Apple includes Lion with its refurbished products. What you bought was a used computer. The best course of action is to try to get your money back and buy a factory-certified refurbished computer. Otherwise, you are likely buying someone else's problem.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Using Pro Logic X to record. I have several tracks and I'm trying to record an audio track. I have the mic connect to Avalon 737 then into apollo interface. When I record all track are being recorded into that track. I can't just get the audio to record.

I had this set up done with two representatives of Neumann, and DBox. Here it is I hope this helps. 32 Channel snake (24 Inputs 8 outputs) Channels 1-8 from snake to my Octopre for Drums. From Octropre output quarter inch lines into the Apollo 2, quarter inch input. This is so that the Apollo 2 is taking the drum tracks. Snake Channel 9-12 into Apollo 1 channels 1-4 xlr. Snake Channel 13-16 into Apollo 2 Channels 1-4 xlr. Snake Channel 17 into the 737, output of 737 into Channel 5 of the Apollo 1 quarter inch.
Ok The Dbox. Sum output L&R into channel input 7&8 of Apollo 1. Apollo 1 output channels 1-8 into summing input channel 1-8 of Dbox. Apollo 1 main L&R going to main analog input L&R of Dbox. Spid out to DAW input of Dbox. I have both ADAT of both Apollos connected by optical wire. Also have port 2 of Apollo 1 into port 1 of Apollo 2 connected by Firewire. Let me know. My Bluetooth has disappeared and I have tried just about everything on the internet. When I click on Bluetooth file exchange it says hardware not found. I tried resetting everything as well nothing is working for me please help because now my facetime doesn’t work neither does photo booth and now I cannot text people off my laptop unless they have iMessage.
If you followed the instructions in the support article exactly (leaving the machine off for two minutes), then it has a hardware fault. Take it to an Apple Store or other authorized service provider for repair.

I just set up my new macbook air yesterday-today I find that all the birthdays I had on the calendar on my ipad had transferred to being on October 16 (yesterday). The birthdays on each individual contact has changed to that date also-have no idea now when my friend's/relatives birthdays are.

It's totally normal unless it's burning your skin, being hot or warm is normal. Try not to cover the back/bottom where the screen meets the base too much that's where the vent is.

I am not able to ENLARGE photos on Facebook, this means photos that friends post on News Feed & photos that I post in my FB photo albums. I only get a BLANK, BLACK screen when I click on individual photos. A friend suggested that I upload the New Firefox, and I did this today, but it did not resolve problem. Friend also suggested that it could be "Screen Resolution Setting"?? OR "Data Rate" too slow?? I do not know how to check these features? Please help! What blue bubble are you trying to turn on? If you mean that the Send button will not work, go to Settings>Messages>Show Subject Field>Off. Make sure that is set to off.
If you send an iMessage, the texts between the devices appear in a blue bubble.
iMessages only work between iOS devices and they are different than the standard text messages that any cell phone can send to another cell phone. -

In most cases the problems may be caused by one or more of these:
Problem with the computer's PRAM - See Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM.
Boot drive's directory has been corrupted - Repair with Disk Utility.
Critical system files are damaged or deleted - Reinstall OS X.
The disk drive is physically non-functional - Replace the hard drive.
Note that the information I have provided is what Apple recommends, If other users suggest different solutions than found here, then be sure what they recommend does not impact on your warranty, if any, or ability to get continuing Apple service.
Please don't start removing drives or changing cables unless you know what you are doing and have exhausted other non-invasive alternatives outlined here. If you perform any work yourself that is unapproved by Apple, then you will void any warranty you may have and lose all further Apple Support.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
The main difference if you are using Lion or Mountain Lion is that you must first boot from the Recovery HD. Simply boot from the Recovery HD to perform the above.
Reinstall Snow Leopard Without Erasing The drive

After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing The Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. Um, this makes no sense. The binary is already on the device, it came directly from Apple so I'm not sure where the hold up is. I guess it depends on what is exactly "Verifying update ..." is. I always believed it was about checking to ensure the binary was proper; not sure why it has to call back to Apple servers in that case.
It's super annoying. Apple really needs to fix this problem. Especially when one has to leave and needs to take their devices with them...
Last time this happened, all I had to do was connect to iTunes and the issue cleared out immediately and updated.
