I don't under stand y my i pad don't show up on my home computer itunes and this is my 2nd ipad  ,so i can't sync it even threw the ipad it tells me i am not hooked up to my computer ?\

when i plug in my ipad to my computer the apple ipad photos comes up and says there isn't any files and that is it ,i hit the x and pring up itunes and it don't show in the right corner my ipad at all .even in the files for devices the snyc is not light up .So what can i do to get my videos transfer to my ipad?
