I just converted a document from Word to PDF and the URL links don't work.How can the links to work?
Anyone know how to get the links to work in a PDF that was converted from Word?
Then the problem originates from Microsoft Word; you should ask in the appropriate Microsoft Office forum.

Can Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro Convert File Hyperlink From Word to PDF?
Is there any method to convert file link (eg. C:\Documents and Settings\xxx\My Documents\xx.xls) from Word 2000? I have read many related issues, but seems cannot get the final answer. Many of them only mention about URL hyperlink (eg. www.yahoo.com). Can anyone help?
Do you mean that Office XP and later version can automatically convert the file link? No need to manually create the link in Acrobat using the link tool?
I will work this out to see whether ok or not.

Converting from Word to PDF and printer settings
I have a program that writes letters automatically in Word and if we have a PDF file as an enclosure when the letter prints, it actually converts the word document as a whole to a PDF. This part works great, however, when the letter begins with Word we have the Page setup for the printer to print the first page on letterhead (tray 1) and all pages after to plain paper (tray 2). When the word document converts to pdf, it is printing everything from tray 1 which is letterhead.
Is there any way to convert a document to pdf and keep the page settings as well?
Thanks for any input!Don't have an answer. However, you might consider creating the WORD document so that the letterhead is built in and you do not need the paper.

Hi, I have just upgraded from Aperture 2 to 3 and cant find the DEsaturation brush which I used to select from Image>Edit in A2 and does not come amongst the brushes from the Photos>Add Adjustment> or Quick Brushes in A3. Does anyone know where to find this essential tool?
there is no quick brush that you can do directly from the tools on the top of the screen if you're working in Full Screen mode?
In addition to the "Enhance" sliders that Frank pointed to, I see the "Saturation" in the "Brushes" Drop-down in Full-screen mode.
Only you have to set the amount of saturation first to a low value using the slider in the "Saturation" brick of the adjustment panel.
You may have to add the "Saturation" brick first to the "Adjustment" tab from "Add Adjustment > Quick Brushes > Saturation"
To add a "Saturation" brick permanently to your adjustments click the cogwheel in the Saturation brick and enable "Add to Default Set".
You can also save the setting - with the adjustment slider positioned as you want it - as an Effect:
Effects > Save as an effect.

In flash you can have a shell that has the navigation and some button in the shell are not activated until all clickable objects are clicked. I am not a flash programmer but it was related to using the path of shell and the sub-project.

Do I need to set variables at both levels (Global variable.Hello Lieve, That is the screen shot of my custom interactivity, when all labels are clicked the Continue button will be shown because there is a conditional validating if all Labels have now a value of 1. What I am trying to achieve is to create an interaction where where the continue button (an the back button would reside in another Captivate project. This way there is no reprograming required or use of share-actions. Everytime we use a similar advanced action or a shared action we have to make sure the object name in the advanced actions or conditional actions are not the same. I trying to make it a bit dump proof for somebody that does not know any thing about advanced action and just reuse the label interaction in may projects. (The only thing they would change would be the image and the content of the label.
Do you thing I going in the right direction. (As I said before I have custom javacript in Captivate 5.5) to unlock un button that was part of the LCMS ForceTen). I belive the word .this was part of the object path in the JavaScript. Can we hide and show a Captivate button.
I have embedded other Captivate animation in a Master Captivate but the objets were not talking to each other. (You can see a sample http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Erm4_qdybiA&feature=youtube_gdata). In that sample the continue is always there and can be click anytime. The 3 steps animation has been done as another project and embedded in my main captivate. I would like to implement a solution where a my 7 labels have to be clicked in the subproject before showing and enabling the Continue button.

Unfortunately there is no way for you to get it back. Just report it as lost/stolen to the police just in the rare case they catch someone with it. If you had "find my iphone" setup through mobile me, there would of been a chance. Sorry.

How did you convert the .doc file to .docx file? Did you get any error message?
To convert the .doc file to .docx, just open it with Word 2013, then click
FILE tab -> Save As -> choose the path where you want it to be saved, click
Browse -> Beside Save as type, choose
Word Document (*.docx), enter the File name, click Save.

There was a feature similar to what you are describing, that was in and out of the Firefox 4.0 betas last fall, but the 3.6 versions never had anything remotely like what your description has me visualizing.

I converted a 253 page document from Word 2010 to pdf using Adobe Professional 8. The pdf fike only had 251 pages. Why?
Word documents don't have a fixed page layout; Word reflows freely if it wants. This isn't normally a problem unless things like typing page numbers is done; avoid that.

How to use .joboptions file while converting from Word to PDF

I'm pretty new to Acrobat. I'm using Acrobat XI. I need to convert a word document to a PDF file which conforms to certain requirements described by a given .joboptions file. The .joboptions file can be opened by distiller, but as far as I know distiller is not invovled in the conversion (Word to PDF) process. So how can I make sure the converted PDF file meets the requirement described by the .joboptions file?Distiller is used when converting from Word to PDF, if you do it via the Acrobat panel, not the Adobe PDF printer or Word's internal Export to PDF command. If you've loaded your joboptions file in Distiller (via Settings - Add Adobe PDF Settings), then you will see it in the drop-down of Conversion Settings when you click the Preferences button in the Acrobat panel in Word.
After you've selected your job options profile click the Create PDF button, and the file will be converted using the selected options.
