I have restored my Ipad 2 back to the original settings, but now I am having trouble downloading all of my apps and updating them. However, if I am connected to my laptop; I can copy the apps back onto my Ipad, but that doesn't solve the update problem. PLEASE HELP!!!
If you have enabled iCloud and PhotoStream, you may be able to find them there.

I forgot the passcode to turn off restrictions. I have restored my iPad back to the factory settings and then synced it with the latest backup. The restrictions are still on and it is asking for the passcode. Can someone tell me how to get that off.
The only option is to wipe the device clean and restore it to factory settings. Hope you have a backup.
Follow the instructions in iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 to restore the device to factory settings.
Once you have setup the device as a new one, you can then sync it back with your iTunes account and all your music, apps, contacts and any other content sync'ed with iTunes will be loaded on the device. Any content that is stored only on the device and not sync'ed with iTunes, like app logins or data, will be lost during this process. Be forewarned that this is a long process and can take a couple of hours or more to complete. This can be painful, but it is necessarily so to prevent users from working around the security settings. After the restore is complete, you can setup a new Restrictions passcode. Make a note of the passcode to avoid this situation in future.

You can download everything you purchased from the iTunes Store without having to pay again:

Here is the procedure for your reference, using iTunes 10.7. The procedure and screenshots for newer versions are contained in the above link.
This assumes what you purchased is still available in the Store.
Open iTunes and click on iTunes Store on the left
On the right you will see this
Sign in with your Apple ID, then click on "Purchased" (with the orange blob)
On the summary page that appears select the tab "Not on This Computer" on the right.
On the list that appears, select what you want and then click the "Download" button. -
Hi thee. As logical as I can be. I export a file back into my folder as a PSD. I then export that file to PS. Work on it, save and return it to LR. The file goes to the bottom of the folder from where I have to put it back in the original place, taking time and driving me slightly mad. Why does the file not go back to where it came from please? Thanks Tim
Umm, but this folder is an amalgam of two cameras and five cards, and I want them in capture order! Thanks for trying though Jim.

Oh and the bizarre thing was that when I opened iBooks for the first time after the restore it showed all the books in the open collection and then they vanished in front of my eyes!

I'm trying to restore my iPhone 5 to the original settings because it did not sync my contacts from my last phone (it synced from my husband's phone instead). I am trying to delete everything so I can back it up from my previous phone and not my husband's. I keep getting a message saying that files were corrupt so it couldn't restore settings. Ideas?

but have still been unable to backup data using the third party software.
TouchCopy tells me I have no photos or Video ad won't alllow me to copy any of the critical files e.g. Notes, Calendar, Contacts, Messages, etc.
Anyone have any other suggestions for backing up my iPhone? Or help using TouchCopy?
If I am ever able to get TouchCopy to work, should I be using Copy to iTunes or Copy to PC option?

Open the hard drive by double clicking its icon on the desktop (assuming you have these turned on to show). Double click the Users folder. Is there more than one account there? Is your original account still there? -

If this happen recently, then Reset the iPod by
Pressing Menu and Center Button for about 10 secs till the Apple Logo comes ON then release the buttons.
Select your language.
Check the sound.

What is your connection via speedtest.net ?
Check istumbler or netstumbler to verify network interference
Make sure DNS is set correctly (settings - general - network - configure DNS - automatic) -

Also we want to double-click the Home button and swipe the Task Bar to the right.

If I restore my macbook pro back to the factory settings with the OS X install disc, it came with Snow Leopard. Would I have to pay to go back to Mavericks OS?
If you have Mavericks now, why not just boot into the Recovery partition, erase the disk with Disk Utility, and reinstall Mavericks? Command and R at boot should get you to the Recovery partition.

I purchased a new iphone 4 last week and it has been working fine until yesterday the screen was freezing. Today I have restored factory settings and restored settings from a back up from a previous iphone 3G. The restore has not fixed the freezing issue. Any thoughts?

No matter how many things I delete off of my 4th generation iPod it continues to tell me that I don't have any memory. I've deleted 2 apps and over 20 pictures, but when I go to the settings, it says I have 0 bytes available. (Which doesn't make any sense because that would mean the apps and pictures that I deleted did not take up any memory, which we all know is sort of impossible.) I've never restored my iPod, and I would like to know whether doing so would solve the problem or if it will just make it impossible to get my stuff back since deleting things does not seem to free up space.
If you are unable to get the iPod into Disk Mode to try and restore it, it's a very good indication, as mentioned in the article, that the iPod's hard drive is damaged and in need of replacement either by Apple or a third party repair company.
