I have a problem running linear SWF's in Dreamweaver

I have about a day to fix a problem I am having.
Basically i created a short story in Flash and linked each SWF file to the next scene via buttons, to make it as quick loading as possible. When previewed in Flash to see if it works, it works fine. When each SWF is previewed in a Browser, it works fine.
Scene1 -> Scene2 -> Scene3, and so on.
It worked fine when i previewed it in Flash, but as soon as i place the SWF in Dreamweaver, it plays the 1st scene automatically, but won't play the linked SWF when i click on the next button (When previewing)..
Any ideas?

Most likely the problem is that the paths to the 2nd, 3rd, etc .swfs is not correct.
This is a very common problem when using .swfs and other Flash assets.
All of the SWF files are in the same folder
whether or not the .swfs are in the same folder is not at all important,
you MUST have all 5 in the same folder
actually you can place the .swf files where ever you want.You could even place them in 5 different folders if you want. The main thing to remember is that when you call or link to each .swf, you link as though the .swf in in the same folder as the Web page... NOT the actual, physical location of the .swf.
When previewed in Flash to see if it works, it works fine. When each SWF is previewed in a Browser, it works fine.
While it may seem counterintuitive, because they work in Flash and the Web browser is an indication that the pathing is WRONG!! as odd as that may seem!
The reason the links work when tested in Flash is that the pathing is assuming that all the .swfs are in the same folder, so then path from one to another is... as you say
Scene1 -> Scene2 -> Scene3, and so on.
but that is NOT the correct pathing relative to using .swfs on a Web page outside the folder the .swf files are in.

Sure, that's because you know that from the Web paqe the path to the .swf is..."/flash_folder/scene1.swf" (or whatever the actual pathing is).
But the path from "scene1.swf" to "scene2.swf" is NOT as you diagramed above, rather you need to path relative to the Web page, since "scene1.swf" is now (in effect) located on the Web page.
So the correct path from scene1 to scene2 would be ..."/flash_folder/scene2.swf", then from scene2 to scene3 is similarly pathed, etc.
When all is said and done and the navigation is correctly pathed, when testing the .swfs directly in Flash... the links WILL NOT WORK!! Why, that's because the pathing from one scene to another is coded in the .swf as though the .swf is located in the same folder as the Web page.
And just a slight clarification on relative verses absolute addresses.
Relative addresses declare a path reltive to the physical location of the file. So "relative" (or from the location of) the scene1.swf, the path to scene2.swf is simply "scene2". The path relative to (or from the location of) the Web page might be "/flash_folder/scene2.swf"
Absolute addresses on the other hand decribe the physical location of a file on a Web server and include the http://www.mysite.com part of the path.
../secondscene/swf/2.swf' - this is absolute linking
is not really an absoloute address, it's a relative address (which may or may not be root relative)... saying that from this location (relative to this location), go up one folder level then into the "secondscene" folder, then into the "swf" folder and find the "2.swf" file.
The actual absolute address for that file would be
http://www.mysite.com/secondscene/swf/2.swf'
Using absolute addresses are useful on dynamic Web sites like WordPress if for example you have a file that you want to access from many location or folder levels in the site.
Absolute addressing would also be useful for you if, for example, you wanted your scene linking .swf pathing scheme to work from different sub folder levels on your site. The root relative pathing shown above would not work for example from this page:
www.mysite.com/about_us/friends/meet_us.html
you would have to create anew pathing layout.
Using absolute pathing to the .swfs on the other hand would allow the browser to find all the .swfs regardless of where you place the link to the .swf on the entire Web site. The "Absolute" path or URL to that .swf is always:
http://www.mysite.com/secondscene/swf/2.swf'
You can even use absolute links on a completely different Web site and still find the .swf (like YouTube embed code, etc.).

I can run everything through the usb port, including another manufacturer's 4G stick. The 4G stick that doesnt work on my Air works on my son's. The only difference I can find? Mavericks!

