I just got a replacement for my iPhone 4S, ever since i could be sitting in the same spot and go from 5 bars w/ 4G to 1 bar then it will say searching..then shortly after it will return back to 5 bars. Apple or service provider?

I just went to the Apple store not three days ago to get a replacement. They gave me a replacement then moved on to the next customer. Ever since I have gotten home my service has been going in and out. I can have my phone in the same place and it can say that i have 5 bars with 4G, then not two seconds later it will go to 1 bar, after that it will say Searching..for a little over two minutes. Then it will go back to saying that i have 5 bars with 4G, and the cycle will continue. I am not sure whether this is an Apple problem or if it is my service provider. I have talked to several others who have the same service provider and they say that they are not experiencing any problems!

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore.  Has any of this been tried?
Unless and until is has been, Apple will not do anything, beyond the basic troubleshooting listed above.

This is how you Reset  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

how can i test it in the apple store though, the ipad is in the Connect to iTunes Mode when the apple employee gives it to me, i guess ill ask him to connect it for me to one of the computers there so that it unlocks the iPad and i so that i can test it with the system running, how should i test for uneven backlighting in the store though? the lights are super bright there and this uneven backlighting problem is visible in dim environments such as my home..

  • I'm trying to update my iphone4 and the update is going extremely slow, it has been sitting In the same spot for 37 minutes now. Is that something to be concerned about?

I don't understand or know if it is bad that my phone is updating so slowly. I would like some advice on how I can get this process done.

    Hello there, Mirandabear.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some good steps to try for updating your iPhone:
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4623
If it is taking too long for you over Wi-Fi, then syncing it by connecting to your computer might prove to be a faster option:
    Update your device using iTunes
If you can’t update wirelessly, or if you want to update with iTunes, follow these steps:
If you use your device's Personal Hotspot for your computer's Internet connection, update your device wirelessly or connect your computer to another network.
Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
Plug in your device to your computer.
    In iTunes, select your device.
In the Summary pane, click Check for Update.
    Click Download and Update.

  • Itunes or icolud created a ton of the same playlist and now its on all my devices (iphone, my pc itunes, and i pad) how to i get ride of the efficiently?

While on vacation I tried to create one new playlist, but for some reason my ipad decided to create thousand(s) of the same one, and since I have icloud they created were on my iphone, ipad, and my itunes library on my pc,  now have and so many of the same playlist that I cant even count how many there are, but my best estimate in in the thousands. The worst part is now all of my devices with itunes are running slow, and if I click on the playlist it will run slow, and eventually works but not like it used to.
I've tried deleting them on my iphone or ipad, but to delete one takes about 10-15 seconds and it would take me about a month to do it this way. I tried deleting them from itunes on my PC but it is even worse doing it that way, it just freezes and since the names are all the same I can't even tell if there being deleted.
I have tried selecting more then one of the same playlist in itunes but it doesnt work.
Has anyone else ran into anything like this? I know it might sound kind of minor but I used my playlist all the time and now I'm scared to even click on them because it just starts this long, annoying waiting game.
    Help!

I just got my replacement phone from Warranty. The phone was on for just 2 hours and it crashed. I was told that motorola knows about this "possible" issue. I got a new sim, hard reset, If it can be done I did it. They are now sending me the same phone again. Number 3. I would hope this one doesn't crash but I rather have a different phone so I can enjoy using my account. The phone's most recent error was today. " Unfortunately, the process com.motorola.widget.circlewidget3d" has stopped. At least the error message works and it's polite. I told tech this and they could not answer my question or help me other then "let's do a hard reset" My warranty replacement is coming on Monday. Let's hope this one works. Anyone else havinbg the same problem. it says "such and such as stop working" on all sorts of stuff! Help! I want my iPhone Back!

I just did a google search on this issue. OMG, I got a ton of videos on this or similar issues. Each one says in some way to clear the cache, reset the data, etc. Why in the world would this continue to happen and they not do a fix that resloves this without having to lose or stop what your doing. This is a very long and constant issue it seems with Android phones as there must have been pages and pages of what I now call "Unfortunately"  So I am going to pray that Verizon helps me  out and gets me away from this issue and helps me go back to iPhone or try the Samsung.

  • Hi,  I just got a replacement iphone 4 and I do not remember my wifi password, where do I find it in my computer

Hi, My name is boohays,  I need assistance, please!  I am  pretty incapable when it comes to my iphone.  My first question is this: How do I find the wi-fi password that is in my computer?  I just got a replacement phone and I cant remember the pass word I used before to connect my phone to the wi-fi router I  have.   Thanks for any help I can get

It is in your router setup. Some routers will display the passcode, just use your administrative login and get into the router. Look under wireless and look for the passcode. If the device does not display it, you may have to reset the password. If this is necessary, you will also have to change the password on all of the devices you have that connect to that wifi network.

  • HT4528 I just got a replacement iPhone 4s and i let the battery run down all the way before charging it and now that i have put it on the charger it won't turn back on or show any signs that it is charging. its just a black screen. how do i fix it

just got a replacement iPhone 4s and i let the battery run down all the way before charging it and now that i have put it on the charger it won't turn back on or show any signs that it is charging. its just a black screen. how do i fix it

Keep iPhone on wall charger for ten minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to respond.

I think my account has been compromised. I just got a receipt for $10.69 today that I didn't spend. How do I get my money back?
I've already submitted my problem to PayPal and they are investigating it. I need to get this reversed and my money back. It's hard enough saving for formula without some ******* buying **** with my information.
    Anyone else have this problem?

It was a genuine email from iTunes, not a phishing attempt trying to get your account and payment details ?

And change your account's password e.g. by logging into it via the Store > View Account menu on your computer's iTunes, or via http://appleid.apple.com
If it is a phishing email then forward it to Apple : [email protected] , and then delete it.
