What happens when you connect the iOS device to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

I had a similar problem myself. This is what helped me.
I went to the App store app, scrolled to the bottom, logged out of the account, re logged in with my Apple ID. Then went back to app updates. Once I put in my ID password all was fine. -

if it doesnt match that means your iPhone is not provisioned for the carrier you are trying to use. Your iPhone would need to be unlocked in order to use on other carriers. You will need to contact your carrier to see if this iPhone is unlocked py providing them the IMEI. If the iPhone is not unlocked you will need to contact the carrier that the iPhone is locked to to see if they will unlock the device to use on another carrier.

Again, that's not a problem - if you purchase Mountain Lion through the App Store, it's been updated to 10.8.2 - and when there are other updates available, you can just download and install them as well.
Just go to the App Store and purchase and install ML. Then run Software Update (Apple menu) to see if there are any updates available for your machine. I keep my System Preferences>Software Update prefs set to check automatically -
Some people would rather check manually. No big deal, just buy it and install it.

DetailsWhat you should see on a restart is a black screen followed by a screen with the Apple (at which point you let go of the two buttons). There is no progress bar, just the Apple. The Apple will stay there for 15 seconds or so, then the "Slide to Unlock" screen will redisplay.
But, I don't think the reset will fix it for you. I just tested it, and it comes back on with the zoom still on. The only way to get it to zoom out is the tapping with the 3 fingers.
I said to double-tap....MY BAD! You need to triple-tap with three fingers!
Try that and see if it will display the zoom menu for you, or if it will zoom back out.

using itunes and was notified i had to update to IOS7. During this update my Iphone 4 froze, screen shows a charger lead with an arrow towards an itune symbol. nothing works now and I tunes does not recognise. Gone through steps in help but no joy. Can anyone help?????

I was downloading a book and the screen has frozen cant get back to Library Can any help?
I only got my Ipad yesterday. Was downloading a couple of books this went well until the fourth book - the scrren has now frozen and no matter what I do will not return to the Library.
Try closing the iBooks app completely and then see if it works after you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e.not with the iBooks app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the iBooks app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

Have a hp 2600 and looking at getting an express unit, will it work?

Currently have the hp colour laserjet 2600 at my parents running through their wireless router / modem. Works wonderfully after upgrading to OS 10.5 (wouldnt work before, grrrr).
Anyway! Have now moved in with my boyfriend and we have just changed our internet to cable internet and so now need a new router as we both want wireless printing / internet access. I also want to bring my lovely printer out with me.
Looking at getting an express unit as had one a while ago and the airtunes was so handy that I want it back!
Our cable internet only comes with a modem so we need to buy a router, hence why we are looking at the express unit.
If I buy an express unit will it work with the 2600n via the usb cable? Or will I have to buy a proper wireless router so that we can print wirelessly via the ethernet cable?
Dont want to buy the express unit if it wont work with my printer!

Many printers do work and other printers are always getting new driver updates.
The Express is a nice unit and is the only one with Airtunes.

Settings > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > then switch this to Off it is on.
If this is not on, then please go through all the Accesssibility controls and make sure that they are all set to Off. From you description, I would guess that one of them is on. -
I just bought a used iphone 3gs, (very new to the smart phone thing), and i set the phone up as a straight talk phone. I can send picture messages to other iphones but not to anyone else? I already made sure that my sms setting is on and it is, so is my imessage , mms and group message. anyone with any advise would be greatly appreciated
More than likely the problem is with the provider. You will need to check with them to find out what settings need to be on the phone to support MMS. You need to contact Straight Talk. SMS and MMS are carrier functions. The only settings on the phone are the ones you have mentioned, with the exception of APN settings, which are generally taken care of by the phone's carrier settings. I'm not aware of a carrier file for Straight Talk.
