I have $17.17 in my old itunes account can i transfer this to my new one?

i made about 6/7 purchases when all of a sudden i was asked to answer security questions. i have been trying to make purcahses but i am required to answer the security questions, i cannot remember the answers and the reset security email keeps getting sent to my old email account which i can no longer access. My sister set up this account for me an i have no idea what she has done, i sign in with ym yahoo account but the reset email keeps getting sent to my old university email which has been deactivated. is there anyway i can have the reset email sent to the email account i am using now or can i transfer this reamining money on to my new itunes account?

You need to contact Apple. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.
If it matters, the iTunes Store staff can put the balance from a completely unspent gift card back onto it; otherwise, the store credit can't be transferred.

- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup
Note that the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.

Any iPhone that lists the same email will receive the same texts. This has to be changed in order to stop receiving on all devices.

The second link in ingo's response is key. If you husband syncs his device on the same computer, whether under the same apple I'd or not, you can share music( each pick their own based on what they want to carry around) and pictures, and apps.
Updating apps can get tricky, as they will only update to the original apple id that bought them. But music is fine.
You may need to authorize the new computer if he will be using a seperate apple id. And make sure you don't just sync everything, or one device or the other will get wiped. If you want to sync only music, they'll that to I tunes in the tab setting for that device.

Yes, you can use the apps from both accounts on the same iPad. You will both need to authorize each others iTunes account for use in each others computer account. You may authorize up to five Macs/PCs to use stuff from your account and that computer can then transfer the stuff to up to 10 iOS devices.
Open iTunes in your account and have your wife sign into her iTunes account in the iTunes app. First authorize your computer account to use her iTunes stuff from the iTunes Store menu. Then have your wife download all of the iOS apps that you want to use into iTunes. Now you do the same in her computer account.
Remember that only you can update apps acquired with your iTunes account and vice versa. So you will need to either sign into iTunes on the computer or directly on each others iPad to update any apps that need it. It is a little confusing at first, but you get the hang of it quickly.

Whenever a menu choice is grayed out, that is because you have Restrictions turned on in Settings. Be sure to turn it off.
You are confusing an itunes store account with an icloud account. You two can continue using the same ID for itunes (thus sharing purchased music, apps, etc.), but you really should have separate accounts (different IDs) for icloud, since an account is intended for one user to keep his/her devices in sync.
To create a new icloud account, go to
http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Then go to Settings>icloud and scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Account. (have restrictions turned off) That will disconnect the device from the account but will not delete data in icloud or other devices. Then sign in using the new ID.

Yes.
Connect the shuffle to your Mac, launch iTunes.
From the iTunes menu bar click File > Sync iPod
If the music stored on the iPod touch you will need to transfer iTunes purchases to the Mac first then sync the shuffle.

Im currently sharing an account & have been for some time. but recently we have been having a slight problem with it all.
My apps are downloading on to his computer & his on mine.
I have decided to create my own itunes account but from what i here i will have to buy all my apps again, which seems silly.
Is there anything that i can do about this?
Can i even change the email on the current account & the payment deatils so i can claim it? seeing as i have the most apps this would seem the option but then is it even possible?

You can't transfer an acocunt's balance to another account.
You might be able to re-enable that account via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Store on iOS 6+) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
For the security questions, if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page should let you reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

When i send an imessage to another person with imessage, my husband also receives the message, even though it was not sent to him. We have always been on the same itunes account and not had this problem, however, when i added the ipad, this started.

When I send an imessage on my ipad to someone, my husband also gets the message, even though he was not selected as a receipient. This just started when I got my ipad and sent a message for the first time. As a side note, my daughter received an itouch and both my husband and i were getting all messages she sent, no matter which one of us they were sent to. I turned her imessage off. I do not want him receiving all imessages that I send, this will get very annoying to him.

You can have a separate AppleID only for iMessage and keep using the other one for iTunes.
Just change the AppleID used for iMessage in Settings > Messages > Receive At

Okay so about 2 years ago, I went to my friend's house so that she could put music on my iPod and ever since then I've had an iTunes account through them (using their apple id to have a playlist, get apps, etc.) but recently I had tried to get a new app and when I entered the password for their account, it said that it was an incorrect password. I tried the password multiple times to see if I maybe typed it wrong but still there was no luck so my guess is that they changed the password forgetting that I was using the account, too.

I'm not using their money like I don't have any of their songs or apps. Everything that I have I downloaded it myself. The apps are no problem if they can't be transferred because they're all free ones I just want to know if there's a way to sync the songs on my iPod that I physically downloaded myself to my new iTunes account.
