Scenario 1
what do I need to do if I do not want to activate the phone portion and sign up with At&T, but do want to use all of the non-phone applications the iphone has to offer?
Scenario 2
I am currently under contract with AT&T and have a work sponsored blackberry. Let's say I did want to use the phone capabilities of the iphone but do not want to activate it and pay out of my own pocket. What can I do? I have read so many SIM related posts but have yet to find the one, single, clear answer.

If you are a current ATT customer, you wont pay an activation fee for the iPhone. But you will have to add the iPhone data plan to your bill. I don't know what your paying now, but this may, or maynot affect your overall bill. I do know, that you will loose your corperate discount though.

How can I transfer video taken with my iPhone to my iPad WITHOUT using a computer or iTunes? I'm going to Europe for a month and want to use my iPhone to take pics and video, then come back to the hotel room and use my iPad to edit/store each evening. here is a cheaper solution than camera kit and a lot easier if you have WIFI available.
I use the PhotoSync APP (I think its a $1.99) will transfer videos and photos over WIFI to any other IOS device or even PC/MAC. Great app since I like doing video and photos on my IPHONE and transfer to IPAD2 without synching through computer or doing cloud based storage.
You can even send photos/videos from your MAC/PC to your IOS devices that way too. Makes it so much easier.

Help! I have an iPod Touch 5th generation with iOS 8.1 that I just purchased two days ago. I am of the early 70's generation and this is all new to me. I have wifi at home because i have a laptop. I want to use my iPod mainly for creating playlists and then playing it through my stereo. When I turn my iPod on, it automatically connects to the internet. How can I control when I connect to the internet? I am not a kid wanting to use all the "gadgets" please help me so I don't feel that I've totally wasted all of this money on this purchase! Hey Evawantsin, turning off Wi-Fi as suggested by Illaass will do the trick, but how are you connecting to your stereo? If it uses Wi-Fi, then you need to turn the Wi-Fi on for music sessions. If through Bluetooth your fine, or do you use a physical connection like a dock, USB to lighting cable or do you just plug in through the headphone port with a patch cable? Also, you can down load the iPod Touch Users Guide for iOS 8 for free from iTunes. It will answer most questions, or at least point you in a direction. Hope this helps. Good luck, Cheers.

It sounds like you have a credit card saved to your Apple ID payment information and you would like it to be removed from the account and set the payment method to None. You should be able to do this with the following article:

I have an IPhone 6 I'm going on a cruise and I won't be making calls or using data I'm just wanting to use the camera ...is there something I can do to to turn these off?
All you need to do is turn on Airplane Mode. It's in the settings, or the easier way is to swipe up from the bottom to open the Control Center and turn on Airplane Mode there. It's the first button at the top, with the airplane icon.
When you turn on Airplane Mode all of your data is shut off. You can optionally turn on just Bluetooth and Wifi if you want; for example, if you wanted to use the cruise ship wifi without turning on your phone radio, or if you wanted to use a Bluetooth speaker or keyboard. But if you don't need all that just turn on Airplane Mode and leave Bluetooth and Wifi off. -

I'm using a Mac. I "upgraded" to LR5 from LR4. I do not want to be a member of the "Creative Cloud". I just want to use the software I purchased, specifically to upload to my SmugMug account. Is there a way to use an add-on to do this? Aperture and LR4 were easy but I'm finding it impossible without subscribing to CC.

I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions. -

I need to know what gig to get... I want to use the ipad for my college textbooks to take them to class on it. How many etextbooks would the ipad hold?
Caveat to the above: books that have a lot of pictures or graphics can be quite large; many megabytes. If you can find out from your college program what books you'll need, check to see if 1) they're available; many textbook publishers have yet to provide textbooks as e-books and 2) if they are available (from one of the e-book providers; you can use Kindle, Nook and Google books on your iPad in addition to Apple's iBooks) how large they are. Then you can add the sizes up, figure out what else you might want on your iPad (movies, for instance, take up a lot of space) and determine what capacity you'll need. When it doubt, buy more capacity than you think you'll need; an iPad can't be expanded later if you run short.

I was using the iCloud for my iPod and had recorded several irreplaceable Voice Memos. It went up to the Cloud, but I wasn't too savvy with the Cloud at that point, so it wasn't syncronizing to my home computer. So, the thing is that the iPod died and the backup is in the Cloud and I would like to load the backup to my iMac to recover my data. How can I do that? Thanks
The new device I got to replace the iTouch is a iPad and I don't see the playlist I created with previous voice memos on it at all. Is there any way to access them on the iPad? If I erase the iPad and restore it with the old back up will the Voice Memos come along and get in to my home computer or will I be out of luck?

You only need the ODBC driver on each computer. If you are distributing the SQL Toolkit app as an executable and do not install the whole toolkit on each computer, you'll need the SQL Toolkit support files. This is about a dozen files.
