I've purchased the upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS6 - Trying to install, and it says the Adobe CS6 is valid - but only provides 'photoshop' options for entering my old serial number, rather than the adobe creative suite. How do I move past this so I can download it on my computer. I don't want to upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 6 - as I do not need all the programs, just photoshop. From looking online, I read forums that said this was possible. Please advise

Unfortunately that option is not possible.
You cannot upgrade a Creative Suite to a standalone product.
Creative Suites can only be upgrades to other Creative Suites.
You'll need to return Photoshop CS6 upgrade since you cannot use it.
Return, cancel, or exchange an Adobe order
Some options:
Buy a Creative Suite upgrade, or
Buy a full new copy of Photoshop CS6, or
Join the Cloud

If you are eligible for a new copy of the Teacher and Student edition, that is the way to go. It is generally cheaper to get new teacher/student versions than upgrade to a commercial version. However, with the Creative Cloud now available, I do not know if the CS 6 teacher/student versions are still available.

I bought the Teacher and Student edition (one year plan, prepaid), but after the trial expired, I cannot use any products. It asks for a serial number, which to the best of my knowledge, I never received. Is there something I missed?

Trimatirate you will need to locate the serial number you received with your license to use the software for a year. If it is registered then it will be available under your account at http://www.adobe.com/. Link error in PS CS 6 Extendet Teacher and Students edition

we have a little problem. We bought a few days ago PS CS6 Extended Teacher and Student edition and installed. We send the certificate for the teacher to Adobe. After 2 hours we became an e-mail. Into the e-mail was a link so we opened him. But now the problem: the link which was opened says we have an error and we should try it later again. After 1 day we try it again but the link says the same. We hope that you can help us.

Changing Licence to Master Pack... I currently have CS6 Production Premium Student

Would appreciate if someone could help with this. I have the above software but would love to upgrade to the master Pack so I can access InDesign CS6 Student. From what I can see the only option is to go with CC or get the Master Pack. Personally I prefer the CS6 option.
Is there an easy way to do this please.

As far as I know you can purchase an upgrade of a student version. You could upgrade from a student version, but not to one. The discount for a student version is already better than the upgrade price.

Adobe Creative Suite 6 Teacher and Student Edition install hangs 4 minutes before completion

Hi... Running OSX 10.8.5 on Macbook Pro 15inch i7 Retina Display. Have tried to look for AdobeHelp.exe blah blah in Activity Monitor to kill.... can't find unfortunatley.
Used cleaner and tried to reinstall. No luck there either.
Thinking maybe upgrading to Maverick.
Any help greatly appreciated thanks.

Apetr6 are you receiving any specific error messages when trying to install the software? I would also recommend reviewing your installation log files for errors. Please feel free to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

I received pictures in a dozen emails and saved each picture into one file in .pages. I did not import the photos before doing this and now iPhoto won't recognize the pictures because they are in a .pages file. How do I get the pics to iPhoto?

I received a dozen pictures in a few emails and I saved them all into one file in pages. I just copied and pasted. I do not have the originals any longer. Iphoto will not permit me to import the pictures as it does not recognize a .pages file, nor can I simply click and drag from the pages document to iphoto nor from pages to the desktop to iphoto. How can I save each picture I guess back into a jpeg and then import them into iphoto or have i lost them to a pages document forever? This is urgent as I need the pictures made into a book on iphoto for work by Friday!!! Please advise! Thank you.

Locate the Pages document wherever it's located on your computer and click once on it to highlight it.
Go to File > Duplicate to make a backup copy of the file.
Click once again on the file to highlight it.
Go to File > Get Info
In the "Name & Extension" category remove the ".pages" extension and put in ".zip".
Close the info window and double-click the now renamed pages file (zip file now).It will decompress into a folder which contains all the base components including all the images you added. These can be dragged onto the iPhoto icon to import them.

If you recently purchased this then it is not likely to be a valid sale/purchase. Adobe does not sell older versions of their products and no one but Adobe provides student/teacher licensing. If you purchased this some time years ago and it is only recently that you find you are not able to reactivate it with the original serial number you can try contacting Adobe Support thru chat and see if they will be willing to work with you to resolve this.

Anyways...
I recently bought the Creative Suite CS6 Production Premium as a student version.
Now, in order to get the serial number, I have to verify online.
There, I am asked about the language at one point. As I bought the software in Germany, I think you should chose "German", right?
My question is: may I also chose "English", as I'd prefer an english version?

I would choose the English version if that is what you want. If things should run afoul in trying that you can always change the language (for CS6 at least) - Order product | Platform, language swap

I have CS4 Production Premium installed and own a license for an upgrade to CS5.5 PP. I just purchased CS6 PP as an upgrade to CS5.5 PP. Can I install CS6 PP without having to install CS5.5 PP?

Yes, the only thing you should need from CS5.5 is the serial number so that you can confirm you meet the upgrade elgibility requirement when you are activating CS6.

Downgrade Lion/Mountain Lion to Snow Leopard
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer
      loads select your language and click on the Continue
      button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the
      Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the
      mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status
      of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then
      the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART
      info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on
      the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions
      from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS
      Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the
      partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on
      the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups made while on Snow Leopard, then you may do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion/Mountain Lion files.
