Welcome to the Support Communities! I'm not sure from your post what steps you have tried, but it sounds like you may need to use recovery mode to address the issue with your unresponsive iPod touch.

You can put your iOS device into recovery mode, then restore it using iTunes.
Use recovery mode

When your device is connected, iTunes will open. You'll see a message saying that iTunes has detected an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in recovery mode.

If you put your device into recovery mode by mistake, restart it. Or you can wait 15 minutes and your device will exit recovery mode by itself.

If you go to yur account setting what do you see? The app subscription says:
• Auto-renew may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase and must be turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.

Though the font on the desktop and email programs is fine (14 or 16 point), on the google sedarch pages or any websites that are accessed via Firefox, it is tiny. What's wrong? How can I make things more legible? I am working on a laptop and followed all the instructions given in DISPLAY.

Are there other alternatives to unlock my iPod touch and reset my passcode? I have followed all instructions posted and my iPod is still disabled. Can anyone provide recommendations on this matter?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -
i have done everything i can find and think of yet its not playing i have ran out of ideas now
i have purchased the upgrade through itunes it comes up with the conect ipod touch message then says click download and install button but there isnt one then it says check summery tab but when i click update it says my ipod is up to date but its not and when i return to the itunes screen it says your perchase is being downloaded it may take 30 mins but nothing is actually downloading that i can see anyway can anyone please help ? i have left it 'downloading' for 2 hours !

I updated the latest version of itunes onto my pc (windows xp) and all of a sudden I can't open it up. Everytime I try to open it I get a window that says: "Data Execution Prevention - Microsoft Windows...To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program. Change settings." I have tried to change the settings. Uninstalled & reinstalled itunes. Updated the lates version of quicktime. Nothing has helped. If there is anyone who has a suggestion I would appreciate it. I am at my wits end with this. Thank you in advance for all your suggestions.
If anyone is looking at this and would like to know what I did to finally get it to work, I did the following: I right click on the itunes icon on my desktop.......clicked on "run as"........made sure that it ran as administrator. This finally worked for me. Hope you all find this info helpful.

I've tried for 2months to switch over to my new 4s, but every time I enter my apple ID to retrieve backup from icloud. I'm informed no back up available.
Given tried for 2months, I'm tempted to bin it and get an alternative phone.As you backup the iPhone in iTunes, it overwrites the last backup. Files are kept as they are changed, so that would explain how you get different dates in your backup folder. The only backups that are saved and not overwritten are the ones done just prior to a restore. You do have the option to go back in time on a Windows computer, however depending on the last time you set a restore point in Windows, it could be back further than you are willing to go.

I have a strong desire to use the native apps on my Mac for mail and calendar - but my new position is using Gmail.
I can send mail and calendar works fine - but I can not send mail. I have followed all the directions and still can't see to get it to work.
Is there a step I am missing? Has anyone else successfully tackled this issue?

There is no 'issue', millions of people use Gmail with a Mac, they send mail so the 'issue' is with your machine so we'll concentrate on that. Post the SMTP settings that are in use for this account, post the authentication method as well, tell me whether you have activated Google's '2 Factor' authentication method if you have. -
I have previously submitted a book for printing three different times and Apple has told me each time it's unreadable. I have previously previewed it each time before sending and it was perfect. I have followed all other directions - updated software, all other applications off etc. What am I doing wrong?

My Itunes will not launch after downloading and I have tried all the troubleshooting for itunes for Windows 7 64-bit. Do I need to system reboot my computer than try to download it again?
I'm having a very similar issue, paired with iTunes not being able to get online.
iTunes shows up in processes and then hangs at 17,000 K or so -- sometimes it will start up, but that (if it occurs) is a delay of literal hours.
Pretty meticulously went through all the 'cannot connect' trouble shooting, and have uninstalled, restarted, and then reinstalled every piece of apple software; issue is just as firm. Starting in safe mode or admin mode don't fix it; signing in as a different user doesn't fix it. -
i have not been able to download all of the additinal content for logic pro 9 ,is there a way to go back to be able to download the rest of the content?

My phone has stopped receiving a carrier or 3G signal from EE. Have decided to try and restore phone to factory settings, but it wouldn't let me unregister from iCloud - so I then followed advice on this forum which said to restore the phone using iTunes. The phone now keeps getting to a certain point in the restore and then error code '1669' appears. I have tried to restore on many occasions now and still nothing. I have followed all the steps, i.e. updated itunes, computer still no joy - can anybody help. Thanks
