I cant find my mountain lion in my purchased items in app store.i have to re install it due my mac crashed .Thanks

i cant find my mouintain lion in my purchases in app store...how do i retrieve it? thanks

Did this machine come with Mountain Lion installed out of the box? If so, that copy of Mountain Lion is not associated with the App Store. It will never show up there. To reinstall, as mende1 indicates, just boot into recovery mode by holding command-R at startup. Note that, if your hard drive fails or the system is otherwise unable to boot from the hidden recovery partition on the internal drive, your machine will fall back to internet recovery, and will boot from Apple's servers once connected to a network.
If you actually purchased Mountain Lion in the App Store and you're not seeing it listed in Purchases now, one possibility is that it's hidden, as mende1 indicated. Another possibility is that you are logged in to the App Store with a different Apple ID. Purchases through the App Store are linked to the Apple ID, and you must be logged in with the Apple ID that purchased them in order to re-download or update them.

  • After upgrading to Mountain Lion, i can't connect to app store or safari

After Upgrading to Mountain Lion, I can't access the app store, itunes store, Safari - anything that requires the internet.  I tried resetting my modem and rebooting.
I also tried deleting items from the keychain that look like they are related to the above.  When I did that and rebooted, It works for a little while, and then gets back to where it won't login to anything on the internet and safari won't load anything.

This means that at some time you had the iWork ’09 trial installed. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user. Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

To recover Mountain Lion to your purchases, open App Store > Featured > Account (under Quick Links) > Show hidden purchases, and show OS X Mountain Lion. Finally, it will appear on Purchases tab

  • HT2404 Mountain Lion will not download through the apps store.  It shows up in Launchpad, but when the screensaver goes on and I enter my password and my desktop shows up, it has disappeared from launchpad.  I have set my energy saver controls appropriate

Mountain lion will not download thru the apps store.  It has been purchased and redeemed.  I have set my energy settings appropriately so computer will not turn off during download as Verizon offers a connection that is very slow.  I have set the display to go to sleep (which I have set so I have to sign in again).  When I sign in again, Mountain Lion OSX has disappeared from the launchpad.  I have tried this several times.  I do have Norton Internet Security on my Mac Air.  I turned off the idle time scan on the Norton and tried again.  Same results.  Anyone?

Ask anyone around here, and they will tell you quite differently. AV software will slow down your computer, can be incompatible with software you use, can cause kernel panics and other problems. It is unnecessay since OS X has it's own protection built-in. AV software can no more tell the difference between safe and unsafe sites on your browser than could an elephant.

  • Mountain lion will not download from the app store. what do I do?

Please help. Purchaced mountain lion upgrade. shows up app store under purchased.  click on download. Nothing happens....My iMac meets all system requirements. Stuck in appland.  Also, I have heard bad things about mountain lion. should I even install? Or can I bypass and go to OS X Mavericks? Confused & afraid now...

If you meet these requirements you can upgrade directly to Mavericks: OS X Mavericks: System Requirements. However, before upgrading I would check the compatability of your 3rd party application at RoaringApps - Application compatibility and feature support for OS X and iOS.
If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:
1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:
    open the Terminal application.
copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
    followed by Enter.
    launch App Store, login.
2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:
    3 - try again.

  • I can't download Mountain Lion. Get unknown error from app store.

Has anyone else had this problem?  I'm using OS Lion now. Have updated all my apps. Looks like everything is cleared to go.
When I click "download" from the app store, I get an error. Says unknown error. Try again later.

Press Shift key while your Mac is starting and download OS X

  • I can't download OS X Lion from the purchases tab in app store

I bought a "new" used imac running Snow Leopard. I want to upgrade to OS X Lion that I have purchased in app store. I can see it in the list, but when I click on download, it keeps telling me to sign into the account you used to purchase it.......ummm I am...that's why I can see that I purchased it

    Hi,
No, it is picking up my Apple id. I have re-entered it several times. It shows all the apps that I have purchased. It was a clean install, and I used Migration Assistant to move things over from my MacBook Pro. If I click on download on my Macbook Pro in the app store, it wants to re-download the app, which is strange in itself. I don't have any system discs with it. Although I do have a original disc of Snow Leopard. Just seems odd to me that I can't download Lion, but I can buy ML.
Somewhere on a thread, I found where it says you can hold down the option key while clicking on purchases and that will be a work around....not for me.
And of course you can no longer purchase Lion, (even though I already did). It does give me the option to purchase Mountain Lion though.

  • I accidentally removed Lion from my purchased list in App Store. How to get it back?

    Without paying another $29.99 tho.

Go to the App Store > Store > View my Account > click View Hidden Purchases.

  • Can't find the purchased item in app store "purchases" category

I had redeemed FCP X from app store, and I want to install FCP X in another iMac. Both of the iMacs are login with the same app account.
When I went to purchases category in app store, I found the FCP X inside and click ' install'.
unfortunately, the internet was dis-connected. So I re-connect it and cick "Resume" botton, but no response. When I re-open app store
I found the fcp x was disappeared.
Anybody could give me a advice ?
    Thanks

Well this isn't making sense at this point. If Final Cut Pro vanished, and you had redeemed it, it still has to be tied to that Apple ID. Only logical sense is it was hidden. If you are saying nothing shows up as hidden, then let's check with iTS to confirm the account it's on and that it really is there.

want to use icloud on my macbook and cant because I am using OSX10.6.8 - I want to upgrade this but I cant upgrade to mountain lion as my mac does not support this - cannot find a way to go to Version 10.7.4 which i understand supports icloud - help to do this please

If you purchased Lion for your iMac, just log into the Mac App Store from your MacBook using the Apple ID under which you purchased Lion and go to the Purchases page. You will be able to download and install Lion there.
searching the internet i found a link to upgrtade to 10.7
The only place you get get Lion is from the Mac App Store. If you found some other site, that was an illegal copy and almost certainly tied to someone else's Apple ID and hence unusable by you. If the link was just to the Mac App Store, see above.
As to the problem with synchronization to iCloud, that's not a 10.6 question, so I'd suggest you take up that specific issue in either the Lion or iCloud forums, providing full details, and someone there can probably help you sort things out.
    Regards.

Not sure what exactly you did (or not), but it looks as if you should attempt doing it all again, only this time all right and by the book. Many millions have done so, and sure it'll work for you as well.
If you've indeed purchased ML already, you'll find it exactly there in the App Store: under Purchases.
