I don't usually have a problem syncing my ipone4 but today I am getting a message on my Mac saying my phone is in recovery mode. My iphone is frozen with an illustration of the connector and itunes.
Legitimate unlocking does not require the original carrier's SIM after restoring the phone. So maybe something went wrong, for which you should contact Orange. Or maybe you didn't do the unlocking through Orange.

Where on itunes are you changing an e-mail? and for what reason?
Not sure at all what you are trying to do an it seems that you are confusing e-mail, itunes accoutns and libraries.
Please explain exactly what you are trying to accomplish.

I'm trying to sync my iphone in IPhoto. I get this message "your MobileMe account information is not correct". "The provided login or password is not valid." when I click on the "Open MobileMe Preferences" button, it doesn't take me there. Help please.
Mobile me has been discontinued for over a year. What system and iPhoto versions are you running?
How are you trying to sync? With Photo Stream or thru iTunes?
Do you have an iCloud preference pane in your System preferences?
Do you meet the minimum requirements for iCloud and Photo Stream?

My iPhone 4 will not turn on, when I plug it into my computer and load up iTunes its in recovery mode and the only option is to restore my device to factory settings, I have no back up of my phone I've also tried the home/sleep button thing but nothing, I have literally done every method I was told, I checked for water damage and that's fine. I don't want to restore my phone or buy a new one or pay for repairs because that's wasting money when it could be a simple way to fix it. And yes, I've also tried charging it and turning it in. That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

I tried to sync my iphone 4, all my contact list got messed up, all of them got douplicated. And plus I got some of my old deleted contact lists back to my iphone!!what should I do?
iTunes only keeps one backup, every new backup replaces the old one, only backups used to restore from are not overwritten and marked with a time stamp.
If you can't find any other backup in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices, your contact info's are gone. Only if you included the backup folder in your computer backup routine, you would be able to restore the old backup folder containing the latest backup at that time.

If its stuck in recovery mode then you have to restore it. Hopefully you had a recent backup on Icloud or on your computer that you can apply after restoring it. If so then you shouldn't loose your data.
Just connect it to Itunes and restore it. After it will promt you when your done to restore from backup or as new. If its on icloud unplug the phone and go through the intro screen till you get the same prompt. Sign into icloud and restore backup. -

Hi my iPhone 4 won't turn on . When plugged in on several different chargers the following happens . Blank screen then apple sign for a short period then it buzzes and goes blank. Have tried power button and home button but no change ,When connected to mac get message that phone is in recovery mode and that i must restore this phone before it can be used with iTunes . Is this my last resort as I have some photoessays I don't want to loose.

Not a great analogy, but this is a user-to-user forum, and Apple will not allow discussion of jailbreaking; if someone tried to help with jailbreaking the message would be deleted. However, if you have a jailbroken phone Apple will generally not block a discussion of how to unjailbreak it. The only problem is that not all jailbroken phones can be restored successfully; it depends on the method of jailbreaking (which I can't discuss without THIS message being deleted). -
This morning the Iphone prompted me to update software. After that it said my phone was in recovery mode and I had the restore my phone. Now most of the apps are muted and don't respond, help!
First, in iTunes, launch Preferences and go to the Devices tab. Check the date and time of the last backup. If it is recent you can restore it. However, if you mean you have the photos back in your Camera Roll then the backup was already restored. To get your music and apps back it should just be necessary to click "Sync".

my iphone 4 will not turn on but when connected to the pc in itunes it says my device is in recovery mode and when i do SHIFT restore and select my ipsw it extracts then this 3914 error message appears. i normal restore then it this error message appears 1601. and my iphone is in RECOVERY mode. and holding the power button and the home button doesnt do anything my latops just makes a ding sound after 6seconds.
