I got locked out of my iphone 4 and the only laptop I synced it to is gone, how do I unlock it now?

I changed my password when i was half asleep, now i dont remember it, and it said i have to connect to itunes. BUUTT the only device i synced/back-up/started the iphone on was my brother's laptop, but it's sadly gone. NOW im trying to restore it on a computer (a very old [windows 7, got it like 6 years ago] computer). but its data is too full to restore my iphone. IF youre gonna accuse me of stealing please dont i did not steal, i got it september 29-30, 2012 from my aunt as a present. -.-
Please help me i really need it everything i need is on this phone

Start iTunes on the computer you used to setup/backup the iPhone, connect the USB end of the cable to the computer, then while holding the home button on the iPhone connect the dock connector end to the iPhone. That will put you in recovery mode and iTunes should see the iPhone. Then proceed to restore from backup as that will remove the passcode and allow you to access the iPhone.

Do you have OS X and OS 9 installed on your Mac? If so, startup with the Option key depressed. This will open the Startup Manager window. Select the OS you want to start from & click the right arrow.

Why can't you update?
There should be nothing preventing the update from 6.1.3 or 6.1.2 or even from 5 directly to 7.
What happens when you try to update?
Have you tried to Update through a computer running the most up top date version of iTunes?

This wouldn't be an issue if I could find the serial number. However, since this is an IPhone 3, I don't know if the serial code is on the outside of the device. I set my password, then when I tried it, it wouldn't let me in. I checked on the back of the device to find the serial number, however, it doesn't seem to be printed.
It says: 'Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China. Model Number: ***** FCC ID: ********* IC ID: ****-******'
I do not know if the FCC ID or the IC ID is the serial number or not. I need the serial number to get service, and I need service to get the serial number. That's my issue.
My computer, for whatever reason, also cannot download ITunes. Although I know there is a way to do 'recovery mode' with connecting the phone to ITunes, I'm having trouble doing that.

My suggestion:
1) Always using MAC AIR with the power plug in.
2)Don' let the power level of battory fall under 30% percentage.
3)If the MAC can't be recharged now, just let it be with power plugged, WAIT...

You have to connect with your Apple account and the Store will change in what is yours. it will shows you that you can only purchase stuff in your country.
