I'm having all sorts of connection issues on a iPhone i brought in the uk 6 months ago. am i able to use a genius bar abroad as I'm not returning to the uk?
i brought a iphone 5 back in feb/march and since then its slowley getting worse and worse, my wifi hardly pickes up any signals and when it does they drop out all the time. my girlfriends iphone4 picks up and has no trouble holding onto the wifi, whilst sitting at the same table mine shows no signals. Im not returning to the uk any time soon so i want to know if its possible to visit an apple store for replacement abroad? im only 6 months into my apple care so i wouldnt think this should pose an issue. any help would be fantastic

Yes, despite being it an iPhone5 (8.0.2) attempting to connect to an Airport Express.
In my case the iPhone "connects" to Airport Express 2nd generation, but no Internet packages are available; Airport Utility shows the Airport Express as not connected to the Internet; but the iMac, MBP, Motorola phone, Samsung Smart TV and HP printer connect without any trouble.
The actual issue is the DHCP :
sometimes the iPhone gets none, and
when an address is assigned it just doesn't work,
even renewing the address won't work all the times,
switching off and on the WiFi won't work all the times neither,
going on Airplane mode, then back won't work all the times.
Solutions attempted and failed:
Reseting and reconfiguring Airport Express;
Reseting iPhone;
Switching off and on the iPhone;
Setup the DHCP renewal for every 5 days;
Meditation and stark visualisation;
Other possible patch not yet attempted : setting fixed IP addresses
All suggestions received resemble Windows' "Plug & Pray"
I gave up after reading several notes around the WWW complaining about it.
Last credible suggestion : wait for 8.0.3 or 8.1, whichever fixes the issue first. -
I seem to be having a lot of connectivity issues my iPad. It takes a long time to load and sometimes will not load a page at all. I seem to be having issues with streaming in that it will play a song and just stop. It seems I have to turn it completely off and restart.
Anyone had these issues?Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings

wi-fi connectivity issues on my iPhone 5S here. Recognizes wifi, shows full signal but no functional internet connectivity and no email updated. Had to reboot my iphone 5s to get emails. If I turn off wi-fi, then email works fine.
When I updated my iPhone 5s to iOS 8.0.2 and everything was working fine, for a few hours, then I began to lose connectivity with emails and safari. I notice that it works fine thru AT&T but thru wi-fi is an on-going issue.

I have reset all my settings and content of my iphone 3GS but for the last 3 hrs I am stuck at the apple logo and after sometimes its getting off and on by itself but what is coming back is the same apple logo and nothing else is happening. pls advice.

I can't make or receive calls in my iPhone 5(just bought second hand and unlocked), but I am able to use 3G network. If I use the same SIM card in other phone it works fine. I have tried network resetting and restore.

If you have tried the basics restart, reset, restore, then make an appointment at the genius bar. If the iphone is defective then they will replace it. -
I'm having trouble with my Apple ID. I changed my email account, and recently (a month ago) and since I switched is requested every time I open any app to Apple ID password to the old email. How can I solve this? Could it be that my iPhone 4S is in sync with my Ipod???
If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPhone by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPhone. If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

Eons ago, when I took the Labview I & II courses, I remember the instructor stating that correct VI's had to have error line. I downloaded this VI example from Futek's website and the code doesn't use it. I am trying to utilize it for some data collection rather than have to pay for their software that goes with the sensor. When I first try to run the VI I get an error, and if I replace the formula they use, then undo the replacement it appears to work. The engineer that I am trying to help out is basically wanting to be able to read and also write a file during test, and I am running into all sorts of problems.
If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Then I get the Formula: Library version is incompatible with XNode version.
If I replace the fomula, and then undo replace it will correct the broken start arrow.....
I took the labview 1 and 2 courses 5 years ago, and haven't been a regular user so I am what you would call extremely rusty.
I have an engineer here that is wanting to use the sensor for some testing and can't really understand why I am having so many issues.
Do you know if NI has someone that might be able to work through this with me, or even if there is some Labview consultant that can be paid to help out?

All sort of technical issues. Huawei Y550
A week ago I bought Pay as you go (international phonecals) sim card with Huawei Y550 phone. Since then each day I'm experiencing all sorts of technical/network issues with it. Few examples: 1. At the second day I've received 468 text messages from EE asking for top up, all sent within 2 hours.2. 4G didn't work right from the start, there was no internet connection despite of small 4G icon showing up on the right corner - I've restareted my APN and everything went back to the norm.3. At the fourth day I've received over 300 text messages from EE asking about top up4. At the fifth day I've noticed that each phonecall or text messages I have made, are showing on my online account multiplied - each of them exactly 19 times.5. At sixth day (yesterday) I couldn't make any phonecalls, each time I've dialed any number I was told that I have not enough credit to do it - despite of still having over 400 minutes available as according to my online account.6. Today morning I can make phonecalls ( it just fixed itself, I haven't done anything), but 4G is not available again and I can't get internet access. I'm pulling my hears now trying to understand what is happening, Can anybody explain that to me and give me some advices please? Thank you.Peter.

All my devices connect to a single base station, instead of the one closest to it.

I have an Airport-based wifi network and it works great. The only problem is that all my devices connect to the main base station, instead of the one closest to them. This has created a problem because my house is large enough that I need the extra access points to extend my network. So when I go to another part of my house, away from the main base station, the connection gets slow. This is also a problem for my Apple TV. It is closer to my Airport Time Capsule, but still tries to get its signal from the main AirPort Extreme, making screen mirroring slow when playing a video. Right now I have 1 Airport Time Capsule, 2 Airport Extremes, and 1 Airport Express.My Airport Time Capsule is extending from my Airport Express.
This is not possible.
The way apple extend works is a hub and spokes type of system. You cannot double extend. It is possible however to do a complex system with the express as a wireless bridge and ethernet connect that to the the Time Capsule. If you do such things.. slowness is a guaranteed part of the package.
Even double hop wireless will slow things down dramatically.. and for streaming video by airplay mirror is to be avoided. You need to use more ethernet or some hard wired alternative like EOP (homeplug) adapters.
The symptoms you described there are kind of the problem. This is especially a problem for the Apple TV. It makes screen mirroring very slow. I will try some of the diagnostic programs and see what I can find. Also, what difference would what channel they're on make?
I don't understand why the Apple TV is roaming.. surely you have it fixed in one place and plugged into a TV. The problem is not the ATV it is the other end device that you are streaming from.. if you are moving that around the house then that is wrong way to do things.
For screen mirror which is highly data intensive.. and often has issues with speed even up close.. you need both devices running 5ghz wireless in the same room with each other.. and you should setup wireless so that no extend can happen in this scenario.. it will simply not work over extended wireless. It barely will work over wireless at all. In fact you should look at either plugging in the ATV or plug in the device you are mirroring by ethernet.
Channels matter because they interfere with each other if too close.. or the neighbour uses it. Or you have a cordless phone or an AV sender or security front door TV system or a baby monitor or a zillion other things which all use the free 2.4ghz band.
