As long as they don't have some sort of digital rights management that ties them to another system/app then yes.
You can add them to the Books section of your iTunes library either via File > Add File To Library (or Add Folder To Library), or by dragging and dropping them onto iTunes. If Books doesn't appear as one of your libraries on the left-hand side of your iTunes then you can add it by ticking it on the General tab in Edit > Preferences. You can then sync (via the device's Books tab) or drag them across to your iPad, in a similar way to how you sync other content.

I have exactly the same problem on my ipad. It is happening on only some contacts but, as with you, when I delete one of the contacts on the ipad, the second ipad contact and the contact on the imac are also deleted. This is even the case when I have differentiated the two contacts on the ipad and can see the one I have deleted on the ipad is not the same one as is then deleted on the imac.

Why do I have to have two versions of my videos if I want to sync them to my iPod?

I understand that in order to sync videos to my iPod Classic, I have to convert the original ones to an iPod compatable format. My issue is that I stream my video content from my iTunes to my Apple TV2 and for any iPod converted videos in my library, I now see both videos on my Apple TV2. Is there a way to not show the iPod versions in the Apple TV2?
I suppose I could delete the iPod format videos from my iTunes library after syncing but then if I ever want to sync new content to my iPod, will the videos be deleted from the iPod (since the original is no longer in the library)? I'm assuming that for videos present on the iPod, if their original is not in the library it will be removed from my iPod.
Suggestions?

I have on my windows PC Albums containing Pictures. I sync them to iPhone & iPad through iTunes. Whenever I add fresh Pictures to albums and sync them. First all are deleted and then synced fresh. Can I sync only added Pictures to albums only?

1. You sync picture A, B, C, D
2. You want to add picture E, F, G, H
3. You must sync picture A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H so that A, B, C, and D will not be deleted.

I have a mac book pro, 2006 with an 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, can I update to Lion? to use icloud.

Apple keep telling me I need to update to icloud but I'm not sure if Lion will work on my Mac. I've upgraded to snow leopard which seems to have knackered my .me or .mac account (whatever it's called now), so I don't seem to have any option but to upgrade to Lion if I every want to see my emails again.
Apple say I must have a Intel Core 2 processor for Lion to work...... at least I think that's what they say.

If you have a Core Duo model then you cannot upgrade to Lion. You can upgrade to Snow Leopard, but iCloud is not available for Snow Leopard.
Open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. Look for the Model ID in the displayed information. If you have a MacBookPro 2,1 or later then you have a Core 2 Duo model and can upgrade to Lion.

Serial numbers for older versions do not work across platforms.
At one time, when the product was current, you could get Adobe to switch you to the other platform, but I don't know whether Adobe will do that for old versions. I do know it's not going to work if you try to use your Windows license for a Mac installation.

Movies are not part of the automatic downloads feature. Apps, music and books only.
If you live in the U.S. you can download many Movies again for free using the same Apple ID that you bought the movie with. If you do not live in the U.S, that feature is not available. Not all Movies are available at this time either.
You can transfer the movie to iTunes on your computer and then sync it to the iPad if you like.

I downloaded a PDF viewer on my iPad and via itunes I can download the PDF to the iPad although for some reason the iPad comes up as 'RmoteTV' with a sub-directory of 'Books'. The 'PDFReader' app doesn't seem to find the file.

You can use the free iBooks to read PDF files. Download the app, use itunes to transfer the data then open the PDFs.
There are other pdf readers as well. I see good reader recommended and I'm sure there are more.

Hi,
you don't need MobileMe or anything fancy. I personally sync my Outlook calendar and my Outlook address book with three computers (two at the office and one at home)and besides I run Office 2003 on one, Office 2007 on the other and Office 2010 on the third, so it can't get more complicated than that, but it works 100%.
First sync Outlook with iTunes on one computer, having done that when you try to sync it to another machine, iTunes will recognize that it is synced with another computer and ask you if you want to merge the data, say yes, That's all there is to it.
It does not work for music as you rightly say but as far as Calendars and Contacts are concerned it's flawless and transparent.

You'll need to get it all onto one iTunes collection on your Mac Pro, then sync the devices to that. iTunes only lets you transfer purchases from a device, otherwise you have to use third party software.
I guess you could also look into getting iTunes Match.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

An iOS device can only be synced with one iTunes library.

Yes. Your G4 shouldn't have any difficulty connecting to a Wi-Fi network provided by the latest 802.11ac AirPorts as they support the earlier radio modes that the G4 uses.
