I'm trying to install CS5 design standard. Which disc do I install first? One says, "CONTENT" the other has no label. When I search how to install it tells me to install disc 1. I have nothing that says disc 1.

Edit the SMTP server list. Add a new one for the business account. Put the correct password and information for it. Give it a description so you will know which server is which. Mke sure the correct server is highlighted in the account selected and check the box to use only that server for that account. Do that for the other account also.

I have time machine saving onto two usb drives. The backup is 4.6TB. Each drive is 6TB. Why is time machine only updating one drive? (The other has been the same for two weeks.)

I have selected both drives in the Time Machine settings panel.
My understanding was that it would do a full backup, and then incremental backups of changed files, getting rid of old copies as needed, and alternate between the two drives.
But it looks like drive A has one complete backup, dated two weeks ago, and drive B is the only one getting action.
There is a red icon on drive one that says the drive needs 120GB more space to do a backup -- which is strange since the whole backup set is only 4.6TB in size, and the drive is 6TB in size...

You could try a clone instead.

Hi there. I'm Chris from the Netherlands. While trying updating my CS5 Design Standard Suite I'm recieving next error:

It is not clear to me what your issue is with not being able to sign in to your Adobe account to find the serial number. You should still be able to sign in and find your serial number if you registered the software.
If your first PC is a Windows machine you might be able to extract the serial number from it using the Belarc Advisor

J3liu1 I would recommend reviewing the installation log files for the specific error message which you are facing. You can find details on how to locate an interpret your installation log files at Troubleshoot installation with install logs | CS3, CS4. You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

Installing CS5 Design Standard on my powerbook

i would like to install CS5 Design Standard on my new Powerbook without a DVD reader and can't find the place where i can download the two files (design standard and acrobat professional)? I have the two serial numbers.

I still have a problem by entering my serial numbers. When I check the mail with the the serial numbers that I’ve received in 2011 from Adobe (for CS5 Design Standard en Adobe Professional) it is mentioned that the language is DUTCH.
Could that be the problem why I get a message “serial number incorrect” ? I think the software I downloaded is an English version.

All versions of Adobe apps install into their own separate folder.
You can run CS5 and CS6 side by side.

CS5 Design Standard. Will not activate on new HDD following transfer from old HDD. Shows Error 213.10 Have serial number/s etc.

I recently encountered a problem with a HDD drive. So I had to replace it with a new one. Fortunately I managed to recover the data and applications on the original drive.
However when I transferred and installed the Adobe CS5 Design Standard suite on the new HDD it will not open any of the Adobe applications.
It prompts an error 213.10 each time. I can't see where to deactivate or reactivate.. please advise suggested course of action.
Also, will I be able to successfully access my previous files after the reinstallation/activation?

Reinstall properly. Activation cannot work because in the technical sense it simply isn't there. You screwed it. Run teh cleaner tool if necessary and contact support to reset activations.

I am using an iMac OS 10.5.8, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1 GB, 800 MHz. AllI know is that you can't upgrade from CS1.
I am in the misdt of several production projects and can't afford a mistake or down time. Thanks for any and all help.
P.S. Is Snow Leopard compatiable with CS4?

You can upgrade from CS1 to CS4. CS1 will be out of the upgrade path when CS5 is released.
You don't need to remove CS1 it does not conflict with CS4. I have CS1 through CS4 installed and playing nicely together.
CS4 is compatible but I would stay with 10.5.8 until Apple gets most of the bugs worked out of Snow Leopard. that is usually about the 4th update.

As you have discovered... you cannot use the install discs from another Mac...

It's a better bet with a 2330, but the first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

HT5581 Somehow my QuickTime player is no longer. I tried to download it again and it keeps telling me that the feature you are trying to install is on a network resourse that is unavailable. What does that mean to a novice like myself?

For some reason my Quick Time player no longer works or even show up in my programs list.
