I currently have a Mac OSX 10.5.8 an am using Safari version 5.0.6 as my web browser. I am getting messages saying that the web browser is outdated. I cant update to Safari 6 because my computer is not OSX 10.7 or higher. Suggestions?

Updating an outdated Safari browser when your computer is not compatible for the next version of the product.

Purchase the Snow Leopard install DVD from Apple
Install that then update to 10.6.8
Once there you can then purchase 10.7 or if your Mac will run it upgrade to 10.10 for free.
Start with a backup.

Are you using dial-up, cable, or DSL? Do you have a slow or fast connection? The former is likely to make it difficult to get a reliable download of a 4 GB file.

You can't create an iCloud account on your PC. You have to first create an iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher). After creating the account on one of these devices you can use the ID to sign into the account on your PC.

Buy the Snow Leopard retail installer (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDAzOA).
That will take you to 10.6.3.
If required you can then use the combo updater to get to the latest version, 10.6.8 (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399)

The update file is around 700 megs so if you're on a slow connection it does time out. You can also look into your anti virus software or firewall, it might be blocking the file. Also if you're trying to download it over 3G it won't work. There's a 20 meg cap on all 3G downloads.

Please utilize any available uninstallers that are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once all of the available uninstallers have been run you will then want to rerun the CC Cleaner Tool. Which particular .msi file is the message mentioning? (Several different .msi files might be referenced in this context: itunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.)

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Clean the connector on the bottom of the phone. Use a magnifying glass, bright light, and a wood or plastic toothpick. If you got the phone wet put it in a bag of uncooked rice for several days, not hours.
