hello, when this is happening after you've already updated firefox with your admin account, try to delete the ''updates'' folder and ''active-update.xml & updates.xml'' within the %localappdata% folder of your restricted account like it is described in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update#Software_Update_not_working_properly

This device doesn't have a camera in it. When this happens, (not always)I can't update my iPod, no matter how many times I try to connect it. I have an old Nano that has never had this problem at all. Can anyone tell me what to do about this?

When I go to my folders in the doc, the fan feature is not there. It stays in grid. I can click list. Once in list (and list only), the fan option returns. However when I click it, it just goes to automatic. My folders just have 3 items or less in them.

Is the Dock on the bottom or the side? Fan is not an option with it on the side.

If you can't install on top of the current installation then you need to delete or rename the current Firefox program folder to do a clean install.
It is possible that your security software is using or locking files, so you can try to temporarily disable that software during the installation.

When I try to open iPhoto a box comes up that says "You can't open the application because it may be damaged or incomplete." I just scanned some pictures in, and then this happened.

Does anyone know what to do if you try to open iPhoto and the box comes up and says "You can't open the application iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete." Previous to this I added some pictures and documents that were scanned from my Lexmark all-in-one. Now I can't open iPhoto.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

Some website will not load when their new tab comes up, just a blank page that says done on the bottom

Have downloaded Mountain Lion on my 2010 Mac Mini. Now when starting up, after a while I get a message that says, "You must restart your computer." I do that but get the same message again and again. Any ideas? Thanks!

I am having issues trying to start up with Mountain Lion on my 2010 Mac Mini. Here's the scenario:
1) After starting up, I get the usual gray screen with Apple logo.
2) After a few minutes, a darker gray screen scrolls down and in the middle of this is a black dialogue box with reversed (white) text. This text, in multiple languages, reads: "You need to restart your computer." Then it goes on to instruct on how to shut it down and restart it.
3) I follow this instruction, but get the same dialogue box over and over agin.
Any ideas?

If you can't boot in the usual way, try a safe boot. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.

I cannot update my Add-Ins. I always got the error: Unexpected installation error -203 when installing add-ons. I found a workaround for Windows but I have MacOS. Can you help me?

When signing on computer, I continue to get a box that says " you are not signe on as an administrator, sign off and sign back in as administrator" I am the administrator. What can I do to correct this, and get rid of that box?

Not being signed on as administrator prevents me from linking and /or connecting, as well as sending certain mail and links.

I do apologise to members of this forum for my display of bad temper, it was generated by a series of problems with my system and this one from Adobe just took the biscuit and I thought I had finally reached Adobe. My fingers are poised over the phone this morning awaiting the start of the working day.
One thing that I cannot explain is that this series of trial programs, not clear in the updater, from Adobe is that it seems to have damaged my copy of Elements 10. I cannot put text onto pictures. I have tried uninstalling and reinstaling Elements 10 to no avail. Anyway we will see what they say.

I'm having some trouble with Facebook for iPhoto. I recently migrated my buisness profile to a Page, per Facebook's rules, so when I log-in, I only have my Page. I connected the e-mail and password with iPhoto and have been trying to upload pictures. The pictures go to iPhoto, and they pend and then get approved. However, they do no show up on my Page, and when I try to click on the album through iPhoto is just says 'content not available.'
Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
