I changed my 4 digit password to lock the screen and forgot what I changed it to. Now phone is disabled and says connect to itunes. Has this ever happened to anybody? How can I fix this? I share my phone bill with my mom and my itunes account with my husband? I have all the apple ID's if needed

If you're talking about your lock screen passcode, you can't "change it on the computer". You have to restore the phone.

im new to Mac. been a PC user for over 10 yrs. I'm just wondering if OSx has a similar shortcut to lock the screen just like what you can do with "windows key+L" in XP.

It puts your display and computer asleep. You can set it so that it requires you to insert your password to awake the computer from sleep mode or even your screen saver for that matter.
Open System Preferences then go to Security section. Then find the check box that says "Require Password to wake this computer from Sleep". Check it.
There's also an application that locks it and sets an alarm off when it is touched, tracked pad moved, keyboard or taking out your power adapter. It's called iAlertU. iAlerU - Version Tracker. You use your remote.
Open it in your applications folder. It's then added to your menu bar. Hold down the Menu button for 2 seconds on your apple remote until you hear a car lock sound. Do the same to unlock it.

There's a little switch above the volume buttons on the right side. Flip it and try turning the screen.

Not sure since we're not sure the processes you took to sync it. When its plugged into your computer and you are viewing it in iTunes you can go into the "Applications" tab and select which apps you want and don't want. On the main info page there is a checkbox that says sync apps automatically".

If disabled because of a passcode, and you have not synced AFTER setting the passcode, you will have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it as a new device. All data on your phone will be erased:
Turn your phone off. Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. In your case, setup as "new" will be your ONLY option. -

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help

My seven year old daughter got an ipod touch a few months ago from her father. She has now forgotten her password and it has been tried too many times and so the ipod has been disabled. It now say connect to itunes. I have tried to do this with the USB cable and itunes on my computer. When I got my ipod I made an account with iTunes right from my ipod.Yesterday, I made a password lock to get into my ipod and I couldn't get into it even though I did the correct one. Now it says"connect to iTunes" BUT I can't because I never registered on the computer. I've tried holding the home and sleep/wake button for 10 sec and then only the home for 5sec and that might have reset it, but it didn't help. If any of you guys know what to do so I can unlock it I would appreciate it VERY much.

Can't lock the screen anymore with a password
I can't lock the screen anymore since I installed Mavericks. I have assigned a password to the screensaver in the system preferences, but when I activate the screensaver on my iMac 8,1 it does not ask for the password when I wake it up from sleep. I have checked the option in the security preferences that the Mac should ask for a password immediately.
Any idea how the enable the password?Okay, the problem is solved. I don't really know how - I just restarted the mac several times and now it works.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it.
This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
