I cannot log into icloud with Windows 7 64 bit system.

It was working for about two months without a problem and then it ceased working about 2 months ago.  I just get an ongoing circle as if it is trying to log me in, but no luck.  I can log in on icloud website however.

Curt, since I purchased a new laptop, I had to deactivate CS4 on my old laptop, uninstall, and install CS4 on my new laptop with my disks and activate. That all went fine, but I can not update the software. CS4 needs to be updated when installed from the original disk, as there are important bugs and resolved issues with the software that are available with the updates that are released after the original disk.
By "not work", I mean that I am not able to update the software at all so that I may work in the latest version of the CS4 software without issues.
JJMack, thank you for your suggestion, however, I am not able to manually install the updates either. All updates fail.
Overfocused, thank you for your suggestion, I will be looking into that, as well as a bunch of other Windows 7 possibles. It may be what you suggested, or it may be a Windows 7 related utility issue or another program with a conflict with Adobe updates in Windows 7 etc.
I remember a couple of years ago when I got the Vista OS laptop, I spent a couple of weeks to research a major bug that eventually was resolved, it was an Office/Adobe incompatibility issue with infopath running Vista.
I hope that I am able to solve the issue soon, it has been a week so far with no resolve. If or when I find a fix to this issue, I will post it here.
Thank you all for your help and suggestions, I really appreciate it.
All the best,
Aaron

  • Travelling in Mauritania, cannot log into icloud with my PC netbook. I can read my mail on my iphone, but I get a message that "icould is not available" when I try to open it on the PC. It's very annoying as it's not so easy to type on iphone!

Very strange. I have a PC netbook that I use when I travel, and here in Mauritania, when I try to log on icloud to check my mail, it tells me that it is not available or the server is down - the internet is working for everything else. I can read my mail on my iphone, connected to the same network. Is there some reason ou can't open icloud on an iphone and a pc at the same time?

Been looking for similar posts, surprised I haven't found more, because I'm fairly certain that there is a current problem with some parts of Apple's server network: I have 3 iCloud accounts in Mail on my Macbook, and 1 of them (annoyingly, my main one) has not been able to connect for an hour or two. And both of the others wouldn't connect for a few minutes, but are now working again.
More suprising is that trying to log in to webmail (www.icloud.com) is giving a very unhelpful error message, suggesting the server is down. Everything else Internet is working fine for me, and haven't changed any settings, so fairly sure problem is Apple's end.
It's possible that your iPhone is collecting your mail via a different server route that is still working; my three iCloud accounts are collecting via p02.imap.mail.me.com, p09.imap.mail.me.com and p99.imap.mail.me.com, and it's only p02 that's consistantly not working.

  • HT5616 i cannot log into icloud

cannot log into icloud with my apple id on my macbook. says wrong id

MobileMe was closed over a year ago and was replaced by iCloud.  Even though you still have that setting it will no longer function.
You will need to upgrade to OS X Lion higher in order to set up iCloud on your Mac.  First check to see if your system meets the system requirements to upgrade.
    Lion system requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Mountain Lion and Mavericks requirements are the same, as listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5842.
If you can run Mavericks, you can download a free upgrade from the Mac App Store.  If your system can only run Lion, you can go here to purchase a redemption code to download it from the Mac App Store.  If you prefer Mountain Lion for software compatibility reasons, you can go here to purchase a redemption code to download it from the Mac App Store.
After upgrading, you will find iCloud in System Preferences>iCloud on your Mac, and can set it up as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html.
Before upgrading, you may want to check the compatibility of your existing applications by checking here: http://roaringapps.com/apps:table.   Also be aware that older PPC programs such as AppleWorks and Office 2004 for Mac will not run on OS X Lion or higher.

  • HT204053 Can I log into iCloud with an alias email?

Noob here, did a search and couldn't seem to find an answer. (or I didnt look hard enough. ) So aplogies if these have already been asked before.
I want to change my iCloud email address, but I've searched around here and read that you can't change it once you create it and link it to your apple ID. So, I created an alias and was wondering if you could log into iCloud with an alias email?
For example if my iCloud address is [email protected] and my alias was [email protected], could I go to icloud.com and login using [email protected]?
Also, what are the proper steps to get the alias email to behave like the icloud primary email;I stupidly chose a dumb icloud email address and regret it, and if I set the alias to be the only email to be able to send mail in my iphone and macbook, can I basically ignore the primary icloud email and use the alias the whole time to send and compose mail?
Also, I don't necessarily need to know/use the primary icloud email, since I use my apple ID to log into icloud.com?
From what I understand, the primary icloud that is linked to your apple ID is mail server, right? I'm not really sure, to be honest.
    Thanks!

