I'm new to the whole thing of forums, so I apologize if I'm doing this wrong . . . I need help on with an old version of Adobe Photo Deluxe 2

I have the disc for Adobe Photo Deluxe 2 --- I know it is a very old program, but it does what I need to do in a very easy way. I have tried downloading PhotoShop Album starter edition and Adobe Photoshop Elments version 7 - and they just don't do what I need as easily - or I can't figure it out. Anyhow, I'm using vista on a new machine and cannot run Adobe Photo Deluxe 2 - any help to get this program running would be greatly appreciated. I'm mainly using it to fix and edit clip art for a church newsletter. So I really don't have a lot of money (like none) to spend on buying a new program that still won't do what I need it to do. Thanks for any and all help on this issue.

First use JPanel not Panel.
Panel panels[]=new Panel[4];becomes
JPanel panels[]=new JPanel[4];Then refactor your code so that you use arrays correctly:
panels=new Panel();
panels.setLayout(new FlowLayout(FlowLayout.LEFT));becomes
panels=new JPanel();
panels[i].setLayout(new FlowLayout(FlowLayout.LEFT));
I did the above changes to your code and it worked fine.

Congratulations on your new laptop! I understand that you have copied your old iTunes Library to your new computer, but you are still not seeing the music. I recommend reviewing Part 5 in the section titled "External drive" in the following article:

If you are still having trouble transferring the library using this method, you may want to try using the Home Sharing method in the article.

I have strange music playing in the background whenever I turn on firefox. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and the same thing happens. It is only on one computer that this is happening. Help?

This problem started last night when I was searching for a website that would enable me to watch past TV episodes. I have no idea on what website this occurred. Is there a way to find where the music is coming from so we can turn it off. It is the same four or five bars of music over and over. I called apple, but they punted this to you since it only happens when firefox is open.

I am having a similar problem. Running Xp.
Latest revision of firefox.
After using firefox for a while if I exit, parent.lock is locked and i have to reboot to reload firefox.
I have killed all firefox applications from task manager (usually there are none). and I have tried 3 different "file unlock" programs including unlocker to no avail.
I also recently installed a program that shows -all- open files, and parent.lock is not listed, and thus not closable/unlockable from there.

Clicking on other's photos in Facebook exits the whole thing

I am using iPhone5 and ios7. This problem was already present even before I updated to ios7.
When I visit other's Facebook profile and click on the Photos (to check on that person's photos) the whole app exits. It just brings me back to my phone's menu/home screen. It simply exits the whole Facebook app without any notification whatsoever. I tried doing this several times.

I had a Time Machine, but I have many external drives, and must have off-site backups, so it got to be a pain, I outgrew it quickly.
I did some research, and I don't see anywhere that Retrospect does incremental backups with a Mac Package file. I have version 6, and they have a new 8, but none of the support docs mention Packages.
So, I don't know. I'd really hate to have to use 2 separate strategies to backup properly. I want to hit one "go" command and walk away and know everything is copied properly.

I had an old crap laptop that wasn't apple and I used that for the past 2 years to sync my iPod but I have got rid of that and now I have an iMac. I have forgotton the 4 number digit passcode to my ipod and I have tried about 25 different combinations and I still cant get it right, so I just came to the conclusion that I have to reset the whole thing. I couldn't do it on my old laptop because it would keep running out of memory and I cant get it to connect to my new pc.
Can someone please guide me through on how to connect it up to something to reset it. Thanks

Yes, you have to find the catalog file from the CC trial (use your operating system to search for it, the file name ends with .LRCAT), and then once you find it, open the LR5 trial and open the catalog you just found using File->Open Catalog

I set up time capsule using a wireless 4g modem. it's been five hours and it still is saying making backup disk available (4.97 GB of 18.52 GB). Can I stop the whole thing, get a ethernet cable and start over to increase the speed of the backup?

Try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum).
If all else fails, take it to your local Apple Store or Authorized Repair location, they may be able to determine whether the disk is dead.

I suspect that beautify doesn't touch CSS that it is not aware of (e.g. new properties/syntaxes, vendor-prefixes). See if there's a newer version available.
Which compressed CSS are you using? Most CSS libraries come with both compressed and original stylesheets, so use the original one during development/debugging, and switch to the compressed one for deployment.

this one is actually a really rare symptom of a flaky connection to the ipod on a Windows PC. there's more going on in terms of hardware on nanos and 5th gens than in the earlier models ... so if the connection is flaky to precisely the right/wrong degree, itunes will see the ipod, but misidentify it as an earlier version of ipod.
tracking down the cause of the flakiness can be tricky ... as you already know ...
just checking. have you tried connecting with a different (known-good) USB cable? does that seem to have any impact on the rate of occurence of the problem?

You will need a separate partition unless you plan to use the entire drive. You will need an amount of space somewhat larger than the total space now used on your startup drive. If you select the startup drive's Desktop icon, then press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. Used space will be shown in the topmost panel. Add a GB or two to that number to determine how much space you'll need for the backup.
Do not backup on a drive that has any files you want to keep. You can make a bootable backup as follows:
Clone using Restore Option of Disk Utility
1. Open Disk Utility in the Utilities folder.
2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag
it to the Destination entry field.
5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
the Source entry field.
6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.
