Global succession updates are limited to 500 relationships. If more than 500 exist PLM presents a warning message and does not execute the update.
How/Where to increase the relationship count?
The message which I can see :
    Warning:
This specification has exceeded the number of parent relationships allowed by Where Used. The Where Used tool only supports up to 500 parent relationships.
    Thanks

This really brings up a larger topic around change management.
The questions you should start with is
    1. What kind of change is happening to the raw material?
    2. Will this change affect anything upstream inside or outside of PLM4P? (Will this change affect nutrition, compliance, the ingredient statement, the label etc?)
    3. Who needs to approve this change?
If they are non-material changes (changes that don't affect theoretical calculations, the ingredient statement, labeling, upstream systems that need to be notified etc) then you should be using get latest revision instead of global succession.   Get Latest Revision will automatically switch out the material with the latest approved version.  This logic is also configurable in case you need to add additional guard conditions.   We can also provide guidance around locking the get latest revision lock once a specification has reached the retired/obsolete state so changes won't occur for specifications in those statuses.
If the changes to the raw material are material changes (changes that affect calculations, labeling etc) then the change should be reflected with a copy of the specification.  Dependent specifications then need to be re-issued so calculations can be performed and the appropriate workflow reviews can occur.   Smart Issue allows for filtering based on status and should let you re-issue in smaller blocks.
Let me know more about your change management strategy, how often large material changes happen and maybe example causes for those mass changes.  We can also schedule a change management training session for everyone where we can share our vision and tools available for change management.  This topic is quite large and generally requires a lot of business process discussion beyond just the tools available.
    Thanks

If you have exhausted your free trial period on your computer, even if you didn't actually get to try it, short of wiping and reinstalling your entire system from scratch you're not going to be able to extend the trial period.  If there was a way, there would be people who would take advantage and just never subscribe.

Nothing special. You must havethe app store app installed in 10.6.8.  Find Mavericks in the app store. Downloadit. It will take a while (5.31GB) and install thi installer ion your applications folder.  Then you can proceed at your leisure.
Check hard disk space, permissions, apple-ID, retry.

  • System Update keeps failing "Package did not download" and does not show all updates

I recently installed win8 64-bit on my X1 (1294-2PG) using a clean install formatting the hard drive. Now I want to use System Update to install right drivers. Two problems occur:
System Updates fails to show all the updates available for my PC in the website. Only 2-3 updates are shown.
System Updates repeatedly fails to download the chosen updates. It seems to download most of the file when the download suddenly halts and I get the message: "1 Package did not download" or 2 or 3 depending on the number of updates.
I have tried for several days multiple times a day and even uninstalling/reinstalling System Update. The errors keeps occurring.

sorry... i can't help with why TVSU isn't successful with this driver on your machine.
as a workaround, you may wish do download it from the X1 driver matrix:

  • I have a powerbook g4 i want to upgrade to leopard where can i get the free download from ?

i would like to know where to get a free download of leopard for my powerbook g4 can someone help thank you

There is no free download of Leopard. Any offered on the internet are illegal pirated copies; reports here from people who tried them indicate that either they don't work or come with malware and misery.
We don't know where you are located but, if in the US, you can phone the Apple Store at 1-800-MY-APPLE and ask for an operating system specialists. Ask if they  have copies. Some people--not all--have been able to get 10.5 that way at a modest cost.
If they say no, you must buy it on the open market and some people are selling vaild and proper Leopard install disk sets for as much as many G4 PowerBooks are worth on the used market.

  • IPod nano does not appear in iTunes AND Mac computer - AND does NOT load

My nano worked out just fine for a month until one day - when I wanted to charge the battery - it just did not appear in iTunes, nor on my desktop. I tried the 5 Rs, but can't restore, of course, because my mac does not recognize the nano. As soon as I plug in the nano to my mac, it is stuck on "Do not disconnect" and does not charge. I'm tired of resetting and plugging the USB cable in and out. Please, help!
What else can I do? Does it make sense to send my nano back and have it inspected? Does Apple charge for technical support?
I'm thankful for any kind of reply.
    iBookG4   Mac OS X (10.4.2)

me again.. hey did you guys work out how to get around it at all? I'd so love some adivce. I think i'm going crazy ay. I've also tried all the things mentioned in the above link given by another member..with no luck. May be its possible that there's not enough space on my computers hard drive to recognise the ipod???? Plus when i did originally download the software from out of the box, it didn't allow me to select where i wanted to put this software and just said it was putting it on my hard-drive anyway. I would of liked to have positioned it somewhere, so i knew where to find it and too make sure it was all there n ok.
I look forward to hearing form ANYONE with some tips :o)
    Thanks again

  • Can you get a free download of the new Pages through the appstore if you already have an earlier version of iworks from a disk?

I have loaded mountain lion on my iMac and have an old version of iWorks on my machine.  It appears that all my Pages documents won't open unless I get the new version of Pages off the App store.  Does anyone know if that is a free download if you already have purchased iWorks previously on disk?  Thanks.

No. The iWork (no 's') apps are a separate purchase. You should not have to buy any of the '09 apps again to work in Mountain Lion, you just need to update them.
iWork '09 installed from the retail disk or from the downloaded trial must be updated through Software Update. In Mountain Lion Software Update has been "rolled into" the Mac App Store. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu just like you always have & the Mac App Store will launch. Depending on what you have that needs updating you may see two sections in the MAS window.
But, as always, if you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
Alternatively, you can download the standalone updater here.

  • FCP 7 short clip via share export keeps blinking and does not react. Thank you for your support!

Try to export renederd short clip in FCP 7 via Share, but export knob keeps blinking and does not react. Please help,
    thank you very much!

I did notice the "sequence" indicated 32 bit and all the clips, wav music, etc. are 16 bit.  Is that normal?
    May be but I would.
    • Convert all material to formats that FinalCut has easy to use and that match the Final product (Movie)
    • especially the Audio file .wma, wav etc and 32-bit - is no good start
    - convert them to .aiff 16-bit 44.1kHz or 48kHz
    • Set up a NEW Project - BUT FIRST select - right kind of project depending on material - AND FINAL MOVIE PROPERTIES.
THEN FIRST - Start a NEW PROJECT - Else it will not work.

  • Where can i get a free idvd dowload for mac os x leopard 10.5.8

My mac came without idvd loaded. Where can i get a free download for it?

There are none. You need to install it from the computer's original disks(phone AppleCare if you don't have those), or a retail iLife 09 or earlier DVD(iLife 11 requires at least 10.6.3), which are available from sources such as Amazon or eBay.

iCloud requires 10.7.2 or later. See the following about how to upgrade:
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later

             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.

If possible you need to Upgrade your current OS X  to Snow Leopard = OS X 10.6.x
It is Not available as a download... It is a Paid Upgrade.
    Do this first...
Check that your Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...
    Snow Leopard Tech Specs
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
If so... Purchase a Snow Leopard Install Disc...
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    Other countries...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
After the Successful Install, run Software Update to get the latest updates for Snow Leopard and iTunes...
You should now be able to Sync your phone.
Be sure to make a Backup of your Current System Before Upgrading...
