I'm getting pop up dialog boxes asking me to sign into an old Apple userid when I access many apps, but mostly Safari.  How do I expunge this old userid?

I miss understood how to use this forum, so I just edited my original question to make it more clear.  This old userid should have been expunged from the Apple system, but it obviously still resides in my iPad.  I don't see it listed anywhere under Settings, so I'm lost as to how to get rid of it.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Have you tried resetting as new ?
Setup as new
Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings
It would mean that only apps that were bought with the new I D could be downloaded again and any other apps with the old ID would have to be paid for again

Check in settings-itunes and app stores, to see what it is showing as far as apple id. If its not yours, log in as yourself. Also check settings-icloud and sign in

  • I have been getting a popup dialog box asking me to update flash player, but I don't know if I should trust it, as the exe file name is "tmp4E11.exe".

    Hi Team,
I am only sending you an email as I am unable to find the answer to this question anywhere on your web site.
Just started within the past half an hour, I have been getting an update Flash Player dialog box popping up on my desktop, saying to update now or later or not at all, but I don't recognize it as the standard type of update dialog box that is sent by Adobe.  The file name that is being used to click on for the update is "tmp4E11.exe:, is this a genuine Adobe update.  I just can't stop this dialog box from popping up every ten seconds.  HELP please.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
if it's popping up every 10 seconds or so it's not official Flash Player update as ours does not display that often.  Can you post a screenshot of it, How to post a screenshot in the forum.

  • On Mac, I want to get back the dialog box asking "Hide Photoshop or Hide Extra"

    Hi, Merry Christmas
I had a dialog box when I pressed Cmd H, and I decided it to Hide Extra.
I want to see the dialog box again and it was only for the first time.
I have reset my Keyboard shortcuts and pressed Reset All Warning dialogs in the preference menu, but it does not appear
To be specific, I am not asking how to change its behavior when I press Command H.
I know how to change it int the keyboard shortcut menu.
I just want to see the dialog box again.
    Thank you in advance

I believe you have to reset the photoshop cc preferences by holding down Shift+Cmd+Option, then start photoshop cc, keep holding the keys down until
you see the dialog asking if you want to delete the photoshop settings file and press Yes.
Then you should see that dialog after pressing Cmd+H, but only once will you see the dialog until you reset the photoshop cc preferences again.

  • Why does a box asking me to sign into iTunes keep popping up?

Last night I logged on to buy something from one app.  It froze up on me.  When I went into one of my other apps purchases had been made.
Now I have the little box pop up asking me for my pass word.  But I wasn't trying to buy anything.

When you buy an app (or music, etc), that item is forever associated with the Apple ID that was used to buy it.  If you later change the connection to the itunes store (i.e. use a different ID) you will need to provide ID and/or password of the old ID.
Sounds like this is your problem.  Be sure your itunes store account is the old one.

  • Getting pop-up dialogue boxes in MacMail...

    Hello;
Just want to report this bug in 10.7...
When I open a composition window in MacMail, and I hover the cursor on the window the curor changes to the 'finger pointer' and I get pop-up dialog boxes from my Fidelity Widget displaying on the application window, the position of the cursor is relative to the position of the Fidelity Widget on the Dashboard window.... and WOW! it is happening as I type this message...when I move the cursor over to a region that is correlated to the where the Widget exists on the Dashboard window, these pop-ups appear... I am using destop 1 and the Dashboard sceen is a page on Mission Control... annoying....

1.I open an email with a PDF attachment
    2. I click on the document to preview it
    3. At the top of the document preview window (within GMAIL/FIREFOX) I choose the print icon that pops up (The icon choices are "Open", a down arrow, google drive symbol, print symbol, download symbol. These all appear in the top center.
    4. The document opens in a new tab in Firefox and the adobe print dialog box pops up.
    5. I either choose "print" or "cancel"
    6. A second dialog box pops up, repeat step 5
Note: This also happens if I change the applications option to open PDF's with Adobe Acrobat, instead of with Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox); the difference is that at step 4, the document opens in the Adobe Acrobat program.

You will get them on IE. I suggest you also contact Google support, as this is also a problem on their end. I too have everything set to Google on both Firefox, Opera, IE, and Chrome and the only one not getting the annoying banners is surprising Google Chrome.

  • How to prevent dialog box asking how to handle PDFs while Protected Mode is disabled?

