I have no little x in the corner of my icons to delete them. So I can't delete anything off my phone.

I can't delete any icons off my home screen. When I press and hold the icon they enter wobble mode but there is no x in the top corner to delete them. Any ideas?

Check out your "Parental Control" settings. Sometimes people accidentally turn on "Restrict Deleting Apps".

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.

Hi The next thing to do is to Restore back to Factory Settings this will get rid of any bugs . After Restore use same Apple ID /Password then you should get all your Apps & data back If you still have this problem make an Appointment at Apple Store . Cheers Brian

Little warp on the corner of the top case

I was working in the library today and someone kicked the power cable which caused the fail down of my MBP just purchased a month ago from apple store, now there's a little warp on the corner of the top case, not too bad but make me feel super weird.
Everything else's working fine now but I just can't handle the little warp, and it wasn't the first time that the megasafe failed to protect my computer, it fail several times and finally it hit the ground right on the corner and warped.
I just booked a call from apple tomorrow morning and see what I can get... I'm sure the topcase thing's not gonna be a super big deal for them to fix or replace since the warp is quite small but I really don't want to spent a buck for it... Since I'm having a very tight budget now for my new school's coming.

Dents from drops and other impacts are not covered by your warranty. If you want your top case replaced (which is the only way to fix it), you'll have to pay.

I Keep getting a little photo in the corner of my photos that I export

When I export photos sometimes a sometimes it puts a little photo in the corner of the main photo. this little picture is identical to the main photo and just sits in the top right. If you post your email for me I'll send you an example. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Are you using 1.4? If so, kill it and get 1.4.1 which should correct that bug.

They will only be where you put them If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country. You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located.

I would just explain that this just started happening, that nothing has changed on the phone, that it is an original iPhone and I wondered if they are implementing a change in coverage with their Edge network in my area.
If you restore your phone, you will be given an option to back up your phone at the beginning of the process (see step 6 here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414). You will be given the option to restore to that backup at the end of the restore process. Your messages are stored in the backup so restoring to the backup will return the messages to your phone. Be sure to import your photos and videos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and back up your contacts somewhere before restoring your phone as these sometimesget lost in the restore process.

No iTunes content is included in any iPhone backup. If the playlists are not in your iTunes library, on your computer, they are gone.

Well, go to a library or friends house & download file. Do not expand. copy to zip drive. etc.

That is not a practically empty xinitrc - that file only needs one line: exec WM. Other things are entirely optional, and some of them very useful, but I'd encourage you to stick with the simplest xinitrc that will do what you require.
Is slim involved? Probably. That is the source of many problems. But to start narrowing this down, I have 3 suggestions:
1) temporarily (at least) change your inittab to default to runlevel 3 ... actually, is it currently set to 5 or 3? if it is currently 3 that would explain why slim doesn't start.
2) at a tty in runlevel 3 use "xinit" instead of "startx". Startx is fine most of the time, but it is essentially just a complex wrapper for xinit. That complexity can often iadd useful functionality, but it *always* makes troubleshooting more difficult. So for now just use a vanilla 'xinit'.
3) remove dbus-launch from your exec line in xinitrc. This is done by console-kit so it is redundant and potentially problematic. Further BOTH of these are taken care of by slim, so I'd even suggest getting both a jump start on being ready for slim and simplifying troubleshooting by removing both of them. Just make that line "exec openbox-session"
Edit: adding one more:
4) temporarily switch out openbox-session for openbox. I suspect the reason feh's setting of the background is getting overridden is due to a script or setting in openbox's autostart settings - many of these are only invoked when "openbox-session" is called, while "openbox" starts *just* the window manager itself.

No. You can turn your 6G Nano in to be recycled at your local Apple Store for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new one. Otherwise, your only other option would be to sell the iPod on Craigslist or eBay and use the proceeds from the sale towards the purchase of the new 7G nano.
