I have a MacBook Pro 10.6.8, 2.66 Ghz, 8GB memory 1067Mhz running Snow Lepard. I am going mad with trying to organise emails and cross reference to file documents, also the first model iPad.
Does anybod know if there is any softeware - pages or otherwise that can copy emails automatically to document files and insert them in dated order and also that the file can be reviewed like a book by flicking from bottom right hand corner iPad book style.
Please help me run my contracts easily, it shouldn't be difficult in this day and age.
I currently use Apple 'Mail' and microsoft word but am considering any new software that can organise and integrate mail better. I use photo inserts and scanned documents and excel spreadsheets.
No, I don't know about that kind of software. It isn't Pages anyway. You need somekind of database.

I have a macbook pro 13" with intel i5 2.3GHz processor. I want to know if my mac will be able to handle Battlefield 3 smoothly. I just want to play without any lag (I'll use Windows vista on parallels). I don't exactly know how turbo boost 2.0 works either. Or if it'll help.

Does anybody know any software for the Mac that I can run round robin, single and double elimination tournaments? I help run tournaments but using excel for pool play and the web for bracket play, but if wifi is not available I have no way of running brackets for prize play. Can some one help point me in the direction of software that I can use locally on my Mac Pro.

New MacBook- Can't send email. I've changed ports and still the same thing
Hello. I just got my MacBook and I can receive email fine, but I can't send emails. I read the forums and was advised to change my port from 25 to 587 or 143. I'm not sure how someone determines what port I'm suppose to be using? The error I receive is that port 587 or 143 has timed out.

does your smtp server need authentication? does it use ssl?
port 587 usually does work if 25 doesn't but those are the 2 main ports used, if neither works verify what port your ISP is using -
I called Verizon prior to travelling abroad and asked to turn roaming on. As of today, 4 days later, I have no service. I do not have a landline to call support. GlobalServices email does not work... Does anybody know how to reach customer support via email?

Just found this solution on another website. I tried it and it works. No more polar bears and Savannahs!
Apparently if you put it in the folder called "Desktop Pictures" it will work.
So, copy whatever folder of pictures you would like to use as your screensaver and then go to:
Macintosh HD>Library > Desktop Pictures
Paste your folder into this folder called "Desktop Pictures".
You may have to enter the administrator code (the password you use to open your mac usually).
Then, go back to System Preferences, go to Desktop and Screensaver, click on the Screensaver tab on the top, go to the drop down menu beside "Source" (under the picture) and click on "Choose Folder". Navigate to the Macintosh HD>Library>Desktop Pictures and then click on the folder you just pasted in there. Click "Choose" and you're all set. -

Have you tried when connected to another network?
Have you tried deleting the account from the iPod and reentering the settings since it is easy to make an error.