Do you have another stick / thumb drive you can verify your USB port with?
Stick with Sandisk or otherwise reputable memory sticks for your Macbook.
What do you mean by "another manufacturer"? Apple doesnt make thumb drives, .....no computer mfg. makes them, however HP has their name on one

I have serious problems with Muse swf files containing movies. How I can fix them?

I created swf format documents with InDesign. These documents contain movies in mp4 or flv format. When I put these documents in Muse I programmed processes work perfectly except the films, which are not displayed. I have observed that in the folder that is generated when exporting as HTML does not contain any video files swf containing original documents. Please, I need a solution. Thank you!

Well, whenever i start AE. And and it goeas on like "loading", but when it comes on Initalizing MediaCore it stops "loading" and it doesn't start. I double click on it and it crashes. It used to work before! Thanks!

You need to provide system information. as a start, trash the prefs and manualyl flush the meduia cache. also update/ un-update your graphics driver and reinstall Quicktime. Also run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and reinstall AE.

The Enable Communications Bypass VI sounds like a VI that is only included with Traditional or legacy ELVIS designed to work with the first generation ELVIS unit, not the ELVIS II/II+ or myDAQ. It sounds like the inverted pendulum trainer you have is for use with ELVIS I. In the LabVIEW Loading dialog, do you see the full path for where it's looking for the VI? Can you provide that full path? If the inverted pendulum trainer is designed to work with the older ELVIS unit, there may be a newer version that supports ELVIS II.

Does this program have problems running under Parallels / XP ?

I have no problem running this same program under Windows 7, but just tried running it under Parallels/Windows XP. I imported a Photoshop file and I get the "file not found" images for my layers and then when I try to run it for the heck of it, I get an error. This is what it all looks like:

First if you don't have Windows on your machine UnInstall the Virus Software, you don't need it.
You really didn't need to reinstall the OS the problem is with the Software, Word, and Chrome.
After you downloaded Mavericks the software didn't work because the developers of both Word, and Chrome have not updated there software to be compatible with the new Operating System. You will need to keep checking with both of there web sites and there support or downloads to see when they will offer a fix for there software. It is not the fault of Mavericks it is the Software.

Problems running Flash Builder 4.6 profiler

I have a problem running Flash Builder profiler. When I click "Profile" it starts my web application, but nothing else happens inside Flash Builder itself - no new data appears in Profiler perspective, Flash Builder itself doesn't show any sign of doing something.
My mm.cfg contains the next line: "PreloadSwf=C:/flash builder workspace/.metadata/.plugins/com.adobe.flash.profiler/11/ProfilerAgent.swf?host=localhost &port=9999"
Additional details:
OS: Windows 7
Flash Builder version: 4.6
Tested web browsers: Firefox, IE 8 - the same problem in both of them
Flash player versions: ActiveX/Plug-in Version:11.7.700.169
I made sure that ProfilerAgent.swf indeed exists in the location defined in mm.cfg. In addition, I tried to change port 9999 to other ports (both in mm.cfg and in Flash Builder). I also verified that the location of ProfilerAgent.swf appears in trusted locations of Flash Player.
I would be very grateful if someone could help me to solve this problem.

Re-start Eclipse as recommended.
I obtained it from Adobe and installed it using the Help > Install software option, but without unzipping it. Maybe that was it.
Now I've done a clean installation and it works perfect. I did it with administrator permissions, don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I read it somewhere and did so just in case!

Problem running BI template installer after upgrade to 2004s

After upgrading our Portal from EP6 to EP7 I have a problem running the BI template installer. The failure occures right at the beginning. The installer is looking for SLD related parameters in the 'CTC> Propertysheet SystemProperties'.
But there are only three parameters in the sheet :
HOST, SYSTEM_ID, INSTANCE_ID.
If you instal a new 2004s system you see much more entries in the 'Propertysheet SystemProperties'.
My question is how to add these missing entries into the 'Propertysheet SystemProperties'.

