I dont't receive my iCloud mail anymore on my Mac.

Since last Friday I dont't receive my iCloud mail anymore on my Mac. The iPad still works fine. I can't think of any reason why my Mac doesn't receive the e-mail anymore. Other accounts are still working.
Sincerely,
Riks

  • Incoming iCloud mail appearing on my Mac but not on my iPhone

I am able to send and receive email from/to my @icloud.com/@me.com accounts from within Mac OS Mail (Mountain Lion) but nothing is coming through to my iCloud Inbox in Mail on my iPhone. I have tried deleting iCloud from the iPhone and reinstating it already, but that has not worked.
On the iPhone, I have gone in to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > (Accounts) iCloud > Account (my Apple ID) iCloud Account Information > Advanced - Under 'Allow Sending From' my two iCloud mail accounts (@icloud.com and @me.com) are displayed, but the @me.com account is dimmed, but the on/off switch is On and not selectable, with the @icloud.com account selectable.

If you're having trouble sending and receiving iCloud mail on your Mac, try the troubleshooting steps in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4002.

That's normal.  The @me.com is dimmed because you have selected this account as your default address to send from (so you can't disallow sending from it).  If you tap Email just above this setting, you wil notice that your @me.com address is checked as your default account to send from.

  • How do I add my iCloud mail to Outlook for Mac

I can't seem to get my iCloud mail account to sync with my Outlook for Mac!  It used to be on there but kept giving me error messages saying it couldn't pick up my mail because it couldn't find the server.  I took it off now I can't get it back on.

Check that you have the server settings shown in this Apple Tech Note:

  • No Longer Possible to Access iCloud Mail on Third Party Mac

Something has changed recently. It is no longer possible to access iCloud mail on a third party mac via web browser
This afternoon, I tried to do so on my daughter's iMac - and the system wanted me to set up iCloud rather than letting me access Mail (or any other iCloud services for that matter) instead. Tried different browsers, change of login account on the computer. All to no avail. Have to set up iCloud on the computer. Which means either logging my daughter out, or creating a whole new identity for the purpose. This entirely defeats the notion of the simple webmail interface - and indeed makes Pages, Calendar, etc inaccessible unless on your own computer, or one that you have used to set up an iCloud account. Not something that you want to do in an internet cafe or an airport lounge.
Two sets of Chat Support sessions later, with the problem being hinted to be probably due to "my daughter's computer (!!???)", no satisfaction
I am now in the airport, trying to still access my iCloud mail through a web browser. Same nonsense about setting up iCloud before I can access my iCloud mail via the web through a browser.
Apple, this was one of the advantages of iCloud that I, as a regular traveller, have found useful in the past. Today I have wasted well over an hour on something that is clearly an error in the logic of how people will be using iCloud - possibly a "feature" of Mavericks?
Please bring back simple and straightforward access to iCloud mail via web browser, so that I can once again access my mail from any third party computer.
    Thanks
    Nic

Excellent, well done. I have to say that talktalk were useless, they repeatedly sent me instructions for setting up an emil account and did not seem able to understand that it was the login that would not work. Thank you.

  • Why aren't people receiving my iCloud calendar invites from my Mac, iPhone or iPad?

Why aren't people receiving my iCloud Calendar invites?  This is a problem with all my devices.  I have tried the suggestions on the Community message boards to no avail.  This problem has been going on for weeks.
I switched from MobileMe months ago and never had any problems until a few weeks ago.  I kept thinking it would resolve itself, but it hasn't.

Apple turns into Microsoft. Very annoying same problem here. If you invite someone with a proper email address, that person should get an invite whether you use mobile me, icoud, ical standalone or entourage. Big shame for apple.

  • On my IPad email doesn't work anymore. I can't receive or send mails anymore.

My IPad, 18 GB, ioS 8.02
I don't know why, but all of a sudden my email doesn't work at all anymore. I can't send or receive mails. When I push the icon mail button, I see only a blank page. I see only the first line for answering, forwarding or writing new mails. But if I try to push one of those buttons, nothing happens.
My IPad knowledge is not so good. So I didn't try anything to repare it.
i would appreciate your help very much.

    Consider updating iOS to 8.2
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
Delete and re-add the email account.

  • TS4002 How do you receive your icloud mail on Snow Leopard?

I have Leopard on both my iMac and Macbook Pro and today the email stopped working.  I had a mobileme account and when the said to switch to icloud I called their tech and said I wasn't upgrading to Lion yet and still wanted to keep my email address, so he walked me through the steps to make icloud work with Leopard.  (unfortunately I didn't have a log from the call.)
Just spent 1 hour waiting for an icloud tech and then when we connected another 45 minutes before (after I told him up front I had Leopard) he said they don't deal with tech support for Leopard and icloud.  A bit frustrating to say the least.
Anyone know the steps to reinstate icloud on my macs?

Thanks for this. I followed most of these instructions, but no incoming mail on my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard until I checked the "Use SSL" box (noting that it's required in your instructions) next to the port number in Mail's Preferences/Advanced.  As soon as I did that, the port number "993" appeared, and after saving my changes, quitting Mail and restarting, my new account retrieved all my stored Inbox messages and I was good to go.
Thanks again for solving my question.

