I download lion for 2 hours and click to install it and it started downloading again.. Is the first download stored somewhere so that I can install it and not download it again?

If the download completed successfully and you haven't installed it, the installer can be found in your Applications folder.

What your iPhone using friends label your phone number in their contacts is irrelevant. I don't know who you pay $9.99 a month to but it's not Apple. You can't disable text messaging on your iPad as it is not capable of SMS.
Do you still have the iPhone? If so, log out of iMessage on the iPhone.

Log in if not already logged in.
Click on "Edit Products"
Click on the "X" to the right of the product.
Click "Unregister"
Also, try changing the password on your iTunes account. -
I have an IMAC and purchased OS X Lion to upgrade from the APP store, and launched the software for downloading, and I have been waiting on this for an hour, and it still says it's downloading? What do I do next?

The OS X Lion installer takes more than 4 GB of space, so it is normal for most Internet connections to take the download more than an hour.
If you want to see the download progress, open the Mac App Store and go to Purchases.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 Family- 'extracting' for 24 hours and I can't cancel it and start again

I've been trying to download the trial of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 Family for 24 hours now. It downloaded in Adobe Download Assistant fine and the it started 'Extracting'. Its been extracting for 24 hours and the close or pause buttons next to it are not available to press so I can't stop it and try again.
A message half way through did pop up saying 'opening premier pro, verifying...' but then a warning sign came up saying 'the following disk images couldn't be opended. Reason: Invalid Checksum' . Don't know if that has anything to do with it but on Adobe Download Assistant it is still 'Extracting'.
I am working on a year old Macbook Pro with a fast connection to the internet.

I have tried many times today to install iTunes 10.5 in order to update to iOS5 on my Iphone 4 however it just wont work. I have a MacBook Pro and when I use the software update it says that I have already downloaded iTunes 10.5 but when I go to install it and it says it is writing the files and the bluw bar is working its way across the page and then becomes very very slow and and at the last millimetre it seems to just hang there and do nothing. I even left if like this for several hours and nothing progressed. I have since tried to update via the iTunes program and the same problem happens. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

by "repair" I mean I went to the control panel, option - programs and features, and in the list of all my installed programs I selected "Apple Software Update". On top of the screen you find the options Uinstall, Change and Repair. I clicked the repair button and that did the trick. After the repair I could uninstall the program. I also uninstalled iTunes, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support en Bonjour, thus all Apple programs. Then I installed iTunes 10.5 again and everything went fine.

iphone has been in recovery mode for 4 hours and hasn't come back to the home screen and how can i fix this and get it back to working order?
the iphone 4S has been in recovery mode for a long time and i have tried to press and hold the power and home buttons until the apple symbols comes on the screen again but it stay on the screen until the screen turns off and doesn't come back on to the home screen and have tried to sync with mac and doesn't do anything it does display the itunes and cable icons for a while but then goes back to the apple symbol and doers nothing what can I do to fix this and not loose what is on the phone at all?Hi, simonRM.

First man up and admit, that itunes does not suggest, but tells you that update is available and you made a
decision to download and update. Once you man up - think if you still under warranty. If that is not security
software according to the link provided, it is hardware. So second try another network, may be your network
has additional security or firewall. And third decide if it worth to you pay 149 for that phone or get it replaced.

My iPod isn't charging. cauas on red so i took it and plugged the charger in the iPod i took a nap for 2 hours and woke up went to get my iPod and it is still on red which ***** cause we are going n a road trip i checked the charger and no shortage no bends and be aware it says it is charging but its not help?????
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Im posting on behalf of the logged in person
His Macbook pro 13" just started going VERY slow overnight, Startup - 10min, open app - 3/4min etc
He took it to an Apple store - they concluded the HDD is faulty
and they quoted him ZAR4000 to replace the drive ( the Samsung drive they quoted on typically sells for ZAR650 )
He rejected the quote as it was too expensive, that is when I got involved
I took the existing 500GB Toshiba drive out and put it through a battery of tests - all passed
I then took a brand new Western Digital 500 GB HDD, installed it, went through the steps to load OSX
The unmount action takes 30 odd min, the erase / partition / format runs for days
That 1st attempt took in excess of 3 days ( round the clock ) to get it running,
but with the new hdd & clean install - still as slow as ****
(any version of OSX, up to the latest - same results )
I then installed an old 100GB Intel SSD - everything was lightning fast and the system was up & running in 3 Hours
In the last 2 weeks I have tried different conventional HDD's - they all take ages to load & once done - is very,very slow
Is there something im not aware of in terms of HDD's specifically compatible with Mac ?

Correct. If the backups are indeed corrupted, as they appear to be, you may or may not be able to do a full system restore. It just depends on where the corruption is, and there's no way to determine that.
An option would be to boot from your Install disc, erase your internal HD, and install OSX. When your Mac restarts, try using +Setup Assistant+ to restore your settings, apps, users, and data, per the green box in #19 of Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).
If that doesn't work, erase your disk and install OSX again, but this time don't transfer anything. Set up a temporary user account (using a different name than any that are on your backups). When your Mac reboots, use +Migration Assistant+ (per the pink box in #19) to bring things over, one group at a time. If it hangs on one group, make a note of what didn't transfer, and go on to the next. Then use the normal Time Machine "Star Wars" display to restore the missing items selectively. You may very well get most of your data that way. -

I have a similar (if not the exact same) problem! Here are some more details if they are helpful.
My iPhone 4 died earlier today and will not turn back on. It seemed that the battery died while it was not in use. I attempted to charge it on one charging cord in multiple wall outlets and none worked. Assuming it was a malfunction in the cord, I took my phone home to try charging it there.
Again, I attempted charging it in multiple outlets with a different cord than previously used. None of these seemed to work, though they would flash the Connect to Power screen for a brief moment before returning to a black screen. I assumed that my phone was simply so depleted of battery that it needed a long charge.
I charged it for 30+ minutes without any success, then attempted to charge it through my MacBook instead of through a wall outlet. iTunes did not even recognize that my phone plugged in (and still hasn't). I've attempted charging it for an extended period of time (1+ hour) with no luck. Sometimes when I press the Power button it will flash the Connect to Power screen once more before returning to black.
The Apple logo never appears, nor does any apparent progress on charging. I have attempted holding down the Power and Home buttons simultaneously for 10 - 30 second increments. Still no luck. There is no reason anything should be happening with this phone that I can identify.
I have no warranty and just recently replaced my previous phone which had had similar problems before completely crashing. This is a phone new to me that was previously used but in almost new conditions and factory reset by Apple prior to my purchase.
Does this mean that my phone battery is dead?
Is there anything else I can do?? -

My iphone 4s got water in the headphone poert. I put my phone in rice for 24 hours and the LED is on. It stays on even when the phone is off. How can i fix it without taking it to apple and spendding 200 dollars to have them fix it?
Short answer is you probably cannot. Once water gets inside the device and it is powered on, the damage likely is permanant.

- Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
