I don't have the option to add a device on either the iphone or the computer. Both devices tell me to go to "add a device" and neither device give me that option.

I set up sync and downloaded firefox home which I opened. I clicked I already had a sync account and it asked me to add the passcode to my computer under add a device, which is not an option that comes up. Only thing that comes up on my vista computer is set up sync which tells me to go to add a device on my iphone which also does not come up. It is a never ending loop. I tried entiring the passcodes that come up on both devices in both devices alternating codes but none work and they also keep changing.

This happens when you PC disconnects from the sync server. If you go to Tools > Options and then the Sync tab in Firefox 4 and it's not showing your email address with options to manage your sync account, then you've been logged out.
From that window you need to press Connect and use the option "I don't have the device with me" which will allow you to reconnect to the sync server using your email address and sync key you first got when you created the account.
Once you've logged back in, the option to enter the phone's pass code will appear.

Plug into iTunes on any computer.
Hold down the sleep wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Don't let go of the sleep wake button and press and hold the home button as well. Do this until the Apple logo disappears.
Now let go of the sleep wake button but keep your finger on the home button for a few more seconds. The device should go in a mode that will enable you to restore it.

we have an iphone 4s. It needs to reset as the vibration has stopped. We have a new computer that does not have itunes. My iPod Touch got disabled, but I don't have the computer that it's registered to anymore.

A young family member of mine decided to play with my iPod Touch and put a passcode on it. After several wrong tries and a fruitless attempt to get the little dear to remember what she put, it's disabled now. I no longer own a computer (I'm submitting this on my PC at work. Plugging it into any other computer has proved useless as the passcode keeps it from syncing with anything but the original computer, which is in a recycling plant somewhere in California by now. The passcode is very secure, and if you configured the iPod Touch to erase itself after ten consecutive incorrect attempts, its content has already been irretrievably erased. You will need to restore the iPod with another computer, not sync it as you have apparently been trying to accomplish. You will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

If it was showing the connect to iTunes screen it is in recovery mode and must be connect to a computer with iTunes. Recovery mode erases all content and settings so there is nothing wrong with using another computer. If you have a backup in iCloud use that to restore, or download the apps and songs you had on it.

Yes you can de-authorize the computers without them being present. With your itunes open go to store, go down to my account. Enter your account information (it should just be email and password) then (this is the easiest method) deauthorize all of the accounts. Then for the computers/devices you do have just authorize them by putting in your apple id and password.
