I just bought an Ipod nano 5th gen and when i plug it in to my computer it notices it but it wont show up on my itunes i would like to know how to get to do so?

I have recently bought an ipond nano 5th generation. When i plug it in to my computer it shows up but it wont show up on my itunes. I would like to know how to make it show up on my itunes?

I am assuming you are using a Windows computer - iPod appears in Windows but not in iTunes

I was thinking that you may need to reset the iPod Nano, outlined here How to reset iPod http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1320.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and Volume Down button simultaneously for at least eight seconds or until the Apple logo appears. You may need to repeat this step.
If the above step did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep. Try resetting the iPod while it is connected to power.
If that doesn't quite get the iPod going again, then it will need to be restored. Use this article to help with that Restoring iPod to factory settings http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1339.

The music does not belong to you. You have no legal right to it and there is no way to keep it.

Hello i just bought an iPod Nano 7th gen and it got crushed the same day. Can i get a replacement?

I went to walmart and bought a 16 gb silver nano 7th gen. Upon paying for it i regretfully said no when they offered me insurance or w/e it is. So i go home, charge it and upload my music to it and head out to the gym.
Now i know most of you are gonna think i crushed it with some weights but nope. When i finished my workout i left and got on my car. When i closed the door it bounced back and i heard a crush. I look down and it appears the ipod fell out of my pocket and it got destroyed. It still turns on but the mteal is bent, the screen is all tiny shards of glass and the image behind the glass is all messed up now.
A little vent here but i honestly have the worst luck ever.
Now is it possible to get a replacement somehow?

Can you play the song in iTunes?
If you can't the song file is probably corrupt and needs to be replaced.

Go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and setting. Then re-setup the iPod with your account/media. To redownload iTunes purchases see:
