I'm trying to add a line to my account by purchasing a phone on Amazon.

I know I am using the correct billing password and I do know the answers to all the other information (when I was born, drivers license number, etc.).
The response is:  "There appears to be a problem with the information you have provided. Please validate and re-enter, if it is incorrect."  How do I figure out what is wrong?

I am the account owner.   I am trying to add a line.  Phone is the S5.  $79 to add line on Amazon vs $199 on Verizon.  I contacted sales via chat to ask if I could get the recent $99 deal and was told no.
When it's requesting my phone number, I'm entering my primary account mobile number.  Obviously the new line doesn't have a number at this time.
I'm wondering if it's something squirrelly like my drivers license expiration date.   I'm quite sure that I've renewed my drivers license since I've last done anything with Verizon.  Sadly, since it has expired in 2013, the website won't let me put the former date in it.  Could be something else, but that seems like something that would fall through the cracks -- they have no way of knowing when my drivers license got renewed.
Do I contact Verizon customer service via phone and try to verify the information they have?  Can I contact account services via chat?   I usually can do other things when waiting for chat, vs waiting for phone.

    I am trying to add a line to our share everything plan. However when I try to do it, it says that I need to purchase a phone at a store to do so. Why am I not able to add a line online? Does this mean we can't add a line at all?

    When did you print the ePrint info page?
    If it is ok with you please print another info page, and as soon as you print it please enter the code in the ePrint center.
    The reason i m asking you to do this is because the code expires within 24hrs.

    I was wondering if i have to pay for the activation fees if i add a few more lines to my existing account (next). Will these fees be waived if i have my main acocunt opened before August 1?

    Next is the financing plan for phones.   You are on a Mobile Share Value Plan.  If you want to add new lines, the activation fee is $45 one time fee.  It is not usually waived.

    First off there is no such thing as a Thunderbird email account. Email providers issue email accounts and Thunderbird is email client software and not a provider.
    You can look at the server settings in Thunderbird to see the settings it is using or you could get a list from your provider.
    In Thunderbird go to the menu bar and select Tools-Account Settings-Server Settings to see the Inbound settings and Tools-Server Settings-Outbging Server(SMTP) for Outbound settings.
    No menu bar with Tools showing? Press the alt key.

  • Why is the "Choose File" button disabled when trying to add a photo to my account?

    I have an iPad 1 and when I try to add a photo to my profile the "Choose File" button is disabled although I can choose a different Avatar. I suppose I could log in using my phone and try but that would defeat the purpose :-)

    It's been a while but I think you hold SHIFT while typing a page break (RETURN) to make a new line without shifting to another cell.
    However, as Excel isn't an Apple product, I am sure you will get a faster and more current answer by using Microsoft's Office:Mac forums here:

        loganpdailey, you've reached the right place for assistance. We're here to help. It sounds like you may have a pending order in our billing system which is restricting the addition of that line. You will need to call our customer service department from an alternate phone at 800-922-0204 to verify why your order did not complete.
    Does your current device have physical or liquid damage? What happens when you charge it to full capacity? Have you tried connecting your device to a different charger? Which make/model phone do you have?

  • Can't add a line.  Customer support makes things worse.

    I'm having a lot of trouble adding a line and activating a phone on it.  When I try to do it on the website it fails for no specified reason.
    I tried calling and the first person took my information and hung up on me.
    I called again and the second person took my information, lied to me during a sales pitch, but said he added a line and told me the number for the new line and to activate my phone in 15 minutes.  When I tried to activate 15 minutes later it said they didn't recognize the number.  My account online didn't show a second line.
    I called a third time, explained that I was trying to add a line and activate a phone.  The operator got very confused and added my new phone to my old number.  This meant my old phone didn't work any more!  Eventually, she punted me back to sales.  I hung up because I didn't feel like being lied to again tonight.  I was able to activate my new phone with the old number, so at least I can receive calls.  Now when I look online it shows two lines both with the new phone.
    What I need to do is now a bit complicated.  I need to switch the new phone to the new line and reactivate the old phone on the old line.  How can I get this fixed if every time I call customer service they make things worse?

    This is absolutely riddiculous!  I've been trying to port FOUR lines from an existing Sprint account and after 2 successful ports, the last two have been blocked due to some sort of Fraud Alert?
    I drove all the way to Boston store to activate the remaining two lines, and was blocked from doing so.
    I called on Thursday, Oct 3rd, and was told by the representative that someone would call me back.  No one called me.
    I called on Friday, Oct 4th, and spoke to Fraud department finally - and the person HUNG UP ON ME.
    I called again on Friday night, spoke to 3 different people including a manager - AFTER HOLDING FOR 1 HOUR, and they assured me that they would get me in touch with Fraud and they would call me back.  No one called me back.
    I went into the Apple store in Natick, and went through the activation process, and again - after being told by Verizon that the hold was removed - I couldnt activate my phone.  I spent another 2 hours on the phone with Verizon - they told me "110% the hold was released".  When I went to the physical Verizon wireless store in the mall - they told me the opposite, that there is still a hold on the account.
    What kind of incompetence is at play here?  I've never experienced such unprofessionalism, a lack of alignment, and just general disarray in any context. 
    Why is it so difficult to simply port over lines from an existing account?  Does Verizon not want my service?  Currently half my family is on Verizon, and half is on Sprint.  I'm double paying.  Most frustrating is the multiple and conflicting reports about a simple question:  Is the hold removed or not?  If not, why not?  How can I expedite this process. 
    Instead I've wasted almost a week of my free time running around the state.  I need to speak to someone NOW.  I'm on hold again calling verizon.  Its been over half an hour.

    Alright, I know this is a question about how to go around the system, but I gotta ask.  I recently got a Palm Pre Plus due to issues I had with my Droid Eris.  Needless to say, I am just not very pleased with the Pre Plus either.  No useful apps, the keyboard tends to leave letters out while typing, it is choppy. Anyway, my question is, since I am not eligible to upgrade, and can't afford to buy a new phone right now, is there a way I could add a line to get a discounted price, then cancel the phone I have now.  I know there would be some sort of termination fee, but it would be cheaper than getting a new phone.  I don't want a used one, and I have bought phones from ebay before, I just would like to have a new one.  Along with that, when I add the line, I would need to have my phone number attached to the new phone so  I could get rid of the phone I currently have. So, my question is, is it possible to add a new line and have my number go to that phone, then terminate the phone I have and go back to just having two lines on the account?

    i think you have 30 days to return the phone, if your in that window, try that
    if not the only way to get the new phone on your number with the add a line would be
    1. add the new line with new number and new phone
    2. change your phone to the new line
    3. change the new phone to your old line
    4. terminate the line with the full etf
    this is expensive, 350 for a smart phone, 175 for a reg phone -  iirc
    keeping the second line would only be 9.99 a month, maybe give it to a family member?
