I downloaded iBooks but there's no icon to open it, and I can't uninstall because I can't access the app. How do I either open it or uninstall and reinstall?

When I downloaded iBooks no icon appeared on the homepage, so I can't uninstall to reinstall, nor can I access the app. How can I do either of these?

If you're sure you downloaded it, and the app was actually installed, try using the search function to find the app. Tap your homekey once to get to the search screen (or swipe to the left one screen over from your left-most home screen), then type in iBooks.
If search doesn't locate iBooks, then the app wasn't installed. Try restarting your iPad. (Don't just put it to sleep and wake it up again; shut it down then turn it back on.)

  • I downloaded Firefox; but there is no icon to drag to Accessory and no menu bar.

I downloaded Firefox to my MacPro. I waited for the Firefox icon to appear in order to drag it to the Application box but the icon never appeared. What can I do?

Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.<br />
Open the DMG file and drag the Firefox program to the application folder on your hard drive.<br />
You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but drag it out of the DMG folder instead.

  • Downloaded ibook but there are no pictures?

I have an ipad 1 and recently purchased an ibook and the book downloaded with no pictures. All i have in the pictures place is a blue question mark. The ipad has the most current ios version and apple support said it is my ipad not a problem with the book itself. Do i have a setting that needs to be changed? I really don't want to pay for support, has anyone had this problem and been able to change it?
    Thanks

I found the solution that worked for me on this site. You have to manually reset the date and time back a few months and then go through and delete the recently deleted photos. I freed up almost 3gb of space doing this
    On your phone to to:
    1. settings
    2. general
    3. date and time
    4. untoggle set automatically
    5. manually select a date months in the past (I reset to 1 year in the past)
    6. go to photo app>albums>recently deleted
    7. delete old photos
I found hundreds of photos from 3 years ago which needed to be deleted.
    Hope this helps

  • I believe I might have a virus on my mac.  Mackeeper shows up 4 times on my download listings but there is no icon on my applications tab.  Does this mean I have installed some sort of problem on my computer now?

Hello  Last night while watching a video on Facebook a pop up window said I had a virus and to clean it click on the link.  I did so and followed a prompt or 2 and then I thought this was a scam so I stopped.  However I looked at my download file and it shows Mackeeper listed 4 times.  Does this mean I have installed MacKeeper and if so does this mean I have installed some sort of malware/spyware or problems for my computer hence for myself.
    Thank you for your help

  • When I click on the Creative Cloud Icon on the desktop, it pops up and shows me "HOME"  I cannot scroll down or access, the Apps, Assets, or Community.

Why can't I access Apps, Assets or Community.  Everything is frozen.

    Hi Pekeris,
    Please quit creative cloud app.
    Then perform below given steps:
Remove the OPM.db file and relogin into the Creative Cloud desktop application using the Adobe ID tied to your subscription.
Mac OS: You can locate the OPM.db file in the \User\<user name>\Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE folder. To access the hidden user Library folder, see Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 Lion.
Windows: You can locate the OPM.db file in the \Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE folder.  To view the hidden AppData folder, see Show hidden files, folders, filename extensions | Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7.
Please, let us know how it goes.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • TS1702 My Facebook app froze so I deleted the app and reinstalled it.  I've done this before with no problem in the past, but this time it says Facebook is installed, but there's no icon on my iPad. I can't delete it again because there is no icon.  HELP!

My Facebook app froze so I deleted it and reinstalled it.  I've done this several times in the past with no problems.  This time, the app store says it's installed, but there is no icon.  I can't delete it again, because there is no icon to delete and the app store has it listed as installed.  The updates page says it is updated.  I have shut my iPad down completely and restarted with no luck.  I don't know what else to try. Suggestions?

Try resetting your device.  Hold down the power button and the Home button on your iPad, ignore the slide to power off message, continue to hold both buttons until you see the white Apple logo. After it restarts try download the Facebook app again.

  • I can't find the iBook application. It shows that I have the app, but there is no icon for it.

I can't find my iBook app. It shows that I have the application, but there is no icon.

It has likely moved to another page on your iPad.  To swipe between pages, take your finger and swipe left on the home page to get to the next page.  Keep doing so until you find the App.  Another way to find the App is while on your home page, touch your home button once and Spot Light Search will appear.  In the search bar, type iBooks and your iPad will locate the App.  If all that fails, you can connect your iPad to your iTunes account via your computer.  After your iPad syncs, open the device by clicking on the iPad from the left hand side of your screen.  Once your device is open in iTunes, click on the Apps button above and make sure iBooks is checked.  If it is not, put a check in the box and the App will appear on your iPad screen.

  • There are no icons of the apps i downloaded. I mean, I used them for a while, then my iPod died, I charged it a little, then turned it on, and saw blanks instead of apps. They work pretty fine, but there are no icons, just white rectangles. What can I do?

    - First try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - If still problem restore the iPOd via iTunes on your computer.  First from backup and if problem persists restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Reboot your iPad and then try it again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • I downloaded iBooks but it is stuck in Loading and I can't seem to Uninstall. Help!

I downloaded iBooks but it is stuck in Loading and I can't seem to Uninstall. Help!

Try restarting your iPad : press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider; then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. If the app download doesn't re-start, then you couldtry downloading the app to your computer and then syncing/copying it across to your iPad.

I have just rented a film and clicked the menu button instead of pause. When I go back to the film to rent again it says I have already rented this go to settings and check for downloads. But there is no download option in settings?

It does... Apple TV has a problem with the assignment to the itunes account after updating. Restore to factory settings or unlog and news login to the itunes store helps to see the rented/downloaded film(s).

    Hello:
In Finder, enter the name of something you downloaded.  Once located, that should indicate where the item is stored.
