I have deleted every text message on my iPhone, but when I go to the usage tab in settings, it is showing that my texts are taking up 1.8 Gb of space. What gives?

That pretty much sums it up. I wanted to create some more room on my iPhone, so I went through and deleted every single message. How can they still be taking up nearly 2 Gb of space?

- Have you tried another cable?
- Another USB port?
- When you have the problem, connect it to another computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem.
- Try just restoring the iPod to factory settings/new iPod. Do not restore from backup. If you still have the problem with this and all computer that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
