I use windows 7 Ultimate in my laptop. I was experiencing slowness in starting and using mozilla firefox. I kept on seeing this prompt that said "Learn how to speed it up". I finally decided to follow the prompt and it showed me how to Re-set Firefox. Now however, i cannot access one of my really important downloaded Applications. Please, how do i resolve this?

You shouldn't be prompted for an activation lock password when updating, but I would recommend resetting your password, if you have forgotten it, before running the update, just in case. Take a look at the article below for more information.

You are not on Mountain Lion anymore, right? You are on Mavericks and have downloaded Pages 5 and then created docuemnts in it which can't be opened in Pages 09.
No, you don't have to buy a newer Pages but you have to be particular about which version you use.

I created a "guest" network on my Time Machine router, but now i can't remember the password. How can I reset the password on that guest network?

When I upgraded to Time Machine to replace my Apple Airport, I created a "guest" network as well as a main network for the family. Now I can't access the guest network, likely because I am not using the right password. I have forgotten (if I ever knew) how to edit the password requirements for a network. Any assistance would be welcome.

On your Mac.....
Open Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click the Wireless tab at the top of the next window
The settings for the Guest Network are located in the center of the window, below the settings for the "Main" network.
Edit/backspace out the password for the Guest Network and and then Verify the password again
Click Update at the lower right of the window and give the Time Capsule a full minute to restart
It might be a good idea to write down the new password that you created and keep it in a safe place.

I can't make my Apple ID and my primary email one and the same. I've had my Apple ID since the first iPod but now I can't access iCloud because of this.

Since the introduction of iCloud, I've had this problem with the Apple ID. I've tried to "manage my Apple ID" but clicking the box to "make Apple ID and primary email address one and the same" but it just won't work. I'd given up and just ignored everything iCloud... I've ignored iCloud on my iPad mini and my iPhone 5 and now I'm going to get an iPhone 5s. I'm sure this will be an issue again. FYI, my Apple ID is in the format "a_xyz" only and it's working for purchases and upgrading of iOS, etc just not with iCloud. Any suggestions other than to create a new iCloud account with a different name? Thanks!

You also said "Says my email address is already in use." You can only have one account with one email address.
I do not understand what you did or why you did it. What is current status of the iPod?

Have you tried a "hard reset"? If so, I would take the phone to an Apple store. If not,
1. Make sure the phone is OFF
2. Hold the HOME button and then press the power button and HOLD IT.
3. Hold both buttons until the phone comes ON, goes OFF and come ON again (about 45 seconds)
4. Re-sync with iTunes.

My song lists used to alternate row colors but now they're all white... How do I undo this ?

I do not know how this problem began. All I know is that in a guest account, the colors of the rows alternate between white and blue. But now the background is completely white. However, if a webpage or another window overlaps the iTunes page, immediately off the edge of the overlapping page you can see the alteration of colors just a little bit.

This was driving me crazy too, after some digging around here in the forums I found the problem.
Go to System Preferences
Click on Accessibility
Under Display, move the slider labeled "Enhance Contrast" all the way to the left (Normal)
You should now have alternating row colors back!

I used Iolo to "clean" my hard drive, and now I can't access some websites, including facebook. How can I fix this? I get what looks like a root directory.

I had my computer replaced but copied my hard drive and now I can't access my firefox bookmarks, how can I go and extract the bookmarks from my copied harddrive?

My HP Touchsmart was sent back in to HP for repairs under warranty. I was advised to make a copy of my harddrive because they may erase my hard drive, which they did, if the problem had to do with a faulty motherboard, which it was. They replaced my HD with a brand new one and now I DO NOT have any of my data installed in the new computer. Luckily I still have an exact replicate of my hard drive on a seperate external HD. However, when I looked in the bookmark.html under the firefox folder, the bookmarks were all blank and none of my bookmarks were there. I checked the properties tabe and it was dated sometime in March of 2011, earlier this year. I have a lot of stuff I wish to pull out from. The Firefox version I was using was the 3.6.16 and the file version was 1.9.2.4095, my OS was use Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I would like to be able to access it again. Please help. Just a heads up but I'm taking a guess you guys already know, that the information under troubleshooting information is of my current computer and not the same as the one that is copied in my hard drive.