In the Mail application on your Mac, add the aliases, separated by commas, to the 'Email address' field in Preferences>Accounts>General. They will then appear in the drop-down menu for the 'From' address in the New message pane.
They already appear in the equivalent place in the new message pane at icloud.com.

  • HT204053 I cannot log into iCloud using my Apple username and password.  I keep getting an error message that states "CANNOT SIGN UP - The Apple ID is valid but is not an iCloud account."  How do I fix this?

I cannot log into iCloud using my Apple username and password.  I keep getting an error message that states "CANNOT SIGN UP - The Apple ID is valid but is not an iCloud account."  How do I fix this?

You are getting this message because you are attempting to create an iCloud account on a PC.  You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.2) or higher.  After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account on your PC.

  • Cannot log into Icloud

I cannot log into my icloud account on my computer. When I try to log in it says that my apple sign in is valid but not an Icloud account. when i got to reset it it resets my apple id.  Can someone please help me with this???
    thanks.

    Hello there, Dbrpth.
To use iCloud, you must first sign up via your Apple ID on an iOS device running iOS 5 or later.  This can also be done on a PC running Microsoft Windows 7 or later:
Creating an iCloud account: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I set up iCloud on my iOS devices, Mac, and PC?
To set up iCloud, first check that your devices and computers meet the iCloud system requirements. Then follow the instructions to set up iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and PC.
Once you have created an iCloud account via one of this listed ways above, you should be able to use it on your PC.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • My iPad was logging me out so I have reset it - I cannot log into iCloud now and also my login for app updates defaults to an incorrect email address can anyone suggest how to re configure

My iPad was logging me out so I have reset it - it retained all apps but I cannot now log into iCloud and when downloading apps it defaults to the wrong email details so the iPad doesn't recognise it to update - can anyone suggest how to resolve this

Have you attempted to access your Apple ID through iforgot.apple.com ?
If you have access to the internet, you should be able to go through the process of resetting your Apple ID password via security questions or email.
Assuming that you use the same Apple ID for iCloud and the iTunes/App Stores, resetting your password may help you log back into iCloud and the iTunes/App Stores.

  • Cannot log into iCloud via system preferences on MAC

I am trying to enter my icloud password on my mac and it seems to just be thinking.  If i enter the incorrect one it tells me that I've entered the wrong one.  Not sure what is going on.  I even went as far as changing my password, I then updated it on my iphone, it was accepted, I went to icloud on the web and was able to log in but once again when I try on the mac it just contines to think.  Suggestions??
    Thank you in advance!

You might try the following, you may be able to skip the first few steps depending where you are up to with your troubleshooting.
    1. Sign out of your account
(If you are unable to do this because System Preferences has frozen, Force Quit System Preferences and try again)
    2. When prompted, opt to delete, contacts, calendars etc from your Mac.
(You are only deleting this data from your Mac, not from iCloud, the data will be reinstated when you log back in. If you need to check that the data is in iCloud before deleting it go to iCloud.com and check each section for data)
    3. Having logged out, check that the iCloud accounts along with their data have disappeared from the Mail, Address Book and iCal Applications.
(If necessary, delete the iCloud accounts from each of these application separately from each Applications Preferences)
    4. At this point it may be worth trying to log into iCloud from the System Preferences iCloud settings again, if this works, all well and good, if it doesn't continue to step 5.
    5. Open your User Library folder in the Finder. (When in the Finder, go to the Go menu, hold down the option key (alt) and choose Library when it appears in the Go menu)
    6. Navigate to Library > Application Support > iCloud and drag the iCloud folder to your desktop. (This action only copies the folder and will provide you with a back up)
    7. Select the iCloud folder again in Library > Application Support and drag it to the trash, enter your administrators password when prompted.
    8. Restart your computer.
    9. You should now be able to enter your ID and Password in system Preferences > iCloud and log into your account. Check the services you wish to use and once you are satisfied it's working as it should, trash the iCloud folder you copied to your desktop earlier.

