I cannot Upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7 using Windows Anytime Upgrade

A little while ago I bought an activation and serial key so I could upgrade my Windows Vista to Windows 7
My PC is FULLY compatible and I checked 3 times with Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor ,
I launched Windows Anytime Upgrade and there was no option to upgrade only to go to the website and comapre different versions of Vista
I was a bit fustrated and I have been looking for an answer all afternoon
If someone could help me that would be amazing

What is needed to upgade to Windows 7 is an install disk. You can borrow one or download the one needed, depending on the key purchased. Windows Anytime Upgrade will only upgrade in the product line that is installed. Which version of Windows 7 did you purchase? And do you need/what 32bit or 64bit?

Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

i bought since few years the notebook L500D-11P. The OS Windows Vista 32 bit was preinstalled. So i found out that i can upgrade my OS to Windows 7 32 bit. But i need a Windows 7 Upgrade Disc. I didnt find it on my Notebook package. Where can i get it?

If you need some assistance with Win7, drivers or Toshiba specific stuff installation you are welcome.
Just for your info: install order is very important so let us know when you want to install Win7. We can help you with right installation order.
Before you install Win7 create recovery DVD. After Win7 installation you will lose HDD recovery image and possibility to install Vista using HDD recovery installation.
How to do this is described in Users manuals document.

I just purchased Windows 7 OS and replaced Windows Vista on my desktop PC.
When I open a new firefox browser, none of my bookmarks from the older browser running under Vista is showing anymore.
Can I still transfer all my old bookmarks fromVista onto a new browswer using Windows 7 then?

Just a note about the difference between these two things:
* "export" and "import" use an ancient HTML document format that all browsers can understand. When you import bookmarks, Firefox may place them into an Imported Bookmarks folder, or into Unsorted Bookmarks. This does not displace existing bookmarks, and Firefox does not automatically remove duplicates.
* "backup" and "restore" use a more comprehensive JSON data file, which contains extra information about your bookmarks (such as tags) not contained in the traditional export file. HOWEVER, a restore completely replaces all existing bookmarks, so the restore feature cannot be used to merge in a set of additional bookmarks.

Some HP product software created for the Windows Vista operating system can be run on a Windows 7 PC in compatibility mode to enable product software functionality. There is a support document with instructions on how to do this for the HP Color LaserJet CM1015 and CM1017 Multifunction Products (M.... This is considered the best driver option in Windows 7 for these product series.

I am an HP employee!

Try downloading the drivers from hp.com instead of using the disk. Also before you do another install, make sure you have uninstalled all previous attempts, deleted all drivers from your download folder and recycle bin, and rebooted your computer.
Once you have downloaded the drivers from hp.com, make sure you follow the steps in the document. There is a twain/scan driver that has to be marked.

Our client has decided to upgrade their user's OS from Windows XP to Windows 7. Also the IE will be upgraded to IE8.
We did an impact analysis with a single system for the BW front end. Except a few minor errors, nothing serious troubled the SAP in Windows 7 OS.
SAP has confirmed that for the official support for Windows 7 and IE 8 will require minimum SPS of 21. Thus we are planning for SPS upgrade from 18 to 21.
I am still waiting for the Side Effect Report, I would like to check with you if anyone has encountered any error after Windows 7 upgrade?
Will BEx work even if the OS is Windows 7 and Office is low version such as 2000, 2003.
Any impact on portal 700?
Appreciate any kinds of input from you All

Hello all. First, I'm glad to have the opportunity to be a part of this group. I didn't know it even existed, but here I am...so, let me know what you think.
I am a new Windows Vista Ultimate OS owner, and thus far, I'm absolutely thrilled with the advances in video render and compression speeds. However, one of the auto-update features tried to update my Extigy driver, the one that apparently loaded with the original install of Windows Vista, and the update didn't work...go figure. So, now there is no way to use the system restore as it doesn't recognize that there was a change, and I can't get the Extigy to make a peep.
How do I go bakc to the Windows Vista generic driver so I can listem to my voice overs agan?Thanks so much folks... Michael

Go to the device manager, and select the extigy, then properties, then in the driver tab, the 3rd button down

About a year ago I discontinued using Thunderbird because suddenly I could not print anything inThunderbird anymore. Now I use Windows Live Mail and printing emails is not a problem. Recently I installed Thunderbird again but still I cannot print emails using Thunderbird.

Being a layman, I am reluctant to follow your advice without assistance of a specialist.
To prevent a misunderstanding I will try to summarize what happened.
1) After using Thunderbird for a long time and having no problem at all to print emails, suddenly I could not print emails anymore.
2) I do not have the same problem with Firefox nor with any other program.
3) I have only one printer.
4) After the problem occurred System recovery was used- for another reason - to start with a clean slate. Thunderbird was reinstalled: but still I could not print emails. When I use windows live mail I can print emails.
Does this change your advice?
