I just plugged my phone into my ITunes to update it and it went into recovery mode?!

All I did was plug it and and i was waitng for it to connect to the computer and it started to update and then next thing i know the screen changes and it has a itunes symbol and a plug and the screen tells me its in recovery mode and now it says i need to set it back to factory settings?! I havent synced recently how can i do something without losing stuff on my phone?

If you guys were performing iCloud backups, you might be able to retrieve all of your media, contacts and apps. You could restore the device, and hit "Restore from iCloud backup", then sign into your appleID to chekc.

I plugged my ipod in and it went to recovery mode and it froze the ipod but the computer tells me that i need too restore it in order to use it? i do i avoid restoring it ?

Unless this program will get it out of recovery mode you will have to restore the iPod.

I just downloaded the newest version of iTunes to my PC and I went to login to my account to change some of the settings, but now it will not allow me to do so. I even went in and changed my password and it still will not allow me to log in. I was able to login to my itunes on my iPhone and my iPad, its just my PC that isnt allowing me to do so.

Thank you for all the information of the steps you have taken. The steps you took rule out a password issue, and it sounds like it is only happening on your PC. I found an article that will help you troubleshoot this issue:

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

I am going to have to agree with planb77. Look into other drivers in your computer causing the issue, not just the nano's drivers.
It is possible that security software is the culprit. Use this:
iTunes: Troubleshooting security software issues
You may have to restore your computer to a previous point. From before the issue started. Contact computer manufacture or Windows for steps, or do a search with a search engine.
I would test the ipod on a known good computer to see if its the ipod is the issue. My gut says no. You can set a reservation at an Apple Retail Store. Apple.com/retail .You can also test a known good ipod on your computer.

Hi all, i just got an Email plugging a NEW app in the APP store, rather worryingly it went into my SPAM folder and it was from a company that i had never had any communication from or too ever before.
I thought it cant be a Virus/Spam but why did MAIL think it was SPAM
it was from APP SOFT STUDIO the APP is called "Smart Image Convertor"

I have a similar problem. I recieved an IPAD for my birthday, and my daughter updated my itunes library so i can use it with the ipad...and somehow all my songs (unpurchased from itunes, and downloaded from a large collection of CDs) ...and play lists were deleted. For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
