I close it, but it wont go away!
i opened iwork's pages a little while ago to explore it, then i closed it.
simple.
now my computer is doing software updates and it keeps telling me to close iworks before it can update it. it IS closed...i think. its on the dock and i can't figure out how to make it go away.
Look under the icon in the Dock. Is there a little triangle under it? If so it's still running. Click and hold on the icon (this is one of those situations that holding the mouse works well) and choose "Quit" from the menu. That should shut down the application. Just closing the window doesn't always shut them down.

In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:
#From the Firefox window click the Firefox button at the top left and select ''Add-ons'', or, if the Firefox button is not shown, click the ''Tools'' menu and click ''Add-ons''.
#Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
#You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
#To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the ''Remove'' button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
#Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.

Sounds like you have an Accessibility turn on. Like Assistive Touch or VoiceOver. Go to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn them off.

It looks like a a defective GPU or Logicboard. This is definitely hardware related. The solution would be to take it to Apple for a definitive diagnosis and take it from there.

Reboot the iPod by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Help! Email envelope message alert wont go away
The envelope shows message alert (2) and I have no email notifications but it wont go away. I tried taking out battery to reboot and its still there. Any suggestions?
From the Messages app hit the menu key and select View Folder and check all the folders. Then select "View Saved Messages" and check in there as well.

So I have tried to update my iPod touch about 5 times now and it still says there is an error. I,ve erased all my settings and attempted to restore it, but it wont let me. I'm ready to throw it away and find a new product
Errors when updating leads to corrupt system files and this may be your problem. If you're using windows, connect your device to PC and run any third party app like Syncios. If it detects, you maybe in luck and try to back-up your data if possible. I hope that it won't and if doesn't, there is no other way to recover files. You should be restoring with iTunes and all data will be erased, or else your device may become unusable.

My ipod shows my charger and itunes, so i download itunes. But then itunes says i musst enter my passcode on my i pod but the charger and itunes symbols wont go away long enough for me to enter my passcode. what should i do?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

dont know what to do. When watching a movie, closed caption comes up and it wont go away unless I stop the movie and restart it. Closed caption and sub titles are off but still comes up. I restored my apple tv to factory settings to see if that would stop it, but it didn't work still comes up. What can I do?

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
