I have transferred music to new computer and trying to set up playlists and will not let me drag and drop
I have transferred my music from old iPods to a new computer. I am trying to set up new playlists and it will not let me drag and drop. I have also tried clicking on song and does not give me option to Add to Playlist. Do you have any suggestions?
I Have a similar problem losing the ability to drag and drop MP3 sound files since new iTunes and Yosemite. Any ideas please?

Are you sure that those are regular playlists (music note symbol) and not smart playlists (gear symbol)? Smart playlists populate themselves according to their rules, and you cannot drag songs into them. -

I cannot transfer purchased music from pc to iphone 4. Will not let me drag and drop.
I purchased an album and downloaded to my itunes on my pc. I cannot get it to transfer (copy) to my iphone 4. It will not drag and drop nor will it copy and paste. Any solutions.
You sync it as you do everything else.
Open itunes, connect iphone, select what you want to sync, sync.
If you want to drag and drop you would have to select manually manage music.
Maybe you should read the manual. -
I am visiting from the US and using my iPad at my parents house using their WiFi. We brought a new iPad for my Mum and am trying to set it up, I get to step 3 chooses a network and it will not connect to WiFi, the same WiFi that I am using with no problem. Any ideas .
The first time you set up the iPad you must do it by connecting the iPad to a computer, which needs to be running the latest version of iTunes, using the provided USB cable that came with it. It cannot be done wirelessly initially.

I downloaded a newer version of iTunes, 10.7. Now it will not let me purchase anything. I get an error code -42408. What does this mean and how do I fix? I have edited and revised all my names and account settings, checked payment. Quit, restarted. Help please, I'm going crazy without my iTunes. I'm on a MacBook Pro.

OK, I have fixed it here. Here's what I did:
quit iTunes
trashed ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.plist
started iTunes, and authorised my account
Worked straight away after that ! -

iTunes will not let me backup and sync to new phone encrypted password?? I've never set a password for my old iPhone 3gs but tried my old Apple ID sign-in passwords to no avail. I've simply sat here so frustrated....my husband sync'd his new iPhone 4 no problem, somehow the checkbox shows Encrypted password and I'm at a loss on how to change this/find the password and transfer my old backup onto my new phone so I can use it. Can anyone help? Tnx

Sent photos from iPhone to email and messenger on iPad intercepted but now will not let me see them. Help?
If you sent the photos directly from the Photos app, it is quite possible that you selected Message rather than Mail when you emailed them to yourself. I assume that is how they ended up in the Messages app. I also assume that you no longer have the old phone or you could just email them to yourself again. Is that a correct assumption? If you cannot access the photos on the old phone any longer, and you can see them in the messages app randomly, try closing the Messages app completely and reset the device and then see if the photos reappear.
In order to close the Messages app, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to Messages and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
I had quicktime pro, I upgraded to snow leapoard and installed iLife and lost quicktime pro. How do I get it back. I tried re installing quicktime but it will not let me??

Snow Leopard update 10.6.4 included an update to 7.6.6 (if installed). You can install it from the above link even though it says for 10.6.3. It's the same version of QuickTime Player 7.6.6.

Safari will not let me copy and paste. I can still do it if I use Firefax as my browser.
Please enable guest logins and log in as Guest. Launch Safari and test. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and disable it if you wish.

What do you mean by 'will not let me download' ? Is the buy/download button greyed out ? Are you getting any error messages ?

When trying to do an update for Settings on my iPad I had to change my password. Having done that I am now stuck at 'Terms and Conditions My iPad is locked down it will not let me 'agree' and I can't get out of the procedure.