    Hello,
So I must be missing a Registry Key setting somewhere or something (I hope).  We have Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.1.4.  When we install Adobe Acrobat Reader we disable Protected Mode due to some issues with it.
My problem is, when you launch Reader or try to view a PDF embedded in a web page (or anywhere else for that matter) it will pop up a dialog box asking you how to proceed.  You are given three options:
Open PDFs while Protected Mode is disabled this one time.
Always open PDFs while Protected Mode is disabled.
Never open PDFs whle Protected Mode is disabled.
I need to configure it so that option 2 is how Reader behaves.
We are a small shop, I have only 4 people on my team (excluding me).  We have over 1500 machines as public kiosks that need to get this configured when 10.1.4 is installed.  Reader is currently out of date in our deployment, apparently because of this issue holding back pushing newer versions.
If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.  I set it manually and looked at the registry hive for Adobe and didn't see any changes to existing keys or any new keys created so I'm not sure this is something that can be done via the Registry...

Well, this didn't come up in Google Searches initially and I'm not finding the search feature here at Adobe.com to be very useful.  Actually, I can't even seem to see one for the forums...
Anyways this seems to cover the issue: http://blogs.adobe.com/dmcmahon/2012/07/27/adobe-reader-cannot-open-protected-mode-due-to- a-problem-with-your-system-configuration/
Which helps explain why it became a problem for my deployment.  I'm suspecting that its a problem with Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 needing to have an exception for AcroRd32.exe.  I hate to do it given its an infection path but we do what we must.  I will update this post once I have verified that this is what the issue is.

  • Whenever i want to update my apps the iTunes box pops up for you to sign in but the account it's asking me to sign into isn't mine and i do not know how to sign in using my account

The email that iTunes wants me to sign into is my mums which is weird because my mum has never touched my ipod so i don't why iTunes is asking me to sign into her account.
I've tried finding ways to change it but i can't seam to.
Another thing is that when i download an app, iTunes manages to get the email right and the box pops up with my email account and not my mums.
Please help me change this because i cannot update my apps.
    Many thanks

    - Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
    - To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
    To change the login
    - Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.
You may have apps purchased with her account that need updating.

  • Photoshop CS5 pop-ups (Dialog boxes) will not stay / stick in place

My pop-up / dialog boxes have always opened in the same place as I had placed them from the previous time I had used them. All of a sudden they will no longer stick / stay, they open in the center of the page.
For example when I first open PS and I click Ctrl > C for Brightness / Contrast the box will open in the center of the page. If I move it to the side (so its not in the working area) it should open in that spot the next time I use it.
But now it will always open in the center of the page regardless of where I have placed it before. Very annoying it have to move the dialog boxes all the time.

    What OS are you running?
I know of no way Windows can cause that, but I don't know about OS X.
If you can't find a direct solution, it might be a case where a complete Photoshop preferences reset to defaults could help...  Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt simultaneously (or Command - Shift - Option if on a Mac) immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be really quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to the establishment of a fresh default set. If it does not prompt you, you haven't been quick enough to get the keys down.

  • I am attempting to update a page onmy website and the dialog box asks for a password for "50.63.96.1  I have no password and never needed one before. Please advise. Thanks, Regina

I am attempting to update a page onmy website and the dialog box asks for a password for "50.63.96.1  I have no password and never needed one before. Please advise. Thanks, Regina

That would be the password for your FTP server. You can only get this from your web hosting company. You should contact your web hosting company and ask them for your FTP Publishing details.
Then select your web site name at the top of the list of web pages in iWeb. You'll see input fieldd for your FTP details. Enter what you get from your web hosting provider in those fields.

  • How can I Create custom pop up dialog box with question/answer

I need to create a pop up dialog box that asks a question and accepts an answer input.  The form needs to be able to be emailed out (not server based)  Can someone help me do this?  I am a designer,  with very (Very!) limited coding skills.   Looks like the windjack program that I keep running into does not work with Acrobat X.
Thanks for any help you may have

I am not able to help you with the current method you are using - which seems an odd one in that you are using a menu script to do this????
I would have done the page completely differently - instead of slicing it up into a vastly complex table, I'd have added the image to the page and then used an imagemap.  Then I'd have used this script to add the popups (as toolitps) that you can be as simple or as complex as you wish: http://boxover.swazz.org/.

  • Move an application "pop-up" (dialog box) with keyboard possible?

Is there a way to move an application's pop up (dialog box) with a keyboard command/shortcut? I had a situation where I was not connected to my 2nd monitor and an application popup box was opening on that 2nd (*not connected*) monitor.
I hate to say this; but on a PeeCee, a user can move a window via the keyboard. Is this possible on a Mac? Thanks!

no, it's not possible on a mac. if the popup open on the other monitor connect the second monitor and move the popup with a mouse. it should open on the main monitor form now on.
If you don't have a second monitor at all do the following.
    1) goto System Prefs - universal access - enable access for assistive devices.
Paste the following into Script Editor and press run. This will move all offscreen windows currently open on the second monitor to the main screen.
