to fix this is as follows. First click on the bluetooth icon from the Windows start page. Then click show bluetooth items. From this window click add a new device. When the device appears double click on the icon for the device. A window should appear that at the top says general and other. Click on the other tab and another window comes up with a small box in it. Check the box and Windows will search and install the exact, correct drivers for the device. Now the device will pair and work fine.

  • Cannot get PB12.5 to work on Windows 7

    Hi Folks:
We are trying to migrate a 12.5 PB app from Win XP to Win 7. So far without success.
The app resides on a UNIX server.
The app works fine with XP and will work on Win7 if the user is an adminstrator.
Setting up user machines with admin rights is unacceptable.
We have tried to compile with "Embedded Manifest" As Invoker -- Without Success.
We have looked for any places that wrote to the registry -- It only writes to CURRENT_USER which we believe should be OK wiith Win7
The app does not appear to write to the "Program Files" directory.
We changed the Win 7 machine to allow "Create Global Objects" which works but so far is not something that management here wants to do -- either by individual machine or identifying a group.
The app runs against an Oracle 11g database and it stops when it tries to validate a user id because it appears that the transaction object(SQLCA) is not there.
    Thanks for your help
    Tom

    Tom,
I'm guessing you looked at the following with regards to allowing "Create Global Objects" which works for you.
    http://daverobertson63.wordpress.com/2007/10/18/sqlplus-windows-administator-only/
That may be your only way around this since the above posting mentions it's a windows security issue.

    Hey Manuel,
I myself had the same issue, no sound and nothing indicating a problem. Insert your apple disc and click repair, reinstalls all the drivers, this fixed it for me, although I had several other drivers fail some weeks later, so started from scratch and been good for a month or so

What do you mean it did not work!  What were the results of the diagnostic tests?
Have you contacted your ISP to determine if the problem is on their end?
Have you changed your router channel?  Sometimes this resolves wireless problems.

  • Cannot get Wireless to work

I have a brand new W520 for my company and we cannot get wireless to work. Here is what I tried.
Clean install of Windows 7 Professional
Installed the ThinkVantage tools, including Access Connections.
Installed the drivers from the Lenvo Support site. Had to install manually as Lenovo System Update would not return anything for me to install, even when I had a ton of missing drivers.
Installed the ThinkPad Wireless LAN drivers for the wireless card in my system. I have the ThinkPad b/g/n card.
No wireless adapter is found for the wireless, just the Intel 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection which works fine for the wired connection.
The wireless radio is on. I flipped the switch mutliple times. The screen seems to flicker when I flip it but nothing happens.
ThinkVantage Access Connections says "No supported wireless adapters are installed on the system" when I click "Manage Wireless Radio".
I verified the card is seated properly and the connections are all tight.
I ran a PC Doctor scan (from boot disk) against the wireless card and it Passed.
In Device Manager I have two items remaining that show issues.
    Base System Device
    Network Controller
I can't seem to resolve those two items in device manager with any of the drivers I've found on the Lenovo support site.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi egregorich,
Check in the BIOS whether it's enabled, F1 to enter the BIOS, it should be under Config -> Networks.
Also, can you let us know what does the sticker on the card say? Does it say Intel Wimax 5150 or 5350?
Try the following driver, the one on this support page is incorrectly linked as ThinkPad driver when it's not (or unless the ThinkPad card in your system is from Intel which I highly doubt):- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-76909
    Keep us posted.
