Maybe Firefox is not where I should start for this? I have Windows Vista and some programs that already have a calendar. But I would like the calendar, tasklist, my two email addresses including g-mail and Mozilla e-mail and the google search site. I would also like to go from this page that starts up when I turn on my computer to have a one-click route to either the things listed above and facebook, twitter, etc.

The file is too large to download via 3G. There is a 20MB limit with 3G. The purpose of having 3G is that you have internet access everywhere and do not need to be near a WiFi hotspot or network.
Not every single thing that you do every single minute of the day on the iPad involves downloading files larger than 20MB. You can surf the internet all day long sitting out in a park somewhere with 3G - but not with a WiFi only iPad - unless you use a hotspot with it.
Try turning off your firewall and anti virus software while you try to download the iOS update. -
I have a PC desktop and an iPad. I have a large library of PDF documents on my desktop that I would like to sync with my iPad. I would like to be able to download new PDF's and make edits on existing PDF's on either device and have those edits and new PDFs synced to the other device. I would also like to have my library available on the iPad even if there isn't a wifi connection (i.e., not on the cloud). Is that possible. I don't mind if I have to purchase a separate product or a product upgrade ect.
You can't use an external hard drive like you would with a computer.
You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
When you first connect the USB flash drive, you will only see thumbnails of the pics on the iPad; you have to import the pic file to see the full size. With your large library of pics, you will have to do this repeateably and then delete pics so you don't exceed your memory capacity.

If you do not have it on disc, then download it, install it, and activate it with your serial numnber. If you need to download it, if you purchased it online thru Adobe look for a link in your Adobe account online. You can also download the trial version and activate it with your serial number...

VolkerNo, they are not. But getting round this is not that simple.
Until recently, the European Volume Limit that you're referring to affected iPods sold within the EU (European Union countries), so one purchased in the US would not be affected by this. Nor, in theory, would an iPod purchased in Norway or Russia, since neither of them are in the EU.
However, iPod Classics now sold within the UK (where I live) now appear to have an option to disable the EU Volume Limit. I would assume therefore, that this option is available on an iPod Classic bought anywhere within the EU. The firmware on an iPod Classic that can turn off the EU volume Limit is 2.0.5.
iPod Classics running earlier versions of the firmware (including 2.0.4) cannot be upgraded. I have personally seen one with 2.0.5 Mac on it in an Apple Store and the EU limit could be turned off. Check the picture from Badgorr in this thread New Option to turn off EU Volume Cap? (It's towards the bottom of the page.) However, non-Apple stores may still have older stock, so be aware of this when you go shopping.
Experience tells me that buying an iPod from outside the European Union area is not that simple and you are unlikely to manage it. Apple will not ship goods to another country. So either you travel to the US to buy one from a shop (that's a bit extravagant) or you persuade someone else to buy one and send it to you. However, not only will you have the cost of shipping, but in either case, your country's tax department will almost certainly add tax to it when it comes into the country. The service delivering it will apply the tax and charge you for doing so as well or you get charged by the customs department at the airport. -

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library. -

I did not sync my iPad to iTunes to my PC. Now my iPad is disabled because I forgot my passcode when I installed iOS 7 to it.
Before anyone cuts and pastes the info from Apple support in response to this, I have already tried those steps. iTunes simply states that it cannot do anything since the iPad is locked with a passcode. I cannot access iCloud to use that specific advice as iCloud will not let me sign in; a message keeps coming up reading that there is an error with the server. Remote Swipe? Not sure. It is three hours later, and I am no further.
What else can I do? I never had a passcode set up when I first got my iPad. I would have bypassed this with the installation of iOS 7 if I had known about this.

Did you try opening your Dropbox on your iPad and and trying to open the book file?
Sometimes the fastest way to get a solution is simply to try it and then come online to get advice from others if you get stuck.

My old iPad had the 30 pin line in and I had an LOD cable which I ran to a headphone amp. This allowed me to use the headphone amp to control volume independent of the iPad as it was docked through the LOD. This made it louder and sound better than simply using the headphone line in of the iPad. I don't know how I can do this with my iPad Air 2 as I don't know of any cable that would connect into the 8 pin line in. I've looked for LODs to fit the 8 pin but can't find one. I bought a cheap 8 to 30 pin adapter but it only allows me to charge and sync, not dock. Does anyone have any suggestions?
The apple lightning to 30 pin works just fine for me.

Second question: Do I need to do that? If the hardware is exactly the same from region to region (not sure if this is the case,) then I could buy a computer from a local Taipei Apple store. My first language is English, so I would want a computer designed for the English-speaking market.They are the same except possibly for the keyboard, so there is really no need to go elsewhere than the local store if you can get the keyboard version you want. In Taiwan most users probably want a keyboard with Chinese characters on it in addition to the usual QWERTY letters, but they may well sell the US version. I suggest you check it out directly yourself.

Hi,
I would try a Safe Boot first. (This will take longer than a normal Boot and you will need to Restart afterwards).
If it were an older OS I would also suggest going to System Preferences > Displays and making sure the display is set to Millions. (My MacBook Pro does not have this option in Snow Leopard so I did presume Snow Leopard does not have it).
With some laptops there have been some issues with the cable up the back of the screen pulling loose with regular and frequent use of the lid, but this will not apply to you based on your specs. (it does take time to appear and is also somewhat rare). However it seems enough contact with the camera can make it appear in System Profiler and power it on but not give a pic.
If a Safe Boot does not work I would also try a PRAM reset.
Shut down the computer.
Restart it holding down Apple/CMD (or ⌘)+ALT( ⌥)+P+R Keys until you have heard three Start Up Bongs.
This is actually "less" destructive in that it clears less memory items than Safe Boot but they are different enough to warrant trying.
Do you have an older version of iGlasses installed ?
The one for Leopard does not work for Snow Leopard.
Do you have Web Browser open ?
This may point to Google Video Chat Plug-in and Flash Conflict. It would be rare to allow another app to access the camera even if not displayiong a Pic.
(Chrome Installs the Plug-in as does the standalone download).
Knowing what "any application" exactly you are trying might help us pin it down.
Any additional downloaded apps that can use the camera ?
Do you happen to have something balck in front of the camera ?