  • I cannot log into messages with my aol/aim account

    Hi,
When I try to log into messages with my aol/aim account, it keeps on saying that the username and/or password is incorrect. Neither are incorrect as I can log into the account on the aim web settings page and on the aol page.
    Any help?
    Thanks

If you change your passord on AOL, for security they block your new password on your iPad but not on your PC. I downloaded the AOL application on my iPad and then used that to change my password on AOL and then my Mail on my iPad fully works. I then used my AOL new password on my PC and now everything works.

  • Cannot log into iCloud after upgrading to Yosemite

I have 3 iCloud accounts on my mac for various family members but after the upgrade I cannot get the iCloud account to log in. It just keeps asking for the password.
    Any ideas?
    Dhiran

You must be logged in using the Apple ID used to purchase iPhoto or to set up your Mac - If you are logged in with the Apple ID that was used to purchase iPhoto or to set up the computer if it came preinstalled then quit iPhoto, backup your iPhoto library  and drag the iphoto application to the trash (do not empty the trash yet) and then go to the App store and install iPhoto
If this does not allow you to upgrade then you need to contact App store support  - link i son the right of the app store window

  • I cannot log into icloud after password reset on all devices

I recently reset my password for my apple id/icloud.
Now I cannot seem to log into any of my devices. iphone 6, ipad mini retina, and macbook pro retina.
on some devices I have been able to log out of the account but I can't seem to log back in. The ipad mini retina is having problems logging out of icloud.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

I am stuck in a loop on my ipad - I have followed the instructions in your article above - I keep trying to delete icloud but cannot because it still wants me to login with my old id/email which is then rejected because it no longer exists.  STUCK.  What am I to do?  Now none of my Apple devices will sync and this is extremely irritating - to say the least.
I assume that I wont be able to access the backup on my computer either because of this - otherwise I would delete my ipad completely and start again - and I really cannot see why, in this age of hackers etc you wonderful APPLE people have not sorted this problem out.
I had to change my email addresses because someone with too much time on their hands hacked me.  Now I appear to be stuck.
    Please help.

  • Can not log into Infoview with Windows AD credentials

    Hi,
I am using CRS 2008 V1 SP3. I migrated all my AD users from XIR2 to 2008 version recently. I also mapped the AD users correctly and most of my windows AD users are able to log into infoview except some users. I checked those users exist in CMC user list. They also have no problem logging in with their Enterprise password. I even deleted the AD member groups and added again in Windows AD auth in CMC. Also restarted the CMS and the machine itself but NO LUCK. I dont understand why there's problem with only those few users. One of the user recently changed her password..so my another assumption is may be her token is lost...but it should fix when i restarted the machine. Please help!!!

ok that means the primary issue is with the servercie account ort AD. To eliminate the service account in the CMC > auth > windows AD > change the setting from kerberos to NTLM and test client tools again. Fail mean the problem is with the user or AD, success means the problem is with the service account or kerberos.

  • Can Log Into ICloud with Apple ID - but wrong Apple ID is shown in Account Settings

So no problem logging into my wife's ICloud account with her regular AppleID and password. Once within her ICloud account, when you click on her name ("profile icon") in upper right corner - her Apple ID in the bottom field is not her Apple ID. My assumption is that it should be her normal Apple ID, (which is an AOL email address), correct? How can we fix this?
The Apple ID that currently shows is actually a "mistake" that has no password associated with it. It was created when I made an [email protected] email address for our daughter, so she could have her own Apple ID for FaceTime on her iPod. When creating that [email protected] address on her iPod, it told me that the name was already taken, and offered me an alternative, which I agreed to. So now there must be the original owner of this [email protected] address that is now associated within my wife's ICloud Account.
How do I fix this error?
<<<<<Additional information - I created a Family Calendar and shared it with her AppleID and it did sync up with both of our new iPhone 5s, but now if I enter an event on my phone, it won't go to her phone. However, if she makes an event on her phone, it does pop up on my phone. Also, If I make an event within my ICloud Calendar, it goes on both of our phones.>>>>>
Please Help with a solution - ICloud is a great concept...

Also, we are unable to Share any of her calendars, Error reads that "there is a server error, try again"
I assume it is all related...