Actually there are only two things to manually fix after the CTC template run, which is mentioned in the Blog:
- check/correct the following settings in the NetWeaver Administrator for evaluate_assertion_ticket and ticket according SAP Note 945055
- the entry in table RSPOR_T_PORTAL for Platform and PDF fonts
If you uncertain, you can remove the created objects as stated in the Document http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-11607 => Page18 in the Notes Section. the CTC template is creating these objects and entries again.

Having problem running an application

I have recently installed jdk 1.2.2 and i have no problem running applet but when i try to run an application i get the message 1 error can't find<filename> . java.
The path in autoexec.bat is fine. JRE File is include in my file jdk1.2.2.
I have installed and deinstalled it a couple of time and can't make it work.
Could someone help me please!!

doesn't sound like a path problem at all. you say when you try to RUN the app you get a message can't find filename.java. When you're running the app you run the binary class file i.e. java MainClass.class. If you're compiling the app you would do javac MainClass.java. Clarify your situation further if this does not help you out.

Problems running Photoshop CS6 under OS 10.8 Mountain Lion

Since updating the OS from 10.6.7 to OS 10.8 on iMacs (21" and 24" Intel 2.4GHz) I have experienced problems running Photoshop. The app boots up fine and I can start a project as normal, but when I click on a tool to change it's usage I get the spinning beach ball, this lasts about 5 - 10 seconds and then the tool drop down menu appears. After this, I get the beach ball appearing every few minutes as I try to work, and the only way to get Photoshop running efficiently is to close it down and then restart.
Any ideas as to the cause? I've read on forums from both Adobe and Apple that apparently there are no compatibility issues between Mountain Lion and CS6 but I never had this problem previously under Snow Leopard.

The next two remedial steps would be to reset all tools by right-clicking here:
and if that does not resolve the problem, reset Preferences;
To reset Preferences:
If Photoshop is already open on your screen, close it (Quit). Then hold down Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and start Photoshop.
A dialog box will pop up asking if you want to delete the existing Preferences file (the "Settings"). Click Yes in the dialog box. The existing Preferences file will be scrapped and a new one will be created.

Problem running reports

I finally configured and was able to start the reports server on my Solaris box. The listener is running. When I run a report, either by command line using rwrun60 or from a form using RUN_REPORT_PRODUCT, the report kicks off without error but will not finish. I have to kill the process, and no output results. I had no problems when running from NT, so I'd bet the problem is in the configuration not the report itself. Any ideas?

I'm still working this problem.
I have a printer configured, and have no problem generating report in character mode and send directly to printer.
I did have to add localhost access to Xwindows with
$ xhost +localhost
Now I have valid display value.
Unfortunately, still having the same problem. rwrun60 kicks off, but gets hung. I have no problems running forms on the this server. Any other ideas?

I have a problem with Safari not connecting on my IPad with WiFi

IPad 3 or 'new IPad 'with cellular data. I have a problem with the WiFi not working more than a couple of times. When I check settings the connection is still showing as strong. To regain access to the Internet, I have to turn the WiFi off and then back on. Then it will work a time or two and stop again. I don't want to have to use my data plan when I am sitting right beside the router.
The WiFi signal is good, I have two laptops in the house that have no problem running on it with no interruptions.
Appreciate any help you can supply!

I also located the below information, and it didn't fix it either.
To reset the iPad's WiFi connection, simply use the option at the top of the screen to turn WiFi off. All of the WiFi settings will disappear. Next, simply turn it back on again. This will force the iPad to search for the WiFi network again and rejoin.
If you still have problems, you can renew the lease by touching the blue button to the far right of the network's name in the list. The button has a ">" symbol in the middle and will lead you to a page with the network settings.
Touch where it reads "Renew Lease" towards the bottom of the screen. You'll be prompted to verify that you want to renew the lease. Touch the renew button.
This process is very fast, but it could correct some problems.

Has anybody else had any problems running Kaspersky Internet Security 2015?

I recently installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 on both my Macbook and iMac. Since installing it my system runs so incredibly slow that I had to turn it off. I am awaiting a response from their support but in the meantime I would like to know if anybody else has used this product and if so did you have any problems running it.
