I just updated my iphone to ios 7 and updated itunes to 11.1. Yesterday I noticed I couldn't move music from my library to my iphone. Today I noticed that most of the music on my iphone is gone. What do I do?
I don't see how the AAC Version thing really applies here - the issue seems to be with
the time it takes for "Preparing to Update" to run when adding new songs and
the fact that a bunch of songs can get temporarily deleted from your phone, then need to be recopied over.
I should also add that I'm using iTunes for Mac (OS 10.6).
And Linda0410, if you view your phone's library in iTunes on your computer while it's copying, you should be able to see a bunch of grayed out songs, and there will be a little indicator on the left hand side of each song that's currently being copied. -

have a iphone 4. i have downloaded the latest version of itunes to update the ios. I am having problems with the back up and sync and also the update. the update error message is coming up saying it cannot connect to the iphone update server. I am useing a windows 7 32 bit laptop. If you have failed to make sure that any apps purchased on the iphone were transferred to your computer before updating, then you will have to redownload.

I just loaded iTunes 10.5 on my new windows 7 and cannot connect to the store
It sees my phone, syncs, shows my tunes, but I get a blank screen when I try to connect to the store or the help page. When I click on "View My Account" from the Store tab, I get my account info, but only as a text list - no graphics. I ran diagnostics from within iTunes (passed every test) and sent screen shots to support, but was unsuccessful in getting anyone to respond. I'm sure it's a setting somewhere within Windows (maybe???) because I can connect from other computers at my office, just not mine!

There's a good solid hint that this one affects Safari for Windows page loads as well as iTunes Store loads. (Presumably, it's via interference with the webkit engine for both applications.) Just the one example to work from so far:

... but since coming back to ASC last year, I'd also seen some otherwise-mysterious systemwide SfW page-load failures (over at Safari) that I think might bear further investigation along these lines. -

Make sure your system time & date is set properly. If it is not, then move it backwards 2 months, then try to connect to the store. Good chance it will work then.

It all started after updating my software to iOS 6.0.1. Contact problems, disappearing automatically, and I have to IMPORT SIM everytime when it happens, to bring my contacts back. And this is happening more when I'm using Whatsapp application. Every two hours using Whatsapp, my contact list is dissapearing, I'm seeing only numbers. I thought it was an Whatsapp problem, but after that, when I go into my Phone's contact list, I can see nothing ! Empty ! So I guess it's a software problem or something. Please help. Thank you.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
