I got an iPhone 3G off my sister who had got it off a friend, I have the latest update and everything seems to work fine, except when i put my telstra sim card in, a message pops up saying "sim failure", can this be fixed or this iPhone unusable? thanx :)

It might mean that the phone is locked to the previous carrier - if you put your sim card in and this happens, could be that the phone is locked.
You would need to ask your sister to ask her friend if the phone was locked to the carrier she was using. If so and you want to use another sim card in the phone the original phone company will have to unlock the phone before this can be done.
To get the phone unlocked though your sister's friend would have to contact the phone company to get it unlocked and she would be the last person to use the phone.

I need some help.... It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

When i add text to PDFs and work on the file for awhile, my red added text starts to turn into red X's with a box around them. I have OCRs turned off, i have the latest update, and i have registered the product. What is happening to my text while i'm working on these files? On top of this, my red arrows get moved around also.

What's the precise text of the message, please? (There's a few different ones I can think of that you might be getting.) -

It should have backed up automatically at the start of the update process. And you should be saving photos from your phone to your computer regularly, just like you would with any digital camera. If you were not doing this you MAY lose the photos, but if your backup at the start of the update was successful you will not. Just DO NOT sync after the update, until you have restore the backup and verified that it is OK.
What error message did you get during the update? Before you restore do the following:
Reboot your computer
Connect to a USB port on the computer directly, not a hub
disable your antivirus and firewall
Launch iTunes
Finally, connect the phone and restore. -

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Get an external hard drive on which to store some of your files after which you can
erase the data from your internal drive to free up space.
5. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
6. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
7. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located. -

As suggested try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
Also, it might help if you provide a little more detail on what you mean by "not working" -

I have .me and .mac email accounts on my iPhone 4. I thought I had successfully transitioned from MobileMe to iCloud, but something must be wrong. iCloud seems to work fine on my computer and, with the exception of two email accounts, seems to be fine on my phone. Can/should I delete the accounts on my phone and start over? It is somewhat of a nuisance to have two email accounts and double the amount of emails. The only thing different about the two iCloud accounts is the email addresses. Thanks.
Well, seems I managed to unscrew this...I deleted my iCloud mail account and reinstalled it on my phone. That got rid of the duplicate .me/.mac email accounts.

I installed an Extreme in place of an old Express, the various phones and Ipads seem to work on the WiFi but the Mac itself will not connect. It says something about the IP address being used by another device. Second wifi network was also created. The Mac worked for a few minutes and then gaev up citing eth IP problem......any clues people??
If you have not already done so, now would be a good time to perform a complete network power cycle.......to give everything a fresh start.
Power off every device on the network.....computers, printers, hard drives, etc......in any order that you want
Wait a full minute
Start the modem, and let it run by itself for 2-3 minutes
Start the next device connected to the modem and let it run a full minute
Keep starting devices one at a time about a minute apart until the entire network is back up

Why does it say "unsupported language/platform" when I try to download Acrobat Standard? I have the latest updates of IE and Google Chrome and have tired both.

Adobe creative cloud has stopped working, all my individual programmes from adobe open and work fine, but when I try to open adobe cloud it starts to open then says adobe cloud has stopped working, looking for a solution then shuts down, I can not open it at all.
