I cant figure out why my HTC Droid DNA is no longer recognized by my computer when i hook it up with the USB cable that came with the phone.

I used to be able to just plug in my phone with the USB cable to my Windows 7 computer and browse phone storage with no issues. Now my computer sees it as an android phone but when it tries to automatically install the drivers for my phone on the computer, i get an access denied error message. No option on the phone that i can see that allows me to mount phone as a usb drive. This used to work just fine with nothing more than just hooking up the cable. What gives??

Let's get that access granted again, e_rock_b. The HTC DNA doesn't have a special USB Mass Storage Mode that needs to be turned on. Usually, it's as simple as connecting and browsing http://vz.to/1jktbZD as you mentioned. If your computer is no longer allowing that easy access, try the steps at http://vz.to/1jktvr6.

Why does only the USB cable that came with my phon...

I recently acquired a Nokia Lumia Icon from Verizon. I have a Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 computer running Windows 8.1 with the Windows Phone App for Desktop (WPA4D) installed. I had a very difficult time getting my Icon to be seen by my computer when connecting it with one of the half dozen micro USB cables I have laying around. WPA4D would not recognize it. Then, I connected it using the USB cable that came with the phone, and WPA4D immediately recognized it. Then I unplugged it and went back to a different cable - it was again not recognized.
What is different about the USB cable that ships with the Nokia Lumia Icon? If I want to order more, like from Monoprice, what do I order to get the same thing? Why is Nokia (apparently) using some sort of proprietary cable??

It is not proprietary.The charging/data cable for my GPS works.
A lot of the cables are just for charging and that is all they are wired for and they don't even have the data pin. Full size USB cables are the same way.
If I needed an extra I would get it from Nokia.

- Try restoring the iPod, first from backup and then try to factory settings/new iPod to rule out a software problem.
- Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and broken or cracked plastic.
- Could you have damaged something when you took the iPod apart and replaced the Home button?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

If you updated iPhone to iOS7, it now checks for real Apple Lightning Cable. Your cable may not be Apple, or someone swapped another cable with yours. Make sure the cable end is clean, take a clean dry toothbrush and carefully clean charging port on the iPhone.

So I bought a Used copy of final cut pro 7, but i cant use it because I need a serial number and the serial number that came with it doesn't work. What do I do?

I bought my copy from ebay and when i got it I installed it, but every time i click on final cut pro 7 it asks for a serial number and when i put the on that came with it, it tells me it an invalid serail number. It is kinda making me want ti throw my mac out the window and just stick with windows.

First, find out if you bought an "Upgrade" version, or a "Full" version.
If you have an "Upgrade" version, it will require two serial numbers to work - first, the serial number of the last "Full" version you are upgrading from, then the serial number of the "Upgrade" software you are installing.

I am not able to update iTunes keeps popping up message saying no free disk space I checked and there is enough to support the upgrade but I cant figure out why it wont let me. Help anyone!

So heres the deal, I updated my iphone and in order to put any music on it or even ringtones I have to have the most updated version of iTunes, unfortunately my macbook wont allow the update, I do have a lot of pictures and song stored on here but I have no documents I have deleted everything the only thing left on here is what the macbook came with. I checked and it says that I have enough memory so is there another reason I cant update. When I try and check for the update option in iTunes it says its up to date but I have version 10 something so I know its old, I haven't been able to update anything on here. Do I have to take it to the store or is there something that I can fix on my own because my warranty is up and I have nothing but problems when I go into an actual apple store.

My macbook will not read mini to via but it will read mini to hdmi. I also have an identical macbook that will read both hdmi and vga. Cant figure out why the other one won't read both

I have two indentical macbooks(unibody) but for some reason only one will read the mini to vga. the screen turns blue but nothing shows up. When i plug the other macbook up everything works fine. I work at a club and i need the vga to work at one club and the hdmi to work at the other. Cant figure out why my phone is asking for my billing information for a free application.

When i try to download an application, my iPhone keeps telling me to sign in to view billing information and it brings up my debit card information. Then it doesnt let me do anything, even when the applications are free. Why is it doing this?

Apple verifies your billing information with each download regardless of free or paid.
From the iTunes menu bar (on your computer) click Store / View My Account / Edit Payment Information.
Make sure your debit card number is correct as well as the security code and expiration date then click Done.

Ok....my sound worked on my computer before i installed windows xp.....my computer is a gateway pentium 3 600mhz with 28 mg ram.....it use to have windows 98 2nd edition...then formated the harddri've and installed xp pro...and since then i havent had sound....i was told by someone that i should upgrade the soundcard so i bought the soundblaster li've 24 bit and installed it and the software.....and i ran diagnostics and it says everything is fine...but still have no sound im not getting any help though the troubleshooting..... Ensure that 'Digital Output Only' option has not been enabled in Creative Speaker Setting if you are using analog speaker.
You can test your audio card with a pair of headphones. Unplug your speakers from the sound card, and plug a pair of headphones to the Line-Out jack, and test audio output from your sound card. To complete the test, be sure test each individual Line-Out jacks. Use the application Creative Speaker Setting 'Channel' option to do the test.
