I had just bought a new i5 13" macbook air yesterday and as i was using it to just surf the web, it feels hot at the base

i just bought this i5 13" macbook yesterday and just as i was using it to surf the web on safari, it was feeling quite hot on the base. i do not hear any noise from the fans. advise please?

It's totally normal unless it's burning your skin, being hot or warm is normal.   Try not to cover the back/bottom where the screen meets the base too much that's where the vent is.
