I have to tell Firefox that I am logging in from "home" every time I log into Facebook. Firefox will not let me unclick ""Send me an email" under Login Notifications in Facebook "My Account" settings. Why? (to both questions)

It started last week - I normally use Chrome to play my games in Facebook - but I started getting "Sorry, this feature isn't available
right now"..... When I used IE..... no problem - a friend said to install Foxfire, which I did, but I made the mistake of having my bookmarks and whatever transferred from Google as it is the browser I used most often and it has all my bookmarks, but
now it does the same thing when I try to log into Facebook. - I have no problem with any other website. I deleted both Google and Foxfire and tried to start over - I cleared History and checked all the boxes hoping that this would help - but it did not.
I can't understand why I can get in with IE, but not Google or Foxfire. Do you have any suggestions.......
On Friday, it started working again - and everything was fine. But on Sunday evening I ran the History Clean in Google and when
I went to log back in, I couldn't and got the same "Sorry" message and has stayed this way since.
I ran a Norton scan of the entire computer, a Hitman scan, a CCleaner scan, ... all to no avail. Problem still exists.
I tried to run a restore program prior to the problem, but I am getting error messages like mad.
there has been two Windows Updates in this time frame and I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not - but my Restore program does not work.
NYCsDancer -- if its working via Internet Explorer, we can't help you much. Most of the time it has to do with Cookies, or your Java Version. I'd reach out to Google's forums for assistance with Chrome

You most likely did not change the password in the outgoing mail server section of your email account.
Go to Settings > Mail, Contact, Calendars > your email account > Advanced > Outgoing Mail Server
Re enter the correct user name and password in the outgoing Mail server section even though it may say that these are optional.

I changed my Appleid online yesterday because the old one was based on an email address that is no longer active. My phone still shows the old Appleid and will not let me access APP store etc. How can I get the phone to accept the new ID?

I channged my Appleid at appleid.com and now the phone stills shows my old id and will not let apps that require id/password prompts work.

Just scroll to the bottom of the screen in the store, log out and then login with the new ID.
As long as you changed it from the manage account option at https://appleid.apple.com/ (ie. replaced the primary email address with a new one), then all your old purchases should be fine.

I'm playing Cityville on Facebook....since I updated my Firefox I am having a problem. It keeps popping up with a 'about blank' page, and will not let me play, send gifts or anything else.

when I try to send gifts, a popup window "about blank' shows up, and then it doesn't show my friends or anything else. I am having a hard time loading cityville, and am virtually unable to play the game.

So this is what I was talking about, and the small popup window plus the larger Window stating "Reported Phishing website ahead" will not go away and I cannot use Safari anymore even after I shut down my computer, disconnected it, and then signed on again and reopened Safari, it still takes me to that page and I cannot get out of it.

I had 2 iPhone 3G's, one of them screwed up and wouldn't recieve service. Up until then when I backed them up to my computer all was good, then one of them would update and all but a screen would pop up and tell me it couldn't back up to my computer. I banged my head on the wall with the same problem for two days. Tried everything mentioned, and this worked, finally. The problem is that the backup files are not where you think they are.
You need to delete the MobilSync backup folder. I have a Mac. Went to /Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup and deleted the Backup folder.
Fixed the problem. Give it a try and good luck!

I am trying to download an app from the App Store, but everytime I try is insist I answer 3 security questions. After I answer then I click done and it never fails to tell me that my session has timed out. EVERY TIME. Thus meaning I can't download anythin

SOmeone else posted a similar post. Check your settings to make sure your account hasn't disabled downloads/updates or restricked to a data amount/Wifi only, or secure Wifi, etc.
IMO you need to go to the Apple Store if none of what I typed is helpful.

Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

Running iMac, iPad/iPhone and 2 separate Airport Express, each connected to a different stereo in the house.
I would like to run the iMac itunes library remotely using the shared function on the ipad.
However when running music from iTunes on the iMac I can select speakers and both AEs so music is running from 3 sets of speakers. But on iPad I can only select iPad speakers or AE1 or AE2.
How may I get it to run both AEs please from iPad and using the Shared Function accessing the iMac itunes library?

There are several ways to recover.
1. Some of those scam pages can be dismissed very easily. Press the key combination command-W to close the tab or window. A huge box will pop up. Press the return key and both the box and the page will close. If that doesn't happen, continue.
2. Press and hold command-W. You may hear repeating alert sounds. While holding the keys, click the OK button in the popup. A different popup may appear, which you can cancel out of as usual.
3. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and uncheck the box marked Enable JavaScript. Leave the preferences dialog open.
Close the malicious window or tab.
Re-enable JavaScript and close the preferences dialog.
4. If the Preferences menu item is grayed out, quit Safari. Force quit if necessary. Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. None of the windows and tabs will reopen.
After closing the malicious page, from the menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
to get rid of any cookies or other data left by the server. Open your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.

If Mail is preventing shutdown, when it happens go to the Apple Menu>Force Quit, select Mail and click on Force Quit - it should then continue to a normal shutdown.
