I deleted all images on my computer and they deleted from my hard drive as well. Is there any way to restore them to their original place?

I have roughly 22,000 photos on my external hard drive, and when I deleted all the photos from my computer after copying them to my hard drive, they deleted from the external hard drive as well. When I look in my trash, I have 22,000 ish photos in there, but when I plug in my external hard drive, I have 44,000 ish. Is there any way I can restore my photos from the trash on my hard drive to the folders they were taken from?

You can drag them out of the trash folder to wherever you wish. There is no automatic way to restore them.
If you have a recent backup of your computer (at the risk of preaching, everyone should have one), restore them from there.
Barry
P.S. I have no clue what you did or why you have 44,000 on the external drive

Unless you have a backup copy or can use the drive from the old computer in an external enclosure, no.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies).  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.

I updated to IOS 5 and apparently didn't get my apps backed up. So, they are now lost. Is there any way to restore them?

Are they backed up to your computer? If so you can go to the "Apps" tab in the main window of your iPad and resync them there.
    OR
On you iPad go to App Store > Updates and the first tab should be something called "Purchased" (if you have already entered you Apple ID) and you can re-download from there.

  • All of my contacts were deleted for no reason. Is there any way to restore them?

I powered down my iPhone 4S because an app was bugging out. When I powered it back up, all of my contacts had been deleted. When I tried to see my contact list it told me there were "No Contacts" on this phone. In the "messages" app, each conversation is now paired with a phone-number and not each contact's name.
I did not have my contacts sync'd to my iTunes, or iCloud, or any other storage system.
Interestingly, when I do a "left-swipe search", and type in a contact's name e.g. Joe Smith, my phone is able to show me which text-message conversations were with Joe Smith, and other information about this contact. But that's the only memory my phone has of its lost contacts.
Is there any way to restore lost contacts without external storage / syncing ??
    Thanks

I think those contacts still in iphone database. So you can back up you iphone with itunes to get iphone database off your iphone. Then access the SQLite batabse.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
All data included with the backup is stored in a SQLite database format with the data within various folders not easily accessible. There are some 3rd party utilities that provide for extracting select data from an iPhone's backup and iphone database such as this one.

  • HT1751 I plugged in my IPhone and it tried to sync with my computer, I typed in my password wrong and now most of my pics are gone. Is there any way to get them back?

I lost most of my pictures by typing in my password wrong after plug in. Is there any way to get them back?

When you say you were "trying to run your computer in admin mode," what exactly does that mean? What did you do? Details here are critical. It's possible you are just logged into the wrong account, or something simple like that, and your files are all still there. On the other hand, it's possible they're all gone... in which case, what kind of backups do you have?

  • I have apparently wiped out my iPhone 4 contacts list, my apps, and my photos, etc. by syncing with iTunes.  Is there any way to restore what I had?

I have apparently wiped out my iPhone 4 contacts list, my apps, and my photos when I synced with iTunes.  Maybe I clicked the wrong button, but I just wanted to download the photos from my phone to my computer.  Is there any way to restore my previous information?

Did you sync to itunes from a different computer than the one you normally sync to?
syncing to itunes doesn't just wipe out all your data.
If you have a backup of your phone you can restore to that backup.

  • I've just synched my new iphone 4s and lost my videos and pictures .. is there any way to restore them?

I've just synched my new iPhone 4s and lost my videos and photos as I opted not to save them when prompted - is there any way to restore these files?

No. Not if you didn't have them backed up somewhere.

  • IPhoto (most recent) just crashed while uploading photos.  It tried to fix itself and in the process erased every single photo.  Is there any way to retrieve them?

While uploading my family Christmas photos, my computer went completely blank.  When it started back up again, I had a message that iPhoto had been damaged and needed to be corrected.  So I let it restore and it took several minutes.  Then I had a message that it could not find any photos or data and it restart the computer.  If that didn't work it said to push "option and command" buttons while starting iPhoto.  Nothing worked.
It appears as though I have lost thousands and thousands of pictures including all vacations, last moment s with my father, kids entire childhoods.  The photos are invaluable.  I understand that they are on the hard drive.  I have had to restore everything from the hard drive once when my laptop was stolen and I lost about a third of the photos because they came back damaged.  I hope this is not the only solution to the problem.
Does anyone know how to restore iPhoto or retieve my photos? What happened?  I am guessing iPhoto is not a reliable place to keep my pictures anymore.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a back up?
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Due to a virus, I need to re-format my hard drive...is there any way I can back up my bookmarks and passwords to a memory stick?

Out of the blue, I received a "Windows Security Alert", which looked very authentic, and yes, I was sucked in and clicked in...ran ZA-Pro, which helped kill the symptoms, but system still does not operate properly.
I stumbled upon another way to gain internet access, so, here I am...
Regardless of my specific problem, I think my question is very basic: "Is there a way to send my password and bookmark info to an external drive for back-up purpose?"

  • I bought a phone off someone and now i cannot access the phone because it is linked to there account and they are no where to be found. Is there any way i or apple can somehow wipe out the phone?

I just bought a phone off an individual however they did not remove the device from their icloud, find my iphone etc. so i cannot access the phone since i do not have the password and the person is no where to be found. Is there anything I or apple can do to remove it for me and erase and wipe out the phone so i can activate it?

Sorry no, more than likely you bought a stolen phone, especially if you can't contact the seller.
Apple can't do anything to help you wipe or remove.

  • I purchased an iphone 4s secondhand but now i find that the person has a security feature still locked onto the phone and they are not responding to my message. Is there any way to resolve this problem.

How do I resolve an issue with a secondhand phone purchase that has a security feature link to it and it hasnt been removed therefore I cant use the phone.

    Hi paisley,
Sorry, there is no way around the Activation Lock. You either need to contact the original owner and get them to turn off Find My iPhone and wipe the phone from their iCloud account, or you need to return it to the seller.
    Sorry,