  • TS3276 I cannot read my mail because of connecting error!! I dont get access to my mail, either on iphone, Mac or at the icloud site. It stopped suddenly yesterday!

    i cannot read my mail!!
    It stopped working yesterday.
It doesnt work on my iphone, on my Mac og at the isloud site.
    Is this a general problem?

That was the first thing I tried and all that happened was it took a picture of the screen (I saw that in my photos folder when the phone finally came back to life).
I tried again with syncing it in itunes and it took a while but eventually it kinda reset itself and I did have to redo the set up again but it's working fine now.
And surprisinly none of my data/pictures was lost which was odd as I heard that doing the restore would delete it all.
Thankfully it's sorted out now. Was really worried for a second that something was seriously wrong. I've only had this phone for 3 months so it would have been awful having to pay for a replacement.

  • ICloud Mail has been down (Mac, iOS, online) since last night. Anyone else?

Mail has been down completely since last night. Not able to access from Air, iPhone, iPad, or via Safari. System Status reports no problems. Other iCloud tools (Calendar, Contacts) seem fine.
    Anyone else having this problem?

I've noticed this as well since about 10:30 EST.  I used to have emails forwarding from another address and when I switched that off the other address is receiving emails instantly so it's definitely a problem on Apple's end.  It's good to see that at least one other person is reporting the problem here, but it would be even better if Apple would update the status page.  I can be very patient if I know it's a known issue for them, but hate seeing that all is up and running normally from their point of view when it isn't.

  • ICloud mail settings for my mac

How come my iCloud account is not working in  Mail on my MacBookPro? I gather MobileMe mail accounts are no longer valid (a bit of warning would have been nice as I now can't email everyone from that address to warn them my address would be changing.) When I go into preferences in Mail there is no incoming mail server entered and I don't know what to put in that space. My Mail account is now only accepting mail to my primary mail account set up on Mail and none from my iCloud or MobileMe account. Very frustrating. Not sure I'm liking all the iCloud changes.
Do I now just delete the old MobileMe account from my list of accounts and only have the primary one and iCloud one? And if I do delete it, will all the emails to that address disappear too? I'm assuming they won't but just in case, thought I'd better check.
    Help anyone?
    Cheers,
    Cathie

Thanks for your suggestion, but my system is 10.7.2 and running on Lion
Then if your signature had reflected that I wouldn't have wasted my time posting information on what to do in Snow Leopard. Please keep your signature up to date.
If you have migrated at http://me.com/move your MobileMe email has been migrated to iCloud and should worrk perfectly well. Check at http://icloud.com and navigate to the Mail page to see whether your email is there.
Then signing in in System Preferences>iCloud and checking Mail and any other data types you want to access should get it working. If it hasn't, start by signing out and starting over. Make sure you are signing in with your ex-MobileMe @me.com address, not your login for iTunes if this is different.

  • How to receive an e mail notification when my Mac finishes a copy.

Hi there. I  left at the office my Mac copying a big chunk of data from one HDD to another. I was wondering if is a way to setup my Mac to send me an e-mail when a task is finished, in this case copying . In my day to day, that would be a very useful feature.
    Thanks

You would have to search the iTunes Store to find such an app. I know of ones that do so within a room, but not wirelessly. It is doable with a remove computer, however, using Screen Sharing (sometimes referred to as Back To My Mac.) I don't know if it's possible with an iPhone to use it, however. But if it is then someone has probably written an app for it. You can do it from your office Desktop if it's a Mac.

  • ICloud mail not working on Mac

Why won't it connect? It says something with this «p04-imap.mail.me.com» and 993?

993 is at times about a firewall causing a blockage.

  • Can't Receive Email in Mail from Cloud Since Yesterday ...Anyone?

Since yesterday, my Mac (OSX Lion) is no longer receiving email from my mac.com email address.
    My iPhone receives it fine.
I tried looking up support articles, but one of the incoming fields in MAIL they want you to set it to is greyed out so I can't change it.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get Mail back to receiving mail sent to my mac.com address?
    Thanks
    Tom

I went there...first went to my mac account and it said "Your account has been moved to iCloud adjust settings there" or something, so I went there....unchecked and rechecked MAIL ( couldn't log out, as it were) but nothing is happening. It's as if Mail just can't receive iCloud mail anymore. Again, my iPhone is fine. I am having to go to iCloud on the web to see my incoming mail addressed to my .mac account.
So confusing and no way to get help from Apple without paying for the call. Silly.
    Ugh!!!

  • ICloud mail not being pushed to iOS devices

    Hello there,
I've been having an issue with receiving new iCloud mail messages on my iPhone and iPad. They are not being automatically pushed to my iOS devices. They arrive normally to my MacBook and iCloud.com.
I've tried the steps on the offical support page and it recommends deleting the iCloud account and then readding it.
    My question is:
If I do this, will all my photos automatically redownload to the 'My Photo Stream' album in Photos?
    Thanks.

No, only photos from the last 30 days will be redownloaded; older photos are no longer in iCloud and will be lost.  If you want to save your photo stream photos save them to your camera roll first (open your my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll).
